Reincarnated As LOK Royalty (Hiatus/PermaDrop!)

A random girl burns alive and Reincarnates in Legend Of Korra as Princess to the Fire Nation and as a Phoenix. Watch as she becomes something different and tries to master fire while interreacting with the world as Royalty. ======== Pretty much the whole idea of this fic is mastering Fire to the best of the MC's capabilities. Mc will also travel/explore the World of Korra more than just shown in the series. (So more worldbuilding.) Once LOK is over this fic will turn into a multiverse travel fic, but that will be awhile from now. Also I have given it nonhuman tag because she’s a Phoenix but majorly a human until later

Royalty in more way than 1

The inky black darkness encompassed me for awhile until I began to feel like I was moving. Because there was nothing around me I couldn't tell how fast I was going but I assume it was quick.

Time passed and I counted in my head for about 5 minutes until I suddenly began to see color again. I felt myself slow down slightly as more and more color appeared. Greens, blues, reds, and oranges flashed past me. After some time all the colors that I could see began to merge into shapes.

Still moving too quickly left me being unable to make out any shapes until I slowed down even further allowing me to see a blue sky. 'Ooookay this is weird, is this the spirit world?' I asked myself as I was flying slow enough to make out my surroundings.

My surroundings were honestly quite... unique. I saw trees which were upside down, giant mountains, foggy forests, and more. Luckily it seemed that where I was heading was far away from the weirdness, and was instead heading towards a very tall mountain that went past the clouds.

The mountain itself was directly under the sun, if that was possible, and had no snow on top of it despite its height. I suddenly picked up speed as I finally viewed the mountain.

"Ahhhh! Why am I going fast again!?" I shouted as I began to accelerate even more towards the mountain. My speed kept increasing as I was beginning to get dangerously close to it.

'Oh no! I am going to hit it!' I screamed in my mind as I was heading face first into the mountain until suddenly I banked upwards at the last second. Luckily because I was still a soul I couldn't feel nauseous or else I probably would've vomited.

Sighing in relief I flew upwards uncontrollably towards the top of the mountain. The sun blinding me the whole time made it impossible to see anything for the trip to the top.

Closing my eyes to avoid the sun I began to think about what was happening until I suddenly felt everything stop. Opening my eyes I saw myself floating into a small cave on top of the mountain. Looking down I saw the very, very, long fall down. Quickly turning away I looked back into the cave to see something glowing.

Slowly I was forced into the cave by whatever force guided me here, deciding to go with the flow I let myself be pulled towards the glowing object. The object itself was difficult to make out, but from what I could see it looked like a fire.

Floating through the cave I passed by jagged black rocks and some pieces of glass? I looked at what I thought was glass and shrugged my non-existent shoulders as I was floated past it.

'Is it getting hotter?' I asked myself as I began to get hotter as I floated towards the back of the cave. Looking at the fire that was too far away to give this much heat I became confused.

Getting nervous because I was moving towards the source of the heat I began to struggle. Trying to float back I felt like I was wrapped in steel, because I was unable to struggle at all. 'If I die again in a fire I am suing!' I shouted in my head as I was picking up speed towards the flame.

As I got closer and closer to the strange fire I noticed more heat. Sweating bullets I looked around for a way out and instead saw crystals imbedded in the walls of the cave. What seemed to be rubies and some other orange colored gem began to litter the walls of the cave making for an extremely beautiful sight.

'OKAY! It's a little hot, can I go back now?' I asked to myself as I was dragged closer and closer to the flame that was floating above what I at first thought to be wood, but now that I'm closer I can see its a nest. 'Oh sht this is a phoenix nest or some other weird fire bird, isn't it?'.

The world or whatever force that dragged me to the nest seemed to take delight in my answer as I was dropped right in front of the flame. The heat seemed to die down to an acceptable level now that I was in the nest, and because of this I could get a better look at the flame without being afraid.

"This is honestly a really beautiful fire, it's... almost hypnotizing to watch it burn?" I said to nobody in particular as I moved towards the flame. Reaching out for it with imaginary hands I grasped it.

The red flames responded quickly and burned brighter and began to burn me. Flinching I tried to let go of the flame but understood that I couldn't, so unexpectedly I decided to try and overpower it. 'I wont! Die! Again! to fire!' I shouted in my head as I gripped the red burning flame tightly.

While putting my whole mind to controlling the flame I noticed that it began to change colors and no longer burned me. Noticing the fire turning to a hotter blue color, I shouted and I tried to let go of the fire.

Trying to drop the fire I quickly noticed that I didn't want to. Looking at the flame I noticed that it didn't burn anymore and was instead changing colors. 'What's happening? Why do I not want to drop it? It's almost calling me to hold it closer?' I began to get nervous.

Taking a moment to take a breather to regain myself I looked back to the flame and noticed that it was turning blue. The fire shone with excellency and what seemed to be pride as the center of the once red flame turned a burning white, while the outsides slowly turned an azure blue color.

'Its changing? Should I do it?... I should.' I had an inner monologue to myself as I cupped the flame in both of my hands and moved it towards my chest. The flame began to burn quicker as the change of color in the fire hastened until it was all different shades of blue.

Moving it directly into my imaginary chest I felt myself alight with new memories and emotions. Almost like a slideshow in my head I began to see images of fire. How fire always existed and burned deeply in the core of the planet until the planet grew life.

With life came fire, the memories then showed lightning flash down from mighty thunderstorms and hit trees causing them to erupt in flames. I watched as spirits of fire were born... including a past version of this flame that was merging with me. The flame itself has existed with some of the oldest spirits, and helped create balance on this planet by creating natural laws meant followed by all beings in existence.

The flame existed since the beginning of time on this planet, and represented life and change. The flame took on many different shapes and sizes, but the most prominent was a flaming bird. This flaming bird, would change after each cycle. The most recent form of the flame in the cycle was a red phoenix.

This cycle represents change and a new life, so after each cycle it would change a different color, shape, or size. The phoenix did this through rebirth, or burning out and being reborn from the ashes of the previous flame, and this time I am the new phoenix.

'So this is what the God of Earth meant by being lucky, I am the next phoenix.' I thought as I felt strangely comfortable with the fire that began to cover my whole soul.

This flame itself only gave me a few memories and I have a feeling I will learn more as time goes on, but what I did learn was very shocking. After every cycle, a new soul would be created from the ashes of the old and take on the personification of fire. But this time instead of a new soul being created, it used me instead.

'Must be because of the God of Earths influence or blessing. It probably saw that I was chosen by a Supreme God and thought it would be best for me to represent it... Maybe.' I nodded to myself.

Looking down at the blue flames that covered my whole soul, I began to think of the cycles it went through and scratched my non-existent head.

Each Cycle would actually last for an indefinite time until the soul of the fire chooses it was time to start anew. After choosing this it would burn its own soul and from it a new soul would be born. 'Yeah... lets not do that anytime soon.' I thought to myself until I suddenly felt a change.

Looking at my now flame covered soul I watched as it began to take on a new shape. Slowly the soul was modeled into the shape of a phoenix. [Image Here]

After the shape was solidified I felt my point of view shift into where its eyes were. Now instead of watching the transformation, I felt it. I felt my blue fire burn with excitement was feathers were weaved into my shape.

The center of my wings grew azure blue feathers that slowly turned into a icy blue color towards the feathers tips. Then long bright blue tail feathers grew in as well which began to move in the breeze.

A few minutes of this took place until I instinctually understood that the change was over. I was now a phoenix, the eternal and everchanging flame. I was no longer my old self, but something new. Calmly closing my eyes, I felt for my flames and drowned in the pleasant feeling of warmth in the center of my soul.

Willing the flames to act out however they wanted to, I began to watch as they happily danced around me in a pleasing blue color. But sadly I knew this could not last much longer as I know I had another transformation coming soon.

What transformation and how did I know this? I was not sure, but I wanted to do one thing before my time was up in the spirit world.

'My time is burning up quickly, so lets fly!' I happily thought to myself as I began to waddle to the entrance of the cave. Passing by the gems of the cave I saw they turned into the same blue color as my flame.

Staring at the gems for a second I shook my head and moved forward to the center of the cave. After a few more seconds of waddling I made it to the entrance and almost immediately sucked in a large breath of air and closed my eyes.

Suddenly opening my eyes I cawed as loud as I could to signify that I was here. My loud screeching caw spread through out the spirit world as almost everything went silent. Shaking myself out of my instinctual habit I spread my wings out as far as they could reach.

Feeling the wind touch my wings I grinned in my mind and thought 'That was weird, but now it is time to fly!' I ignored what I just did and jumped off the side of the caves edge diving directly down to the ground.

My wings quickly picked up the wind and sent me soaring forward. "Hahaha this is awesome! I always wanted to fly!" I shouted to the world as I began to burn even more brightly. Blue flames drifted off of my body as I flew across the spirit world.

The only thing I could think of was how beautiful it was. The wind gently kissed my face as I was happily flying between clouds. As I flew, I unknowingly left long blazing blue flames that slowly evaporated as I left their vicinity.

Being completely lost in the feeling of flying, I didn't notice that I was beginning to burn away. Suddenly feeling the urge to fly even quicker I closed my wings and dived down past the cloud coverage, allowing every spirit to see me and my glory.

My blazing flames left a sparkling trail as I sped up. Flapping my wings allowed me to move even faster as the world around me began to blur, until everything just vanished causing my vision to turn black briefly.

=========================

While in the darkness I was wondering what happened until I felt a change in myself. Instead of having wings and talons, I now had arms and legs. 'Ughhh what happened? Am I now a baby?' I questioned as I felt a terrible squeezing feeling.

While I was being squeezed in whatever dark, wet place I slowly began to hear voices. 'Oh I am being.. Born. OH Ew! Gross!' I shouted in my head as I heard the voices grow louder.

"Come on, push!" An old voice shouted over the rest as I felt myself be squeezed even harder.

Suddenly I felt cold at the top of my head and felt a hand grip be gently. Slowly I was pulled out as I no longer felt the squeezing.

"No! Come on stay with me Akari!" A desperate voice shouted as I was pulled out. "We need more healers!" the same voice shouted even louder as I heard a commotion.

Being pulled completely out of what I presumed my mother I opened my eyes to see the issue. Looking towards my mother I saw multiple fire sages trying to heal her to no avail.

She looked beautiful, even while dying. I could almost tell that she wouldn't survive, and it seemed the fire sages did as well as a solemn look marked their faces. Slowly they stopped trying to heal her and instead all began to stand up.

What I didn't notice before was a man in the corner next to my mom, who was crying while holding her hands.

One of the older fire sages who stood up bowed deeply to a man who was holding my mothers hand. "There is nothing we can do for her, we are sorry. This is simply her time."

After the old fire sage said that all of the rest bowed once to the man and once to my mom. "We will leave you all now to allow you to say your goodbyes."

I stared on in shock at what just happened, so shocked in fact that I couldn't even process what was happening. All of the fire sages left the room causing me to look around to see who was left.

There was what I presumed was an old man holding me, one older woman who stood next to us with golden glasses, one middle aged woman looking sadly at the scene slightly in front of us, and finally my father and mother.

My mother had long straight black hair, and had a pale complexion on her face. My father though had a very chiseled chin and short black hair that was groomed to be a combed over to one side.

I was unable to make out more of his looks because suddenly he leaned into my mother to hear something she said. He cried some more and then stood up and took me to my mom so she could hold me. She gently reached out to me and held me closely.

"Ah, my beautiful baby girl... She has such blazing... eyes... I am sorry for not... being able to stay... but I must leave. Before I do... I wanted to give you your name." Akari labored to speak as she had a loving look on her face.

She coughed lightly causing most people to flinch or frown in the room. After she coughed some more she smiled again and I watched as the fire in her eyes begin to burn out. "You... will be... Homura..." and with those words her eyes began to droop.

She gave one last look to my father and smiled until she closed her eyes for the last time. A sense of sadness overtook the room as I felt her hold on me slacken, leaving me in her lap. Crying slightly I gave a small prayer to her.

'I hope that you find happiness in your next life, thankyou for being my mother.' I teared up slightly as I began to cry. My wailing seemed to shock everyone out of their sadness as my father walked up to me and held me.

"Hello... Homura... Don't be sad..." My dad said in between sniffles. As I was being held I started to cry less and instead started to look at the people in the room to get a better look at them. Still crying slightly I looked around the room.

One of them was a lean, old man, with a giant ghastly scar on the left side of his face and a long white beard going past his chin. He had flowing white hair tied up into a bun on top of his head. I almost immediately knew who he was.

'Zuko? So I am... Royalty. That means my father is uhhh, Iroh?' I asked myself as I remembered why my father looked so similar.

Looking away from Zuko I looked at the two women left in the room. One was a old woman with short white hair whose name I could not remember for the life of me, and the other one being Fire Lord Izumi.

Each member of the royal family had on similar clothing that was a mix of black, red, and gold. Izumi herself had golden glasses and the Fire Lords hair pin on. She wore a flowing red outfit with golden highlights and a golden flame on her chest. Zuko and the older woman both wore similar clothing that was red with gold outlines.

Zuko took a few steps forward to get a closer look at me while patting his Grandsons shoulder. "Iroh, you can let it all out later, but for now you must be strong for Homura. Now let me see her." He spoke in a grandfatherly voice.

Iroh nodded and gently took me out of his arms and gave him to Zuko. Zuko looked at me for a moment as he reminisced about something. "She has beautiful eyes. They nearly remind me of my fathers with how golden they are." Zuko laughed to himself as he tickled me lightly causing me to chuckle.

"Oh father, don't hog my Grand Daughter from me!" Fire Lord Izumi reprimanded Zuko and quickly took me from his grasp. After she held me in her arms she looked down at me while smiling deeply. "You are right, her eyes are like pools of molten gold. Not only that but she has her mothers face."

Iroh in the corner smiled slightly and said "You are right. She looks beautiful just like Akari." After that the other old woman in the room walked up next to me and stared. "Kiyi, come take a look at Homura."

'Kiyi? Still doesn't ring a bell...' I thought to myself as I stared at the older women. She calmly stared at me and smiled while bopping my nose. "You are right, she will certainly be a looker when she's older."

With everyone saying their words they calmly looked at me until Zuko coughed, bringing everyone out of their stupor. "I believe it is best if we move Homura to her room while we have Akari's body moved. It is not good for a new life to be so close to death."

Everyone nodded with a somber look on their faces. Slowly I was carried out of the room by Izumi, but not before getting one last look at my mother. Getting sad again I teared up and started to cry as I was moved out of the room.

A/N: Hope you enjoyed chapter and the plot twist. Who would have ever expected her being a transformed into a Phoenix?

The phoenix thing wont really matter much early on until she starts going to the spirit world. Basically I have it planned so that she doesn't have much control over her phoenix abilities and has to train it later on in the spirit world.

Also for the pictures of MC, well some might know it but thats a surprise for later.

Anyways cya next chapter.
