Chapter 26: sparring,moral corruption and mission part 3/4

"Alright rookies,we are going to soshy village to hunt boars!" Magna said to Noelle,asta and Arata,with two of the three complaining.

"How did we get such a lame mission?!" Asta asks with Noelle nodding in agreement,at which Yami explained,"I was playing card with magna and the soshy village chief and he cleaned us out,but he said he will ask a favor from us,and so here it is." After that he lit up a cigarette.

"But isn't this your proble-"asta began before Yami interrupted him with a dark aura," do it or you die!!"

Arata just shrugged,"honestly captain I'm not complaining." Yami hearing this laughed,"you know what Arata I'm really liking your attitude…reminds me of my brother." At which Yami had a sentimental face appear.

Arata who heard this just replied," Yami feel free to tell me your story,and I'll listen,but for now let's get ready for this mission."

"Wait but how will we get there?!" Asta says at which magna speaks up,"can't you use a broom?!","nope! I can't fly!!",as I hear the conversation I spoke up.

"Well considering asta can't fly,how about he flies with magna on his broom while Noelle rides with me?"

Noelle hearing this nodded in the agreement," well let's do that." Asta also agreed with his usual smile,"got it!"

Magna seeing Arata having good leadership skills gave a small smile'he's going to be a great leader one day.' He thought before speaking.

"Alright then! Let's go to soshy village!!"

-1 hour later-

They were flying over the forsaken realm border between itself and the common realm,Arata and Noelle on his raven summon and asta and magna on crazy cyclone.

As they neared soshy village Arata remembered a certain plot,' this is where we get hints about the eye of the midnight sun,I should probably warn magna and the others' arata thought before speaking up.

"Magna!" Arata yelled out to magna who hear him,"what's up Arata?" Arata now having everyone's attention began to speak.

" something is wrong,there seems to be a magically made fog covering the village,there might be trouble ahead!!"

Magna hearing this sees what Arata meant and gritted his teeth," you're right Arata ,let's go down and see what's going on." Followed by a muttering nobody heard except for Arata," you better be okay old man."

Arata knew who magna was talking about when he was saying old man,the chief of soshy village was the one who encouraged magna to become who he is today.

As they landed everyone saw it,a deep fog that was too thick to see clearly,at which Arata spoke up," okay everyone,asta and I will use anti magic to cut through the fog,magna and Noelle you keep your eyes peeled for any hostile forces." At which Arata summoned lionheart,which exuded the same aura as asta's blade,"wait a minute,when can you use anti-magic?!!" Asta who Arata knew was confused considering he is the only known user explained,"well I can use any magic as long as I can comprehend the element remember?" Arata asked at which asta nodded remembering he did say that,before Arata continued," so I managed to comprehend how your anti-magic worked and now I can use it." Asta now understanding summoned his blade,and with that they slashed away at the fog.

It took them ten minutes to get near the center of the village and what they saw shocked them completely.

Authors question: so I was watching black clover and I saw the witch queen,and considering she has blood magic I thought about her being Arata's grandmother as a twist,so should I do this? It will add more depth to Arata's story and make it interesting.
