12 Chapter 012- Phoneix Village

During this one year, Ling wan didn't dare to slack off at all. Even without Ling yun's supervision, he carried out all of the orders that he was given.

First and foremost, Ling wan got rid off all kind of opposition that was preventing him from carrying out his Ling yun's plan.

With Xuanyuan yuefeng's help, it took him only a month to get rid of those old fools who can't understand the reality.

Ling wan then abolished the previous system regarding how the disciples should be taught and maintained.

He enforced a new system that Ling yun asked him to. In this system, the disciples has to choose one of the 3 options given to them by the villa - military category, civil category or special category.

Of Course, no matter what category a disciple chooses, their main priority will be raising their cultivation. But they will be taught something extra that will make them more efficient and useful in the future.

If a disciple joins the military category, they will be trained to be an army, spy or bodyguard.

Every disciple will be taught for 10 years. After those 10 years, they will ranked from 0 to 5 according to their performance and cultivation speed during those years.

If anyone gets Rank 0, their only option is to be a servant of the villa. Only Rank 1 or above can get a official position. But the positions aren't permanent.

Ling yun plans to create a special team called 'Enforcers'. Only his trusted subordinates will be able to join this team.

Besides taking direct orders from Ling yun, their other job is to watch over the officials of any rank.

Every year a checking will take place for the officials. And depending on their performance, they could either be demoted or promoted by the 'Enforcers'.

That way, nobody will slack off and do their jobs properly.

After changing the teaching system of the heavenly sword villa, Ling wan moved to the next parts of the list given by Ling yun.

He created a special team whose goal is to search for any talented person in the remote places of the kingdom.

He also changed the disciple selection process according to the Ling yun's liking.

Moreover, he changed all those stupid rules that allows someone to kill or bully a junior in the sect without any consequences.

Slowly but surely, the heavenly sword villa started to change into a better one.

When he and Xia qingyue was on their way to the phoenix inheritance ground, a group of people stopped them. Looking at their clothes and mannerism, it can be conclude that they are bandits.

A man who seems to be their leader shouted, "Little boy, leave your spatial ring and the girl beside you if you want to..."

But before the bandit leader could finish his words, his head got cut off from his shoulders.

Ling yun doesn't want to waste his time listening to some trash's monologue. He looked at Xia qingyue and said, "Finish the rest off."

It didn't take long for her to kill all of the bandits. Ling yun didn't feel any remorse for these guys as he saw her killing them one by one.

Some might ask, as a follower of GOD, who used to do good deeds in his first life, how could he kill someone for some petty crimes, how could he manipulate or even kill a person for his own benefits?

You see, in his first life and even now he always believed that only the strong has the right to decide what is right and wrong.

At early part of his life, he didn't use to follow GOD's rules even though he was from a religious family. Instead he just followed the society and did whatever he liked or desired.

Ling yun's dream was to become a big businessman or politician in order to control his own destiny.

But that all changed when he read the holy book QURAN that was sent by GOD out of curiosity. He found many verses there that was nothing but a miracle.

The more he read and researched it, the more his world view changed. And slowly but surely, he became closer and closer to GOD.

After he found out that that life was nothing but a test, he did his best to live his life according to the Quran.

Ling yun followed GOD because not only he is the creator but also the most powerful being in existent who created all the heavens and earths.

At that life, GOD decided some things forbidden for him and ordered him to do good deeds as much as possible as a test.

Now that the test has ended and he managed to go to heaven as a reward, there is no such restrictions for him anymore. He can do whatever he wants.

That's why, Ling yun doesn't feel remorse when killing or manipulating someone in ATG world. Because the only reason he was a 'good guy' in his first life because GOD ordered him to.

Maybe, if he didn't find GOD, he would've become some dregs of the society in his first life. Who knows?

In a few hours, they reached the outskirts of the village where the barrier has been placed by the phoenix spirit.

Because they don't have phoenix bloodline in them, they have to convince someone from inside of the village to let them in.

So, they caused some commotions to let the villagers notice them. After a while, the village leader, Feng Baichuan came to them.

With some sweet talks and using their appearance as a child, they managed to convince him that they are not a threat.

After letting them in, Feng Baichuan asked, "Why kids in your age doing in such a dangerous place?"

"Thanks for your concern, senior. But we are strong enough to defend ourselves." Ling yun replied.

"Even then you should have brought some elders with you. Anyway, do you guys really want to take the phoenix trial? It's very dangerous, you know!" Feng Baichuan said in a worried tone.

Ling yun didn't bother to reply instead just showed him his power in order to skip the meaningless conversation.

And it worked like a charm. Feng Baichuan became more respectful towards them and stopped bothering them as well.

Few minutes later, they reached the entrance of the cave. Feng Baichuan dropped his blood on the door of the cave to open it.

When it opened, Feng Baichuan looked at them and said, "I can only accompany you this far. I hope you guys manage to get the inheritance unlike the others who died trying. Anyway, be careful."
