3 Chapter 3 Evacuation

"Levi, take these." I said as I threw Hannes' gas canister and blades towards Levi. At this point the man was soaked in blood, but it was worth it. He had managed to kill at least 10 titans which easily saved 10s of lives but the amount of titans were too much even for Humanity's Strongest Soldier.

"Mhm, I was running low." He replied before switching out his gear. Titans were flooding through the walls as we spoke but luckily a majority of the civilians had managed to escape, and likewise it was time for us to retreat.

"Now Levi, time to use the strongest Secret Technique: NIGERUNDAYO!" I screamed as I turned my horse around, it was time to flee because even with Star Platinum I had no plans to take on a horde of titans with just Levi and myself.

"What has gotten into you today, although I agree with retreating you're talking like a weirdo." Levi replied in annoyance, as he followed me closely from behind.

Along the way Levi killed any lone titans we came across before continuing to the wall. Luckily most of the civilians seemed to have escaped, that or they had died, we'd see after the damage report came in.

Soon we reached the entrance to Wall Maria, where the Garrison Soldiers were nervously manning the canons waiting for titans to approach, luckily for them Levi had cleared up most of them on the way here.

"I am Captain Erwin of the Survey Corps, and this is Captain Levi, we happened to be here when the walls were breached." I quickly explained to them as we approached. Hearing my explanation the person who seemed like their Captain quickly nodded as we dismounted our horses.

"H-Hello, well for now we don't really need more troops seeing as we're just shooting them down with canons, but if you could stay here to provide support that'd be great." The Garrison Captain said nervously, the man was clearly on edge just in case a titan were to approach.

"Mhm, don't worry, Levi here will be more than enough as long as there aren't too many, on the other hand I need your Soldiers to alert those within the walls to retreat back to Wall Rose." I hurriedly commanded as I handed him my horse.

"Wha-Wall Rose? But only Shiganshina has been breached so far." He replied clearly confused and scared what my words implied. Knowing this wasn't going to be easy I put on the most serious expression I could muster before saying "Listen, just in case we better alert those within the walls to retreat, otherwise if Wall Maria is really breached can you handle the loss of life that would occur because you didn't want to alert those within the walls you've sworn to protect?"

The Captain gulped down hard hearing my words, before turning his head around and pointing at a soldier, he then sent the man on his way after I gave him directions to were the Survey Corps were currently stationed.

Everything wasn't all bunnies and roses though, as soon another one approached, and luckily for us it was a regular titan which Levi swiftly killed inciting exclamations of awe within the Garrison Soldiers.

"A-Are all Survey Corps members like that?!" One of them remarked, his mouth agape, Levi's display was enough to even make these soldiers forget about the very real titan threat.

The minutes ticked by like this, titans would appear and Levi would take care of them, and very rarely there'd be a civilian who had miraculously made it out alive, albeit very traumatised.

"THUD!"

"THUD!"

Suddenly heavy footsteps resounded, not just any regular footsteps, no not even a regular titan's either, and it wasn't even an abnormal's rather it was a Titan like no other.

It had short scruffy blonde hair, with armour like golden plating around its body, and two distinct almost robot like yellow eyes. This titan stood at 15 meters tall and was approaching the walls menacingly.

Even Levi was confused as he glanced at that titan, which from this day onwards would be feared throughout the walls as the Armoured Titan.

"ALL OF YOU, RETREAT! LEVI AND I WILL COVER YOU ALL!" I screamed as loud as I could, raising up my fist indicating for Levi to retreat as well. The Garrison the other hand were extremely, confused but simultaneously they also recognised the abnormalities of the Armoured Titan so they listened to me and quickly retreated.

"Captain Erwin, if we make it out of this, lemme take you and Captain Levi out for a drink!" The Garrison Captain said as they retreated behind the walls. "Mhm, I'll take you up on that offer, now close the gates." I swiftly commanded as the Armored Titan began its charge. I never even caught the man's name.

I stood alone as the Armoured Titan charged towards the gates of Wall Maria, this act in and of itself would kill 10,000 people, and the resulting famine after that would kill 250,000 more, knowing this I had to do anything I could to mitigate this fact.

'If the Garrison Soldier quickly made it to the Survey corps, then this could possibly reduce the casualties from 10,000 to 2,000.' I thought to myself as the Armoured Titan was only 50 meters away from me now.

Levi watched in horror as the Titan closed in on me, but there was nothing he could do. The hulking mass was quickly 5 meters in front of me, one step away from crushing me and ending my life, but that was not how it was going to end.

"....Oh? You're approaching me?" I asked the titan jokingly as its foot rose above me and was about to crush me. 'NOW!' I screamed within my mind as I punched towards it.

"ORA!"

Immediately Star Platinum moved, copying my movements as it punched above where even my fist could reach, punching a hole through the foot of the Armoured Titan.

"BOOM!"

The Armoured Titan lost its balance falling to the side as its foot began to steam. "What in the world?" Levi asked in shock as he gazed at my figure, I was completely unscathed.
