25 Chapter 25: He’s a Wizard…

*Third Person POV*

In a dark room in a secret hideout located somewhere in Japan, a person sat in his chair while looking at a monitor.

This person was Dr. Kyudai Garaki, also known by his villain name, Daruma Ujiko.

He was a doctor, scientist, and the faithful servant of Japan's most powerful villain, All For One.

Decades ago, Kyudai had theorized the "Quirk Singularity", according to which that as the generations pass, Quirks will become so powerful that they will be uncontrollable.

However, his theory was dismissed by society, who viewed the concept as ridiculous and didn't want to listen to a far-fetched doomsday theory when society was still struggling with assimilating quirks into society. As a result, he was ostracized and disappeared from the public eye.

All For One believed in Kyudai's theory due to the nature of his own quirk and thus lent Kyudai his aid.

Since then, Kyudai became All For One's follower and even offered his lifespan longevity quirk, Life Force, to his master who had a quirk that allowed him to steal, use, and redistribute other people's quirks.

Over the years, Kyudai found ways to artificially duplicate quirks through his medical research. With his knowledge and capabilities, he helped All For One who sought to take control over Japan.

For decades, All For One ruled from the shadows as the Symbol of Fear.

There was only one thing that could oppose All For One's rule and that was a powerful quirk called One For All, something that All For One unintentionally yet ironically created.

One For All was a transferable quirk that can be passed on, getting stronger after each generation.

It allows the user to stockpile an enormous amount of raw power, allowing them to significantly enhance all of their physical abilities to a superhuman level. This results in unbelievable levels of strength, speed, agility, and durability.

All For One's goal was to one day take One For All for himself so that nothing could stop him from taking full control of Japan. Of course, Kyudai assisted him with this.

Unfortunately, One For All had an inherent willpower and refused to submit to All For One, preventing him from stealing the quirk, and so it was passed on.

At some point, All For One took in a successor, in hopes that he could be used to one day finally steal One For All by overcoming the willpower with hatred.

The current wielder of One For All was the No. 1 ranked pro hero, All Might, the eighth generation user and someone viewed as the Symbol of Peace.

All Might considers All For One his arch-nemesis due to the death of his predecessor, the seventh generation One For All user, Nana Shimura, at All For One's hands.

Over one year ago, All For One and All Might had a battle.

Japan's No. 1 Hero against Japan's Most Powerful Villain. The Symbol of Peace vs the Symbol of Fear.

After a long and arduous fight, All For One lost, but not without inflicting a serious lasting injury to All Might.

Fortunately, Kyudai was able to secretly retrieve and save his master who was on the brink of death after the battle.

In order to focus on healing his master, as well as manage their project to create an artificial human that can hold multiple quirks and defeat All Might, Kyudai had to abandon some of his ongoing researches at the time.

The monitor that he was currently staring at showed a live feed from one of his abandoned research laboratories. An alarm that hadn't triggered for a while had detected something and there, Kyudai found a person claiming to be his child...

This was impossible considering that throughout his long life thanks to his duplicated Life Force quirk, Kyudai was basically married to his research.

He had no time for useless frivolities such as child-making as he was too busy researching quirks.

In short, Kyudai was a 120+ year-old virgin.

He had reached wizard status long ago and even advanced into the Legendary Archwizard class. How else would he have gained the capability to duplicate quirks?

It was only after hearing the explanation of his "child" through the monitor that Kyudai came to a realization.

His creations are indeed his children. They could be considered as the result of his life's work and dedication to All For One.

His collection of jars filled with quirks that he duplicated are his babies. He needs to raise them into something that can be of use and serve All For One, just like him, their father.

But before all that, he needed to confirm whether his supposed child is legit and what sort of capabilities it has that can be of use to his master.

He used a device to remotely turn on the power at the location where his "child" was at.

"Father, do-"

A flash of light occurred on the monitor before abruptly disappearing.

[Signal Lost]

"Nani?"

Kyudai stared at the monitor confused. By turning on the power, he was expecting to be able to see a clearer picture of his old lab, but the signal just cut-off instead.

For the next few minutes, he tried other methods to find out what had happened but all of them failed.

It was like the entire area over there had disconnected or all the security cameras were destroyed for some reason.

With no other choice, he called over an assistant for help.

"Greetings, Doctor. What can I do for you?" A person in a suit said. His body seemed to be made of a purple fog except for his eyes which were glowing yellow.

"Kurogiri, I need you to warp over to this location. Try to find someone called… Never mind. Just try to find a person there." Kyudai requested, realizing that his "child" never gave him a name.

Kurogiri is an artificial human, a Nomu, created by Kyudai from a deceased individual.

His quirk, Warp Gate, is an artificial quirk created from a combination of other quirks. It allows him to create portals to specific coordinates using his purple fog.

The usefulness and rarity of his quirk made Kurogiri a vital asset to All For One and Dr. Kyudai Garaki.

After receiving Kyudai's request, Kurogiri immediately tried to create a portal to the said location but was unable to. Something obstructed his way.

He tried shifting the portal slightly and was successful.

After Kurogiri walked through his portal, he found himself in a dark place with dust and rubble scattered all over the place. Everywhere he looked, there was a scene of destruction and a burnt smell lingered in the air.

Kyudai had told him that this place was abandoned and was not in a good state, but he did not expect to find himself in a place that looked like it had been hit with a missile.

Kurogiri quickly did a sweep of the place but was unable to find anyone.

The only thing of note that he found was some charred corpses. He soon returned to Kyudai and explained his findings.

After thanking Kurogiri for his help, Kyudai dismissed him and thought about what could have happened.

Using his years of experience and big brain, he came to a plausible conclusion.

"Did I cause a gas explosion by turning on the power?"

Over a year of neglect and the rampaging of his experimental subject could have led to a gas leak at his old lab. So when he turned on the power, he might have unintentionally caused a spark and ignited the gas, causing an explosion.

The more he thought about it, the more it made sense. Kyudai started to lament at the loss of a potential test subject.

The person he spoke to had shown high intelligence levels, something that was rare to find in his current generation of Nomus. Only Kurogiri had shown similar traits.

If he had been able to study both of them at the same time, he could have determined a common factor and used it on future experiments.

"… Well, no matter. If a simple gas explosion was enough to bring down my child, then it did not deserve to be my child in the first place." Kyudai said to console himself.

He could only push the thought of the death of his only "child" aside and forget about him.

After a moment of silence to mourn his lost "child", Kyudai was about to get back to work when Kurogiri returned.

"Doctor. Master wishes to inform you that he would like an update on Number 6's status."

"Understood. I will report to him soon. Oh and Kurogiri… It's alright for you to call me 'Father'." Kyudai said.

After being called that way by his "child" earlier, he could no longer keep the idea out of his mind. Years of celibacy had unknowingly taken a toll on Kyudai.

"… I'm sorry?" Kurogiri confusedly asked, thinking he misheard.

"I am your creator after all, and you are essentially my child. With your abilities, you have earned the right to call me 'Father'." Kyudai said with a self-righteous look.

"…" Kurogiri chose to remain silent.

"Come on. Don't be shy." Kyudai encouraged.

"… F-Father?"

Hearing it being said to him in person made Kyudai shudder. He felt enlightenment, like he had just found a new purpose in life.

"Yes, my child. I am your father. Hahaha. Come now. Let us return to master's side." Kyudai said before walking off full of confidence.

"… If the Doctor is my Father, does that mean that master is my Mother?"

Kurogiri's question that came out of nowhere caused Kyudai to stop in place.

He suddenly pictured himself in a salaryman business suit and All For One in a one-piece dress. Both of them were holding the hands of a small, chibi Kurogiri seemingly like a happy family.

Picturing that image caused Kyudai's new found motivation to shatter and he almost coughed out a mouthful of blood.

'No! That doesn't make sense. If anything, it would be master wearing the suit since he is always wearing one.'

The picture in Kyudai's mind changed. This time it was All For One in his usual suit and him in the dress. A short, chubby, bald, old man with a mustache wearing a dress…

*Cough splatter*

"Ehem… Let's pretend that this conversation never happened. Just refer to me like how you used to…" Kyudai said before continuing his walk with his shoulders more slumped than before.

"…" Kurogiri just stood in place and stared at his back wondering what in the world just happened.

Chapter End.

A/N:

Ugh. Info dump chapter. I tried to summarize as much as I can. I had to research so much for this, but it still seems like a mess to me. I lost motivation to write so many times... Thank Dio it's finally over. If I got anything wrong, please let me know. As usual, I tried to put a little comedy into info dump chapters. Sorry if I butchered the image of some characters~

Next chapter, we will learn what happened to MC.
