12 Ch.12 Chocolate Pastry

Instead of saying something, they just kept staring at each other as she looked at me with her eyes swimming around and with red ears, 'She is too cute and innocent.'

Even though he could have broken the silence, he didn't as he found the reaction too cute and wanted to see how long she could do it.

"Ohh looks like it was too good instead of bad hehe." They were broken from their staring after the man at the counter commented after seeing them and then went back to his phone.

Even though he couldn't see her face due to the mask, he could already feel that she was frowning while looking away from that man.

"The bill is done, so we're off then." Without any delay, he held her hand and went out of the restaurant to escape from that smell.

"He was kind of weird." The man was kind of surprised by Oga's behaviour but he didn't pay much attention to it and just went straight back to his phone, "Right now the swimsuit is more important hehehe."

Walking outside, Oga could see many hotels like the one he saw outside and many couples going around the area some were wearing masks, some bold ones were not wearing any.

'Is that a high schooler with an old man?' He spotted one specific couple and was shocked by their clothes as the girl was wearing a school dress while the guy, probably in his 40s, was wearing casual clothing.

'Yeah never come here ever again.' After that, he held her even more tightly and started to get out of this area pretty slowly to match the regular pace of Chifuyu.

While getting out of the area, he didn't notice one thing and that was the girl he was holding hands with, right now her whole face was red as she looked at their hands.

After walking for a while they finally got out of the adult area and arrived in an area filled with various restaurants and cafes.

While walking through the adult area, he didn't notice it but after getting out of that area he realised that Chifuyu was not talking at all.

So worried he turned towards her to look at her condition but was met with the sight of her hair and red ears as she was looking down at their connected hands.

"Ahh sorry." In a rush, he forgot about holding her hands and kept holding them till now which probably made her uncomfortable.

"It's okay." She replied while turning around but he could see that her ears were still a little bit red, probably due to embarrassment of holding his hands.

But he didn't decide to mention it as it could make the situation quite awkward so instead he looked around the area for a good cafe where they could go for lunch.

"Anything you would specifically like to eat?" He asked her first as he still didn't know much about her, especially what kind of food she liked.

"Not really, you can decide." She said while turning towards him and looking calmer than earlier while occasionally glancing at their hands.

"If you say so… Well let's look around first." He also didn't have anything planned to eat so he thought they should look around first.

'And she might be able to find something she would like.' Right now, he wanted her to have the best time possible to reduce her hate towards him.

"Hmm." She nodded and lined up next to him as they started looking around the area filled with various cafes to find something they would like.

While looking around the area, he would occasionally glance at her while she kept looking around the area.

After walking around for a while, he noticed that she was looking at one specific cafe that was advertising chocolate pastry for a discount with interest but didn't voice it out and looked around at other places.

"Hmm, how about we go there? I wanted to try something sweet right now." He then pointed towards the cafe that she was looking at earlier, with surprised eyes she looked at him but then just nodded.

"You want some chocolate pastry? It looks like they are on discount today?" He asked even though he knew what the answer was going to be from her, 'Well can't risk it and make a mistake.'

"Yup, I would love to." For the first time in a while today, he could hear her sound happy and excited which made him smile but then she realised what she was like earlier and turned around to not face him.

"Well let's go." With an excited voice, he started walking towards the cafe with Chifuyu next to him.

Entering the cafe, they were greeted by something of a modern-looking cafe filled with various people but mostly couples of various age ranges.

"Oh, it looks like a great place." He said removing his mask as he almost forgot that he was wearing it while being pleasantly surprised that they landed in an area popular with couples.

"Hmm." Chifuyu just nodded her head but didn't remove her mask yet and just followed Oga towards an empty table while not paying attention to the couples around them.

After sitting down at the table, he didn't look at the menu on the table but instead looked around the area for the waiter as he already knew what he was going to order.

"Ahh miss here, we gotta order." He lightly waved towards a black-haired woman in her 20s who had just finished taking orders from another table across theirs.

"You are not going to check the menu?" Chifuyu looked at his curious expression as while she was checking what to order, Oga didn't even start and already called the waitress.

"Well I just love cheesecake so there's no other choice that I am going to pick." He said scratching his head as cheesecake was something he couldn't resist at all as its flavour and texture were too good.

"Hmm." She just nodded her head and then went back to the menu to decide what she was gonna order with her chocolate pastry.

After that, the waitress arrived in front of them and looking at her badge on her chest, Oga could see her name and that was, 'Asaka Ayano.'
