Reincarnated as an Extra

In life, countless things might happen to someone at some point in their lives. Some people may call it fate, destiny, opportunity, or a turning point but for me, it wasn’t one of those. Fate? Nah, everything about my life was already trash to begin so to hell with fate right? Destiny? Who’s name was that? If destiny was real then how come nothing changed? Opportunity? What the hell was that? If there was an opportunity presented in front of me then I’ve grabbed it a long time ago. Turning point? To hell with turning points, everything about me had always been in twists and turns like I’m always riding a roller coaster of life. So, what’s the point of these things for me?

Chapter 18

"Fire spell… I need tremendous firepower", hahahahaha… that damned snake will soon be grilled!!

"System store", I called out then all of a sudden holographic images were in front of me.

Huh? Didn't it usually change into a white hallway-like whenever I access the store?

How come it didn't change?

'Ding!'

[Welcome, User]

Then, out of all the holographic images I point at the magic and spells icon.

[Magic and Spells]

[This contains all the Magic and Spells that the User could efficiently use.]

[Category]

[Defensive Magic and Spells]

[Attack Magic and Spells]

[Destruction Magic and Spells]

"It had three categories?", hmmm… what should I choose? Since I need much stronger firepower, then I should just go with the third category.

I pointed [Destruction Magic and Spells], then the holographic image spanned out.

[Destruction Magic and Spells]

-------------

"Wow! Would you look at that… there were too many of them", there are too many spells and magic here that were suited for wide range attacks but most of them produce destruction and death upon and after use.

As of now, my mana stat was at 130, so that means that I can only use spells that are 130 or below. How unfortunate, Inferno was already a great skill to use against that damned snake since it can create a fire that can disintegrate its target without a limit to what rank they belong to.

The basilisk is an A-ranked monster therefore, Inferno would be better but the problem was my mana stat… then, the only option I had for now was…

Then, I pointed my finger to Incinerate.

'Ding!'

[Will you buy the skill "Incinerate" for 30,000 gold plus a service charge of 10,000 gold?]

[Yes/No]

Of course… I choose yes. No matter how much tax this damned system adds to their products, I will always buy them because I am in a pinch since people would do anything just to get what they wanted when they're cornered with no way out at all.

[You've bought "Incinerate" for 40,000 gold.]

[Thank you for your purchase, User.]

'Tsk! Thank you my ass!!!', I said in my thoughts while gritting my teeth in anger.

[Incinerate Lv.1 acquired]

After acquiring the skill, I was about to look for some other things that I could use but before I could even move from where I am, I heard that damned snake's hiss.

'Sssssshhhh…'

"Shit!!!! That damn… that damned snake's here!!!", damn it, how did I not notice that damned snake?!!!

'Ssssshhhh…'

'Sssshhhhh…'

Tsk! How should I deal with this? Should I attack in the front?

Or, should I do a guerilla attack and hit that snake at the back?

"No… no, that shouldn't be the right way", then what should I do?

But before I could make up my mind, the giant basilisk was already heading toward me at an incredible speed. Then, in an instant, its giant head was already 2 meters away from me.

Seeing the basilisk slithering its way to me, I immediately ran away while looking for a place to anchor myself to create an opening for an attack. After a few minutes of running around, I finally found a big boulder, almost the same size as the giant basilisk's head.

"I think that's enough for me to hide for a while.", I immediately headed towards there and ducked. I calmed my breathing so that my heart could also calm down.

"Hoooo…", I sighed. Then, I took a peek behind the boulder so that I could see the movement of the basilisk.

'He's coming…', I said in my thoughts.

As if feeling that his prey vanished, the basilisk used its eyes to look for a heat signature. He looked around until he found a boulder in the corner. In the basilisk's vision, it could see a faint amount of heat signature behind the boulder.

Seeing that, the snake's eyes widen and its head was slowly approaching the boulder as if it was afraid that it might alert the person hiding behind it. As it slowly slithers its humongous body in a soundless manner, the person hiding behind the boulder moved up while leaving his sneakers behind to left a trace of heat to fool the basilisk.

"Shit!!! This is really crazy and I'm getting crazy too… but the craziest back-stabbing bitch I've ever known in my two lives was this goddamn freaking fucking dumb system!!!!", how could this damned system give me an impossible mission to complete?! It already reduce my stats and level to a gutter but it still wanted to stab me in the back by doing an impossible feat?!

'Shit! I really hate my life… but I don't have much time now.', then I look at the system clock.

[02:35:21]

"Two hours and a half… that's the only remaining time I've got left so I need to do this right if I don't want another penalty for a failed quest.", as I steeled my heart with too much resolve, I continue to watch the basilisk slither its way towards my direction.

'Okay, he's almost here…', patiently… yes, I need to be patient. This is a matter of timing…

"Haaaa… calm down. Instead, just think of having a grilled snake for dinner…", hmm… grilled snake should be good… yes, yes… that's it, I want a grilled snake for dinner.

Then, in a matter of minutes, the basilisk finally made it to the boulder. As it was nearing me, I suddenly jump down and ride its head. I took out my sword and stabbed its right eye.

'Screeeeeeeeeeeeeeechhhhhh!!!', argh!! This damned snake's cry is too much for my little ears.

"Dude, just die already!!!!", I shouted while wiggling my sword inside its right eye. I didn't even care about how I was faring while riding behind it since this was a matter of survival. It didn't even matter that I'm almost getting deaf by its loud screaming.

When I felt that its right eye was out of commission, I pulled out my sword and stabbed its other eye. Then, another bout of sickening screams filled the entire space.

"Ahhhhhhh!!!", as if competing with its deafening scream, I too shouted as well to boost my morale even though I don't know if I have it.

"Just die already you freaking fucking son-of-a-bitch!!!", but god never even once heed my heartfelt request instead, that damned snake suddenly got too aggressive and wiggled too much to the point that I lose my grip on the sword and got thrown away.

"Arghhh!!!", damn… I got hit by the boulder that I was hiding a few minutes ago but thankfully, I manage to sever both of its eyes.

"Haaa… huff… huff… that's better…", I said while looking at the basilisk's condition as if it was a masterpiece made by a skillful artisan.
