Exploring and discovering

At least ten hours have passed since I begun my exploration of this place.

After all this time, not even once have I encountered another living being. Even cockroaches or spiders couldn't be found.

Originally, I had prepared myself to flee if the first living being I saw was hostile by passing through the walls and hopefully they won't be able to follow. I don't think I can do much else if they manage to spot me.

But After the first three hours of encountering no one, I eventually gave up on being cautious and ended up wondering around however I wanted while also inspecting the features of the surroundings.

The walls and floor of this place are primarily made from smooth stone bricks. Line patterns have been carved along all the floors, giving it a nice medieval look. The ceilings of this place, which were also made from stone, are also arced instead of being flat and majority of the furniture were made from wood.

All of the hallways and stairs also have an old but silky red carpet decorated and edged with golden patterns running along the middle of the pathways.

Red flags which had crossed golden swords with wings as its symbol and elaborate stone statues of knights can be seen every few metres along the hallways.

Kitchens, bed chambers, storerooms, lavatories and guard rooms. The fact that all of these things exist in here means that this place was probably some sort of palace or castle. A really expensive and luxurious one too.

The bedroom that I had woken up in probably belonged to some servant who worked here since that room was very small in size and barely had any furniture.

Also, after travelling all this time, I have yet to come by a single window in this place. Judging by the lingering stale smell in the air of this place, I think its safe to assume that I'm actually underground.

During this trip, I've also been able to discover more about the nature of my new body and abilities.

For example, when I try to stay inside a solid object for more than a few seconds, some sort of force appears and begins to push me out of the object. The longer I stay in the object, the stronger this push becomes.

This also means that, unless its hollow, I can't be hiding inside the stone walls of this place since I'll get pushed out before long.

I've also discovered another thing about my body and 「Telekinesis」.

The light being illuminated from my body ,which strangely didn't brighten up things at first, can actually light up my surroundings as long as I concentrate and have the desire to change its brightness. As for my「Telekinesis」, I found out that it can influence and carry up to three things at the same time as long as they're not too heavy.

Though it might not be too amazing right now, maybe in the future I'll be able to lift mountains! Hehe, can't wait.

As I'm thinking about the possible potentials of my abilities, the sound of a wooden drawer slamming onto the stone floor and breaking echos throughout the bedroom I am currently located in as I continue to swing a wooden chair around and smash it into the wall using my「Telekinesis」.

Right now I am currently breaking things.

Why am I breaking things you ask? Simple. Cus I'm frickin bored.

For the last two hours, I've been going into every room I encounter and breaking everything inside before leaving for the next room to make a mess in.

No need to sleep, eat, drink, or excrete. I practically have nothing to worry about and nothing to do which inevitably drowns me in boredom.

I've long gotten bored of exploring this place and am desperately trying to find new things to do.

*CRACK!!*

The last piece of furniture in the room that was intact smashes into multiple pieces as I look around at the mess in the room with triumph.

Man! Who would have thought that breaking things would be so satisfying?

Is this why I always see videos of people smashing their keyboards after going on a fifty lose streak on their favourite game?

After enjoying the feeling of satisfaction and achievement, I turn around to leave the room as I pass through the timeworn wooden door before looking around and continuing down the hallway.

Where exactly am I you ask? I'd actually like to know too.

To put it simply. I'm lost.

After the first few hours of exploring this castle, I ended up losing my way.

I tried going back the way I came but , no matter how much I try to back track, I can't seem to find anything that looked familiar.

Damn it. Why does this place have to be so big?

Why did I think exploring this place was a good idea? I should have huddled up in that dusty little bedroom and stayed there for eternity.

Depressing thoughts of my situation continue to run through my mind as I continue down the hall.

Soon, after taking a left turn, I arrive at a small but wide set of stairs which lead to a grand looking door with two knight statues standing on both sides of it.

The stairs that lead up to the door are covered in red carpet with stair treads made from gold and silver.

The door itself seems to have golden line patterns running down the wood as well as an expensive looking golden handle. Judging by the fact that there isn't any signs of rust on the door, the metal parts are probably made from real gold.

Is this the solar of the castle?

The solar of a castle is a private residence used only by the lord of the castle and his family. It's also meant to be the most luxurious part of the castle since its the owner's living area.

Hehehe, I knew I would run into it sooner or later.

The reason that I know a decent bit about castles is because, back when I was still human, Bryan had bugged me into playing RPG games with him. Who would have thought that I would be able to put those experiences to use!

The feeling of excitement begins to swell up in my chest as I float up towards the door and begin the pass through it. Soon I'm greeted by the sight of a magnificent bed room.

Even though a lot of it has been worn down over time, you could tell that all the furniture in this room was once extremely expensive.

Furniture made from expensive wood and gold, red carpet with golden patterns, large paintings, vases made from coloured glass, and other very expensive looking items.

As I continue to look around, from the corner of my eye, I spot what is without a doubt...A BOOKSHELF!

The bookshelf was made mostly from wood and looked like what people would refer to as a vintage bookshelf back where I lived. It was about two and a half metres tall in height and three metres in width and was filled to the brim with books.

Yes! Maybe I can learn something about my situation!

I knew the solar of this castle would have something nice!

Without hesitation, I hover up towards the bookshelf with excitement before using 「Telekinesis」to pull out a few books.

All the books that I had pulled out were all covered in dust and took a bit of shaking to get it off.

Finally, with excitement, I slowly open the first book in front of me, carefully trying not to damage it since It was very old and brittle.

What...What is this?

I can't read it. The text in the book was written in some language that I had never seen before.

I continue to flip through the pages in disbelief, hoping to find some form of writing that I can recognise.

No no no... DON'T DO THIS TO ME!! I JUST FOUND SOME HOPE!!

Throwing the book away, I quickly pick up three more books and flip through them simultaneously using 「Telekinesis」, only to be greeted by text written in the same language.

Taking more and more from the shelf, I continue to open up every single book I can find and look at its contents before finally slumping down and turning into a ball of illuminated depression.

No way....

Damn it. Why did this have to happen. Books are useless if you cant read them...

Just when I thought I had finally found a lead too!!

I spent the next few minutes calming myself down while staring at the floor and counting to a thousand sheep in my head before finally pulling my head up and looking around.

Well, now that my light of hope has disappeared, the only thing left to do now...IS TO BREAK EVERYTHING IN THIS ROOM!!!

The desire to vent my frustration rises in my chest as I float up towards a nearby table before flipping it with all my might, causing the vase that was sitting in the middle of it to fall off and smash into multiple pieces.

ARRGGGHHHHH!!!!

Though I don't have a mouth to scream with anymore, my mental shouting somewhat helps with the stress and frustration.

Next, I pick up the closest chair to me before charging around the room and swinging it around in circles like a mad man, smashing everything unfortunate enough to be in the way. Vases, glass cabinet, paintings, unlit lamps. You name it, I break it.

Soon a mess much worse than any other I had created forms in the room. I throw the third chair that I had used in this room so far, as a demolition hammer, towards the ceiling which causes it to bounce back down and smash into multiple pieces.

Now all the furniture in the room has been utterly destroyed by me and laid in the middle of the room in pieces...except for one.

Turning around to face my final victim, I throw a death glare at the bookshelf that I had taken the books from before. I don't think I'll be able to clear this last bit of frustration from my chest without destroying this thing.

You...your time has come you damn bookshelf.

Finally, using my telekinesis, I pull the bookshelf forward and push it down as it accelerates downwards before making a loud and satisfying smashing sound as it comes into contact with the ground.

Ahhh, that felt great...hm?

The process of pulling the bookshelf down from the wall had revealed an extremely sturdy-looking metal door behind where the bookshelf was originally positioned.

This is...some sort of vault door?

It looks very different from the ones I know though.

The metal door had strange writing on it in a glowing blue colour, a different language from what was written in the books, and was written in the format of multiple circles inside of each other. The door had a metallic shiny grey colour and didn't show any sign of rust which was strange.

This door should have been left alone for a long time just like everything else so there shouldn't be someone coming here to maintain it. If it was made from steel like normal vault doors then it should have been rusting by now. Did they make it from Aluminium? No...why would they make it from aluminium if steel fits the job much better. The door doesn't seem to have any sort of handle either, it's just flat.

Also, I've noticed that my sixth sense had picked up some strange tingly feeling coming from the door.

This tingly feeling seems to be coming from the entire wall around the door as well.

...I wonder what's on the other side?

Thinking about the possible answers to my own question, I move up towards the vault door to pass through it.

WHAT!?

To my surprise, I'm met with resistance which pushes against me as I attempt to pass through.

This push...its similar to the feeling to when I stay inside an object for too long!

Grrr, I won't give up! There's definitely something important behind this door and I'm gonna find out what it is!

My determination pushes me as I continue to force my way through the metal door, steadily making progress.

What the hell! This is so uncomfortable, it's like being super fat and trying to squeeze through a small hole in a wall!

COME ONNN!! SO CLOSE!!!

*POP* I'm through!

After squeezing through the metal door with much difficulty, the feeling of delight and victory rises as I'm greeted by the sight of a dark staircase which leads downwards to who knows where.

Suddenly, the lamps along the stairway light up as if it had detected my presence.

I jump a little from the sudden change of lighting but quickly brush it off since it resembled something I was familiar with.

This is...Automatic lights?

Curious, I begin to move down the stairs towards the doorway at the very bottom and a new scenery is introduced to me as I pass through it.

What I see astonishes me and would cause my jaw to drop if I had one.

I'm at a complete loss of words.

An enormous room about the size of a stadium with the ceiling being at least 50 metres high can be seen as I look around to admire the surroundings in shock.

What the weird vault door in the solar was protecting...WAS MOUNTAINS OF TREASURES!

Have some idea about my story? Comment it and let me know.
