Chapter 17 vote in the end!

*It's currently 11 in the night and for some reason im awake so I'm making a chapter pog, so if the writing quality is like a cultivation manhua I blame eye n-brain*

Courtney down to her last Pokemon, sends it out.

"Golbat bat!"

Pokemon: Golbat (Light Yellow)

Brendan seeing Golbat already knows he's going to win, 'She must of used her stronger Pokemon first to try to earn a quick victory, unluckily for her I'm her opponent.' Brendan thought looking at the poor Golbat not strong enough to learn wing attack or air cutter has to resort to poison fang and absorb against a Combusken.

Brendan ordering his Combusken to use spam quick flame charge until making the Golbat faint. Courtney trying to salvage this fight, still desperately shouts dodge, but to no avail as Combusken is to fast because of his built-up speed (Speed boost from hidden ability).

Courtney is watching her Golbat being bullied, and after a few hits Golbat gives in and faints. The Referee of their battlefield, seeing this says.

"Winner, Brendan from Littleroot town!"

Brendan walking back to the seats, watches a certain person battle with interest. This person was Anabel, the person likely to be his next opponent. Anabel is an interesting character to Brendan, being the Brain Frontier to a detective with Mr. Looker working for International Police after a while.

Brendan, day-dreaming of how a mature Anabelle looks snaps out of his gaze.

"Winner Anabel."

The crowd hearing this goes wild (Mostly the men).

Brendan taking a 30 minute located time for a break, takes his time to check out the brackets to see who's made it past. He was currently looking for May to have a chat with just before Semi's take place wanting to inform her about Wallaces Pokemon. (May might know what type he specialises in, but not what Pokemon he has because in this tournament Wallace has won every match with one Pokemon which surprised everyone coming into the Quarter-finals.

Brendan entering the café, spotted May. Seeing May, Brendan headed to her table and sat down.

"Hey May, you're doing pretty well in the tournament so far you ready to face Wallace?"

May, seeing her friend, started to chat with Brendan about her battles and Brendan was talking about his. This conversation between the two was pleasant and the two just enjoyed each others company and to have a little banter with some trash talk.

Brendan telling May to watch out for Wallace's Lombre as he beat every trainer in all his matches with it. May hears this also tell Brendan about Anabel's Kadabra which is decently strong, which won her all her matches as well.

Wallace is currently 18. Before trying to become a trainer, he was a coordinator before this, so he's already bonded with his Pokemon for two years, making them inseparable This gives Wallace a huge boost in a Pokemon battle as his Pokemon have full trust in him and strive to be the best and have prior training in their moves (Like how some coordinators Pokemon practise certain moves a lot of times to use to impress the judges).

May and Brendan noticing the time, saying their good luck to each other, starts heading to the arena for their separate battles. Brendan full of confidence, walks up to his side of the battle field. The opposite side of him can be seen as a stunning woman with lilac-coloured hair and purple eyes. Anabel known as the Salon Maiden.

Referee seeing both contestants leering at each other starts.

"Brendan versus Anabel in the Rookie Tournament Semi-finals, Begin!"

*This chapter is a bit short. I'm sorry! If I kept writing, I feel like my brain would malfunction lmao. I will make it up to you guys tomorrow with longer chapters. After school of course :)*
