Talking Rat? Or a talking fox?

Bells of the University of the Sciences, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, rang to announce the end of today's academic session.

Andrew, an eighteen years old University freshman, Lived a plain boring life, reading all types of otaku novels.

Enrolled in the university of science, while working at a grocery store as a part-time worker.

As soon as the bell rang, Andrew shot out of the classroom as if his pants were on fire, in moments, he was out of the campus altogether.

While rushing towards his rented apartment to watch the latest sequel of his long-awaited anime after taking his university classes, he noticed a…black rat?

With lustrous black fur and a small body, there it was on the road. He thought it was a weird street rat with very shiny fur so he wanted to keep it as a pet.

Suddenly, loud and shrill noises started playing inside his head, giving him a mild headache, but since it happened abruptly, he instinctively held his head in his hands, in the middle of the road too.

At the same time, he saw a blinding flash of light coming towards him out of the corner of his vision, he quickly grabbed the rat and threw it while enduring the headache that kept increasing.

'Even if it's the last good thing I did before dying, I hope that rat survived...' It was the last thing Andrew thought, then he felt numbing pain and it all went black…

Andrew opened his eyes, immediately coming under the assault of pain in his head as if it was waiting for him to wake up.

'This is an unfamiliar ceiling, am I in a hospital?'

'I guess that's my younger sister Sophie and my mother Adriana.'

Andrew said while placating Sophie by patting her head.

Then suddenly, Andrew started feeling extremely drowsy and fell asleep…

After hearing the sound of me falling to the floor, Zoe was by my side before I even noticed it and lifted me up to pull me onto the bed while checking for any injuries, which was a bit surprising since she looked frail but was able to easily lift me up.

"Master, what were you doing, you shouldn't have gotten out of bed, you are severely ill. you should have called me if you needed anything."

"Now please lay down on the bed without doing anything till I go call the doctor."
