Less than 5-year-old Kirito is standing behind Saito, waiting for Hiruzen to make his decision.

After thinking for a while, Hiruzen looked at Saito with a serious face and asked him, "It's not like I don't believe you or anything, Saito. Just so you know, he is too young for this kind of thing."

Saito gave a simple nod and added, "Yes, I know what you mean, Sarutobi, but I am confident in my student. He is ready, and we can promote him to Chunin rank."

"Fine, you are his teacher after all." Hiruzen said with a defeated tone, then looked at Kirito with a serious face and said, "Okay, then Kirito, let's go to the training ground of Anbu headquarters. There we will test if we can promote you or not…"

With that said, everyone left for the training ground for the Anbu members.

After arriving at the training ground, they found some shinobi training there who were not currently wearing any masks due to some special reasons.

(Note: They are all official Anbu, but during training time or in special training, they are allowed to take off their masks inside the Headquarters only.)

"Lord 3rd, Saito Sensei, can we help you guys?" Upon noticing them approaching, one of the Anbu said with surprise from their sudden appearance.

Saito didn't say anything, just gave a slight nod at them.

While looking at the shinobi in front of him, Hiruzen finally stopped his eyes at one from the side.

"Uchiha Sasaki, come forward…" Hiruzen said, pointing at a 14-year-old boy.

"Yes, Lord 3rd…" Sasaki said as he stepped in front of Hiruzen.

"Uchiha Sasaki, you have unlocked the second tomoe of your Sharingan, if I'm not mistaken, right?"

Hiruzen asked with a rather serious face.

"Yes, I unlocked my second tomoe of the Sharingan in my last mission." Sasaki replied with a nod.

"Good. You need to fight with this kid over here, and you can use all your power. Just make sure not to hurt him too much…" Hiruzen said, pointing at Kirito.

"But, Lord 3rd, he is just a kid…" Sasaki said, not feeling sure about it.

"It's an order…" Hiruzen said with a firm tone, stopping him.

"Yes, Lord 3rd." Sasaki said with a low tone.

"Kirito Uzumaki..." Hiruzen turned toward Kirito and called his name.

"Yes, Lord 3rd…" Kirito said, going forward.

"If you can defeat him, then you will be promoted to a Chunin and be allowed to join the Anbu. Do you understand me?" Hiruzen said, looking at Kirito.

"Yes, Lord 3rd…" Kirito said with a serious tone and went in front of Sasaki.

"Sorry, kid, but I won't be holding back. After all, Hokage-sama ordered me to..." Sasaki said as he looked at Kirito.

"Don't underestimate me just because of my age…" Kirito said, taking a battle stance.

"Now, begin…" Saito became the judge for the fight, so he said when he found both sides ready for the battle.

"Earth Style: Mud Wall." Without giving his opponent any chance to attack, Kirito used a mud wall to hide from Sasaki and went underground.

"Sharingan…" Looking at Kirito's jutsu, Sasaki knew the kid in front of him was not just any random 4-year-old. He was stronger than he appeared, so he decided to use his Sharingan to finish the fight quickly.

With the vision of the Sharingan, Sasaki easily found Kirito's location when he came out of the ground and attacked him with a jutsu, "Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu."

When the jutsu hit Kirito, he turned into wood and burned away. Sasaki cursed, "Damn, he used substitution, but where is he?"

"Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu." When Sasaki got confused, he saw Kirito attacking him with a fireball jutsu, with the help of his Sharingan.

Looking at the incoming fireball, Sasaki quickly made a couple of hand seals and said, "Earth Style: Mud Wall."

By hiding behind the mud wall, Sasaki saved himself from the fireball. He thought, 'Though the kid is so young, he is really powerful. I might as well get serious.' After thinking until then, he threw two kunai towards Kirito.

As the kunai approached Kirito, he used his own kunai to deflect them.

Taking this chance, Sasaki came behind Kirito with a wooden stick and tried to hit him.

When Kirito was done deflecting the kunai, he didn't find Sasaki in front of him and felt his presence from behind. He thought, 'I only have 5 steps before...'

With that thinking, he used Flash Steps to go behind Sasaki and tried to hit him.

When Sasaki lost sight of Kirito from his eyes for a moment, he got panicked but soon found Kirito with the help of his Sharingan and tried to hit him.

Kirito again used Flash Steps twice and finally managed to hit Sasaki with his wooden stick. Sasaki fainted on the spot from the extreme pain.

"Kirito Uzumaki wins the match…" with Saito's declaration, Kirito won the match.

"Congratulations, Kirito. From now on, you are a Chunin of the village and a member of the Anbu team. You can join the Anbu ranks from tomorrow." Hiruzen said with a smile and left.

"Okay, kid, let's go. I will take you to the main office and help you find your Anbu mask and dress." Saito said while leading Kirito to the main Anbu headquarters building.

The next day, Kirito arrived in front of the Anbu building with his new Anbu dress, a regular black Anbu dress with a demon mask covering his face.

When he entered the building, an Anbu wearing a tiger mask came in front of him and asked, "Are you the new kid who will be joining us from today?"

"Yes, I got permission from Lord 3rd yesterday." Kirito said with a nod.

"Good, kid. Follow behind me. I will lead you to your team." He said and took Kirito with him.

After going inside, Kirito saw three men standing together with Anbu, one wearing a dog mask, another a monkey mask, and the third a crow mask.

As the Anbu with the tiger mask left, the Anbu with the dog mask removed his mask and said with a smile, "Welcome to the team, kid. I am Kakashi H

atake, and I will be your team leader."

"Senpai, it's you…" Kirito said with a smile as he removed his mask.

"Do you know him, Kakashi-senpai?" The Anbu with the monkey mask removed his mask and asked with a smile.

"You know, kid, you look even younger than my younger brother..." The Anbu with the crow mask said while removing his mask.

"Let me introduce myself. My name is Shisui Uchiha." Shisui said with a smile, looking at Kirito while comparing him to Sasuke.

"And my name is Itachi Uchiha…" Itachi said with a smiling face, looking at Kirito while thinking, 'He might be even younger, but at such an age, he became an Anbu.'

"My name is Kirito Uzumaki, and I am 4 years old…" Kirito said with a smile.

"You know, Kirito, you are the youngest Anbu member in the history of the whole village, and you have broken mine and Itachi's record of becoming a Chunin." Kakashi said with a smile, looking at Kirito.

"Kakashi-san, Lord Hokage called your team immediately…" While they were talking, an Anbu came and called them.

"Looks like you are going on your first mission, kid…" with that said, everyone wore their respective masks and disappeared from that spot.
