14 The bath

(A/N. Suprise, suprise, I'm not dead nor I dropped this fanfic but I probably should explain myself a little.

First of I finally found work but because of that I don't have as much time on writing as I had before and on weekend I wanted to just lay down and do nothing so sorry for me being lazy.

Second, I'm not proud of this novel. To be honest I'm not even sure why you guys like it to begin with. I myself would rate this fanfic 2.5/5 max but I got mostly positive responses which baffles me. If not for you I would dropped it immediately but don't worry as long as someone wants to read it the next chapter will come eventually.

But seriously 320k views and 1.7k in library with only 13 chapters on my first fanfic is surprising to say at least. I just want to thank all of you for all the comments, stones and reviews.

Ps. I'm looking for the editor for my next novel. The editor must know a lot about Highschool DxD so you can guess where the next fanfic will take place and don't worry I won't drop this one, I promise)

(Shirou's pov)

The next day we went to Luvia's house because water in our home stopped working. I of course knew the course of this problem but as a good older brother I went rat out my little sister.

Luvia was exited by the thought of being closer to me and my family but Rin was embarrassed by me knowing that she is working there as a maid.

The girls decided to bath together leaving me alone but not really because instantly someone appeared behind me startling me. Even with my abilities I couldn't react to him. Is this the power of a butler.

August: "Shirou-sama, please allow to introduce myself. I am this mansion's butler, August is my name."

He said as he bowed slightly to me.

August: "Hmm..."

Shirou: "W-what is it?"

August grabs my shoulder and drags me to another bath.

In bath August washed my back.

August: "Shirou-sama your muscles are quite defined, are you doing some kind of sport?"

Shirou: "I train archery at school."

August: "These kind of muscles can't be gained by only archery. You would also need to train another kind of martial arts."

Shirou: "??!"

August: "Don't be suprised Shirou-sama, since I was young I was exposed to different kinds of martial arts because of my cousin, Hayato Furunji."

Why does this name sounds familiar? Is it character from other anime that I forgot? But if I have his name at the back of my mind he should be at least somewhat memorable.

No use overthinking it.

Shirou: "You are right, beside archery I trained swordsmanship."

August: "You're still hiding something but I'll let it slide for now, let's talk about more important."

August had a serious expression while saying that. It must be really important. I should listen really carefully to him.

August: "Shirou-sama, what do you think about Ojou-sama?"

I tripped and almost drowned myself because of his words. Fortunately I quickly recover.

Shirou: "I think she is wonderful girl and anyone who'll marry her will be a lucky man."

August smiles hearing that.

August: "Then..."

Shirou: "But that man can't be me. I'm in love with someone at the moment."

He looks me in the eyes and can see that he won't be able to change my mind. He then suddenly shows smile again.

August: "Ojou-sama won't give up just because of that."

I also smile at his remark.

Shirou: "That's true, she is that kind of person."

After our talk we went out of the bathroom to see that the girls finished before us. What confused was that among them was Chloe.

If I remember correctly Chloe should run of outside because of her quarrel with Illya but that obviously didn't happen but then again, what did.

(Illya's pov)

*20 minutes earlier *

Rin and Luvia questioned me about card Install but I really don't know anything. It just happened when I needed it the most, wait it also happened in Magical Girl Warriors.

(I don't know the name of the show that Illya likes to watch so I made up one myself)

Does it mean that I'm more of magical girl than I initially thought?

While thinking about it something hit my head. It was Rin that punched me.

Illya: "Ouch..."

Rin: "Did you listen to anything I just said?"

Illya: "...No."

Rin seemed to punch me one more time but she immediately slumped her arms and gave out a sigh.

Rin: "What I want to know is your desire. Me and Luvia want to collects cards but what drives your will."

I honestly didn't think about it but I need to put some thoughts to it. I can see that Rin and Luvia are very serious right now.

Illya: "I don't have anything special that I wish for. All I wanted is normal life..."

Before I could finish my sentence I hear wall cracking. The noise was created by Chlie who slammed wall with a towel. It was shocking seeing a towel be able to destroy real concrete.

Chloe: "Do you understand the meaning of your words Illya. If you go back to your normal life it means no Rin, no Luvia, no Miyu and especially no me. By saying that you deny my own existence. It looks like we are mutual enemies."

Before Chloe was able to materialize anything I stopped her.

Illya: "STOP!!! Tou didn't let me finish. What I meant to say that is that I wanted is normal life but recently it changed.

After I had my uncontrollable outburst of power in the fight against assassin I wanted to have nothing to do with magic, servants and all that dangerous things but Onii-chan told me a story about certain hero which helped me a lot but what made me get up from the hole that I was in was what he said at the end, 'with great power, comes great responsibilitie' if I have the power to help I should help, if can turn something bad to good, I should do it."

I look Chloe straight into the eyes which makes her flinch a little seeing how serious I am.

Illya: "Chloe, you are my responsibility and as big sister I will take it."

Chloe, Miya, Rin and Luvia: "Big sister?"

Illya: "Yes, Chloe called me that before so that means I'm her big sister."

I said proudly showing of my non existing chest which makes me cry a little bit inside but it's alright, I'm still growing.

Chloe: "It was sarcasm."

Illya: "Doesn't matter. From today onwards call me Onee-chan."

I shrug her off.

(Shirou's pov)

*present time*

It looks like some changes occurred, I just hope that nothing bad will happen because of that but nevermind that it's time to return home.

And just like that another ended but nothing could prepare me for the events that happen on the next one.
