1 Oh'lord

I remember being shot at during a school shooting and I accepted my fate after which darkness took me.

But that wasn't the end of it

I opened my eyes in a large grassy field that stretched as far as I could see seemingly infinite.

I looked around and there were a dozen or more individuals standing and observing the surroundings just like me.

We all wore a white cloth that extended till our kneecaps which reflected the light from the sun surrounding us in a mystical glow. None of us spoke to each other but it was clear that we were not on earth.

Then a 5 meter tall figure emerged from the ground beneath having 4 pair of bronze wings sprouting from its back, having goat legs and a female torso with antlers sprouting from her head and having an adrogynous face.

"Children you have been granted a second chance to continue living in another world much different then the one you all previously lived on" It spoke

This confirmed that we were all dead.

People all around me already knew this and some even burst into tears. After a good 15 minutes the figure spoke again after we all calmed down.

"Now you all be reincarnated into the mystical world of Yuram which is 100 times bigger then your earth and contains creature which you can only assume are from a real fantasy."

This was like a real isekai fantasy maybe we'll become heroes and fight against some tyrannical demon lord. But some people weren't as excited as I was and had visible concern on their faces.

"But don't be scared good people you'll be taken care of by the people of that world who'll teach you there ways and educate you until your self reliable"

Typical isekai I wonder what kind of hero i'll become maybe i'll end up with my own harem.       :3

The figure spoke again

"In Yuram all the creatures posses a system and you'll be also given a system. Some of you will remain human but others might become members of some different specie and there is also a chance that some of you may turn into a monstrous creature for eg: goblins, dragons, giants and many more."

After a brief pause it spoke again

"If anyone of you have any questions please ask as you won't get any chance later on"

"Will we become heroes with overpowered skills and fight some sort of evil demon lord?" A beautiful girl with ginger hair raised her had a asked like she was questioning a teacher in school

The figure sighed like it heard this question a million times over

"No you won't become some heroes with overpowered skills or sort nor will you fight some evil entity called a demon lord."

"But don't reincarnators get broken godlike abilities and are treated like kings?" A boy maybe 16 year old with blonde hair spoke up.

"This is not a game child and if you wish to seek god like powers then you have to earn them and as for being treated like kings no you'll be given basic education of that world as reincarnators are quite common there and you'll be treated like uneducated children when you'll be reborn" the figure replied to the boy.

And there goes my dream of finally having a meaningful life but the figure spoke of having a chance of becoming dragon?

Just imagine how cool it'll be if I became a giant or dragon as i'll make kingdoms tremble before my might.

"Can you elaborate on becoming a monster mam-sir?" I called out to the figure but it just completely ignored my question like I wasn't even there.

"Ugh....hello" I called out again but was ignored again, I suspected that something was off and tried talking to peers but they also completely ignored my presence.

Then I tried to touch one's shoulder but my hand went right through it something was clearly not right as maybe souls can touch other souls right?

"Now children this is where you and I depart, I wish you all farewell sweet children" the figure spoke and waved its hand. The clothes of my peer started  shining and their face had expressions of incredible bliss but as for me mine turned pitch black and I felt a gut wrenching pain in my abdomen lile my entire body was being torn apart from the inside.

My skin turned sickly pale, my eyes felt like there were on fire then I burst into flames and darkness took me again.

It felt like I was dead again, I couldn't feel or see anything as it seemed like I lost all of my senses.

Then my eyes opened again but at the same time it felt I didn't possessed any eyes. I tried to find my face but my hands were not there nor where my legs present. I panicked and crazily looked around myself.

I was currently in a dark forest with tall trees and a few small rabbits and squirrels were hopping around and I could hear various sounds from maybe wolves or boars and some were so strange that I didn't had the slightest ideas to even think which creature was producing them.

Then a screen like interface came into my mind

[Welcome host]

[You have been successfully reincarnated and I'm your system ask any question you like]

System?

Its just like I imagined maybe even better

System where am I and what am I?

I mentally nudged the system to which it responded instantly

[Host is currently in a forest]

Wow like I never knew I was in a forest

[Host is currently a spirit with no definate shape, looks like a ball of black mist and is incorporeal meaning he won't be visible unless magic is used to sense him]

I know i'm died but why am I dead after being reincarnated

[Host's soul contained too much spiritual energy for a normal human soul which caused him to take a form of a spirit as his soul couldn't adapt to take a form of some physical creature]

So basically my sould was a bit different then the other reincarnators and kinda glitched my reincarnation( atleast that's what I think)

As my spirit couldn't adapt to become some creature it turned me into a ghost you can say maybe more then a ghost but still a ghost nonetheless.

I tried to move but I didn't possessed any legs. I soon found out I was floating above the ground maybe a meter or so.

I tried to float forward but it didn't work so then I imagined myself going forward and it worked.

After experimenting a bit I discovered that I can't rise more then 5 meters above the surface, but I still moved quite fast atleast it felt like I was fast. I could also move through trees and some rocks that were available in the forest

I felt light as ever but something got me curious, if i'm a ghost or you can say spirit doesn't that means I am not visible to the naked eye. I found a rabbit nibbling on some grass and flew right infront of it.

No reaction, I then tried passing through its body and its body vibrated for a second. It started looking around trying to scan for danger but soon went back to eating grass. It seems I have a slight affect on the creatures I touch or pass through but nothing fatal or harmful.

I remember most rpg systems have a status panel I wonder I have a something similar.

Status I mentally spoke as I don't have a mouth and cant speak soon after a large panel made itself visible before me

Wow...its really like an rpg but actually real. My stats were beyond terrible but also justified because a spirit can't actually be harmed by regular means so having 0 durability is ok and same goes for strength as I can't actually hit someone. My mana appread to be very low ans I don't know if a spirit could cast spells and my willpower was average.

I don't know why didn't I possessed any hp bar maybe because this is real life and if someone slices someone's head off it won't be taken as some damage like 400-700 it'll be an instant kill so maybe that's why the systems of this world don't show ho bar.

But what were these skills that I possessed?

(Life drain: is used to drain the vital energy or spiritual energy of a living  creature by possessing it or by alternate means.

Possession: Allows the host to posses creatures but it won't be possible on creatures having higher willpower or having some magical charm to resist it)

I already know what will incorporeal do but what is that lifeforce absorbed in my stats, system can you elaborate on it too

(Life force absorbed from a creature during possession and can be used to make host more powerful, additional information will only be unlocked after absorbing the life force of a creature)

That does now I need to find a suitable target to test out my abilities. I started to wander the forest and soon found a horned rabbit twice the size of a regular rabbit and having a unicorn like horn on his forehead.
