43 Chapter 40:Heavenly Gate(Omnscient's POV)

Fourteen big dragons encircled Karna. They lack a rider, however. Some dragons resemble a bigger version of Meraxers, Balerion, Vhagar, Styrax, and Vermithor. There was also a blind dragon. There was also another black dragon besides Balerion, but this dragon resembles more of a serpent. There was a purple dragon, a pink dragon, a blue dragon, a silver dragon, a crimson dragon, an olive dragon, and an orange dragon.

Soon after fourteen flames as bright as stars encircled him, the dragon's meat was turning into ashes, but Vorian avoided it with his waters, quickly savoring the taste. Later the water dragon licked his lips. He felt the need to sleep soon after, and without even noticing that his master Karna has suddenly disappeared, he laid down with his belie to the sky, started enjoying a good after-meal sleep, and snored with golden saliva spilling in the ground.

As the saliva dripped, the soil started to be blessed. Birds started to sing around the place. The soil started to emit a thick petrichor smell whatever unborn seed was hidden in the soil no matter how deep started to be born, whatever spore was there started to breed fungi. So a forest was born around Vorian.

Meanwhile, Karna was fighting for his life. He was transported to a different space, that was neither Gods' city nor the mortal world. The dimension was quite peculiar there were translucent golden vapors in the form of clouds spread all around. They seem like a vapor, but if one steps on them, they would feel sustained by a solid surface. On the ceiling, there was an enormous gate, that seem formed by several valyrian steel scales. At this time the gate was open, allowing the divine energy from Gods' city to spread around the dimension.

It was a dimension owned by Vermithor, the heavenly gate. In valyrian myths, it was said that this gate was the connection point between the mortal world and heaven, which was the world of gods.

When the city of gods appeared, several laws were established, one of which forbade gods from fighting in the mortal world, only avatars were allowed to enter, in other to not destroy the mortal world.

According to their cloudy premonition, Karna was the main reason for the decadence of the Valyrian Empire. No matter how many sins the valyrian committed and would commit, they were still dear to their gods, which do not care about getting their hands dirty to defend their people.

To make sure they kill Karna, the gods performed a blood sacrifice on their avatar, using it to open a connection between Karna's location and the heavenly gate. In the heavenly gate, they could go all out.

All Essaria's slaves and the mercenaries contracted by Valyria had been sacrificed for the last hope of the Empire, which was the use of fourteen dragon eggs for the incarnation of avatars of the there gods. It was a very surprising decision showing that the Valyrians were willing to sacrifice anything for their victory.

Some may ask: why is it surprising when they have already sacrificed New Norvos? New Norvos was a new colony whose wealth by far could not be compared to the now-gone Norvos. Norvos' wealth at its peak could not be compared to Volantis at its peak as well. Essaria was much wealthier and older than the now-gone Volantis. Its wealth was comparable to Aquos Dhaen, Draconys, Mhysa Faer, and Rhyos cities whose wealth was only lower than Valyria.

In front of him were no avatars anymore. Fourteen gods were trying to kill him. The smallest of them seem as tall as Mauna Kea from Earth, this counting the below-sea level part of the mountain. Meraxers was the goddess of travel, curiosity, and spring. Beneath the she-dragon, beautiful, but deadly, illusory flowers blossom.

Balerion was the god of darkness, death, and the underworld's ruler. Ilussory dark fire undead and ghosts encircled Balerion. There was a dreadful darkness as well and a sense of emptiness in his presence.

Vhagar was the goddess of magic and blood. Her mere presence filled the air with not only magic but a bloody smell. It makes one sensitive to their blood, as it would unstick from their veins and arteries.

Styrax was the goddess of madness and love. Her mere presence could induce one into madness and make it lust over her. Karna's love for Lhorulu was unwavering and this emotional control was fiercely fought by his mind and willpower.

Vermithor, was the heavenly gatekeeper and master of the heavenly bells, the god of justice and punishment. The dragon carried three bells, each on one of its three arms. They were Heavenly Noom, Celestial Narrah, and Sovereign Nyel.

Heavenly Noom was a bell that could induce sleep or wake any man, it's said that it could reawaken even the dead. Celestial Narrah was a bell that could induce instantaneous devotion and connect one directly to heaven. Vermithor could use it to temporarily improve his divine power, but he could only use it when the previous effect wear off. Sovereign Nyel was a bell that induces obedience. Vermithor could use it to mind control his enemy.

If Noom and Nyel are played together it could bless one with fertility or make one sterile depending on Vermithor's will. If Noom and Narrah were played together, Vermithor could use the effect to strengthen his allies. He had already used the effect. If the three or only Nyel and Naraah were played together nothing happens.

Vermithor played Heavenly Noom to try to induce sleep in their enemy, but it did not work. Karna pit his tongue with a force that if not for Kavach and Kundal would have cut the tongue off.

Boash, the blind god, was the god of wisdom and slaves, the breaker of chains, although this title has other meanings for valyrians. He was supposed to free men from the enslavement of the flesh in the journey to wisdom. This aspect is portrayed by Boash faith in Lorath, by the priests that are self-castrated, preach the extreme abnegation of the self, believing that only by freeing themselves of vanity could men hope to become one with the godhood and put aside their names and spoke of themselves as "a man" or "a woman", rather than say "I" or "me".

Around him a certain aura of wisdom and mystery spread, in a way that would crumple a weak mortal mind, making them doubt if they are because they think, in front of him all truth became doubts reality seem fake, and the fake becomes real. It was not a philosophical enlightenment that Boash can make one feel, but a philosophical madness. At the same time, his presence makes one to fill bounded by invisible chains. Boash used this to try to control Karna that could, however, hold on to his mind by sheer willpower.

The black 'goat' was the god of darkness, death, and mischief. His aura makes one feels an eternal sense of having their senses deceived. He seemed to be covered by a dreadful aura of death than make him seem like a living-death-zone. His darkness seems to reck more evil and malice than Balerion one. It also seems like bloody darkness.

The pink she-dragon was the goddess of beauty and youth, around her an aura of beauty and vitality spread, it gave that staying near her was enough to give one eternal life. If there were seeds in the place, plants would surely grow around her. She also tried to take a control of Karna true to her beauty divinity.

The purple dragon was the god of wealth and trade. Illusory gold, silver, and salt seem to encircle him. His presence seems to claim ownership of the space around him. But the space seems to resist this claim. As its owner is Vermithor.

The blue she-dragon was the goddess of the seas and storms. An illusory sea, filled with fish, and storms encircled her.

The silver dragon was the god of mines and smiths. His teeth seem to be made of valyrian steel. An illusory group of swords, spears, and arrows seem to dance with him, as well as ores of iron, bronze, silver, and gold.

The orange dragon was the god of agriculture and music. He wielded an instrument called the eternal harp, which seems to be completely made of gold. He played a piece of music that not only induces emotions but seems to try to take control of Karna's mind.

The crimson she-dragon was the goddess of war and glory. Valyrian describes her as a beautiful, but dangerous bloodstorm. She indeed was, with illusory bloodied swords and spears swinging around, dyeing the space red, in a bunch of macabre blood rivers.

The olive she-dragon was the goddess of sheepherders, thieves, and craftsmen, except smiths, and the messenger of the gods. Around her, there was a sensation that any raw material may become a craft. One also feels like they will be robbed, of their coins, clothes, and even their internal organs. Illusory giant silver sheep peacefully encircled her. Looking at her made one feel like the divine becomes clearer. She was a divine contradiction.

"All these divine domains and how they seem to bend reality around their user with their raw power is surprising and a sign to see." Karna said to himself.

As Vermithor, Styrax, Boash, and, the pink she-dragon tried to weaken Karna's mind. Karna tried to resist with only his willpower, and the attacks were unsuccessful, but instead of manipulating his mind, they started to pressure and overwork his mind, in such a stressful way, that it was already damaging his soul. The damage only not manifested physically with his brain starting to be deformed because of Kavach and Kundal's protection.

Karna felt that in this situation it would be even hard to move, much less fight. So he closed his eyes and started to meditate, still standing up. He felt the prana around him, the chakras where the prana passes through, his body and soul. In the prana, he felt one with the universe and was able to gradually push the gods from out of his mind. That pressure helped him to adapt and overcome. One shackle that was limiting his growth was gone.

It's important to note that while meditating the doom of Valyria fell on his body, as the fourteen flames that the valyrian gods spilled from their mouths, formed a death fourteen star around his body. It was curbed because of Kundal and Kavach, however, giving him a second-degree burn.

The pain was excruciating. If only for the heat, Karna would only have a first-degree burn, but the divinities imputed in the flames greatly increased the damage. Karna being Karna, got abnormally high willpower, so he could still hold up to his conscience even with all this pain. His injuries started to, visibly to the naked eye, heal.

Karna had no idea why, however. It was because without even knowing Lhorulu blessed him indirectly with immortality. That's because Karna was in direct contact and drank a lot of her water of joy. A mortal would have only had their lifespan increase. His incomplete demigod divinity, the sun, which already filled him with vitality improved the effect so, he became immortal with a high healing factor.

After becoming one with the universe, or at least close to it, Karna started to move. He lacked a sufficient strong weapon, as all his arsenal was burned by the gods' flames with his body. He was not naked, however. It seems that somehow the gods sort of commanded the flames not to burn his clothes because they do not want to take the risk of seeing him naked.

Although the female gods, thought Karna was hot, they had too much hatred for this threat to their people's safety to have any pervert thoughts.

Karna had to use his fist to fight. So he attacked the black 'goat', which was closer to him, first. His movements had become faster, so he reached the god very fast, and stepped on its skull.

The god was not dead yet, as gods are close to true immortality. He had only passed out from the pain. The god was perfect for Karna's plans, as he had a very flexible body. The gods could not be taken by surprise anymore. So the real fight began.

The blue she-dragon tried to use several lightings to kill Karna, that with Kavacha and Kundal protection, only got numbed for a while, and gradually got used by it. She also at the same time, created a sea to try to tear Karna apart with the waves, or at least drown him. Karna had a hard time swimming, while at the same time defending himself from the swords that the silver dragon and the crimson she-dragon threw at him.

The silver dragon attacks were strong but much easier to skip as they came from an amateur, but the crimson ones were deadly. He could not dodge all attacks so he felt the pain of the swords violently colliding with Kavach. At the same time, several ghosts and undead appear above him, the ghosts tried unsuccessfully to damage his soul, while the undead tried to eat his flesh and broke their teeth. These were Balerion attacks.

At the same time, Karna had to control his blood because Vhagar was forcefully trying to control the blood in his blood streams to give him a hemorrhage. Kavach and Kundal partially blocked her divinity control over his blood, and with Karna controlling his prana, he could mostly block her control, some capillaries of his exploded, however.

At the same time, Boash tried to use chains to contain Karna. These things danced in the air like flying snakes. Meanwhile, a storm of violent coins from the purple dragon also attacked Karna. The silver and bronze coins were used to try to cause damage, while the pure gold coins were bending around Karna's body trying to chain it.

The orange dragon made a plant that seemed like rice growing in the sea, and make this plant tried to bind Karna and to make it enter Karna's nose, in order to make it hard for him to breathe. Meraxers created enormous carnivorous water lilies, that drow themselves at Karna. Styrax used her madness divinity to make the bloodlust of these creatures increase, which made their attack stronger.

Vermithor seeing that mind attacks were useless shrieked his bells and started throwing them like bullets at Karna. The pink she-dragon tried to drain all the vitality out of Karna, failing miserly. The olive she-dragon tried to steal concepts from Karna like vitality, strength, divinity so on. But as he was not completely human her conceptual steal failed, as it happens with a god.

The silver dragon eventually gave up attacking him with swords and started to send metal ores 'meteor' attacks, one of which hit the top of Karna's head being broken into two. The olive she-dragon eventually gave up on 'stealing' Karna and created enormous mirror shards to attack Karna, especially in the eyes.

To a distracted eye, it may seem that Karna was only the gods' punching bag. However, if one pays more attention, one would see that the black goat was gradually being lifted by Karna with both his arms, spread around it. So with the help of gravity, the black goat fell faster than it was lifted, whipping the pink she-dragon and broking several of her bones.

Karna thought that the attack with his new whip was too slow so he got himself a new whip by ripping off the black goat's spine, it was a very long whip, but much lighter and faster to move. So a long battle of endurance started between the fourteen gods and Karna. Karna wiped. Sometimes only one god, three, four, or even seven one after the other, and all gods try to use their divinities to tear Karna apart.

No matter how much the gods tried to destroy Karna's body, it keep on regenerating, from the little damage that their elemental attacks caused, while the physical impact was eliminated by Kavach.

Gradually some gods lost their eyes, others have their muscles and bones broken and this process continued. Vermithor tried to swallow Karna, while he seem distracted, but it ended up with Karna taking out two of its teeth, using them as spears, and tearing the god apart from the inside. The crimson she-dragon turned into a humanoid form, and have a sword fight with Karna, different from the other god that was worried her blood was boiling with such an exciting fight.

With her strongest sword, forged by the silver dragon himself and blessed by herself, she attacked Karna that blocked her sword with his right arm, and with his left hand took her neck, and broke it.

As Karna does not seem to have a weakness against any specific element the gods eventually gave up using them and focused on using plain fire as it was the strongest attack they could muster because of them being connected to valyria fourteen volcanoes.

But Karna gradually adapted to those flames. He was improving his fighting abilities to the limit during this fight, making him think that maybe he should thank his enemies.

A month passed in this long fight, and in the end, there were pieces of the valyrian gods everywhere, Karna could not hold onto his consciousness for much longer, so he concentrated on his prana and his connection with Vorian.

Vorian who have woken up only a little before, quickly answered his master's call, by entering the space distortion that was connecting the real world to the heavenly gate. He growled greeting Karna, who soon after seeing him passed out. He swallows all the fourteen valyrian gods' flesh, and instead of carrying his master out, laid down around his master.
