19 chapter 16: grimoire ceremony and an outing with the fiery lioness

Arata was asleep when he heard a knock at the door,"Mmm…five more minutes.",the now fifteen Arata says to the person behind the door.

*boom*

The door shatters and debris flies away in different directions followed by a fiery lions paw grabbing the youth's head.

Now fully awake,Arata turns his head and sees his teacher smiling at him,"sorry brat but bows not the time to sleep!", Merleona says while handing him a small cake and a box," happy birthday brat! I heard you helped Noelle control her mana,great job."

"…oh hey master,didn't know you would be back today."," of course I would be back,this will be your grimoire ceremony,I wouldn't miss it for anything.", the lioness says while smiling.

Arata now understanding what today is asks Merleona to let him bathe and change ,to which she threw the youth into the bath with scary accuracy.

-20 minutes later-

Arata walks into the dining area and meets with the families of vermillion and Silva,Noelle and mimosa walk up to Arata.

"Happy birthday Arata!!", mimosa says while handing Arata a flower pot with a bush blossoming flowers,and just as fast as she handed it and walked back with a blush,Arata turns his attention to Noelle and nebra

"Happy birthday Arata,I wasn't sure what you might like so I got you some gun holsters for your jackal and cassul." Noelle says before handing me the holsters,nebra gave Arata yul for himself,(" I wasn't sure what you wanted so I thought money would be sensible"-nebra)

As soon as gifts were exchanged he went to take a seat," morning Arata,as the others have said,happy birthday." Fuegoleon says to Arata while Merleona was taking her seat.

"Morning mister Fuegoleon,mister Silva,so today is the day for the ceremony,so where will we go?",Arata asked while food was being presented by the maids," we will be going to the grimoire tower in the capital near the downtown square,the wizard king took time to observe your ceremony,he was…beyond excited.", Nozelle says while we all were eating,Merleona soon broke the silence.

" that reminds me brat,I'm planning on taking you out back to the cabin so I can see how you have grown magic wise.",Arata who knew better than to say no nodded in agreement.

After they all ate everyone present started towards the grimoire tower,and upon reaching the tower the tower master and the wizard king walked up to the royal families and Arata .

" master vermillion,master Silva. A pleasure as always,so is Noelle and mimosa coming for their grimoires.", the master asked," yes but we are also here for Arata's ceremony.",to which Arata reached out for a handshake to the grimoire master.

" well let's begin. I am the grimoire tower master and welcome to the 500th grimoire ceremony! And without further ado,let the ceremony… COMMENCE!!"

As he finished speaking a bunch of grimoire's started floating all around Arata and the other youths,some big and some small and all matters of thickness.

"Cool I got lightning magic!"

"I got crystal magic!"

(Insert I got a rock meme here)

Noelle and mimosa whom both got their grimoires were looking at Arata who still haven't gotten his grimoire.

"Wait does this mean Arata doesn't have a grimoire?!" Mimosa said in shock with Noelle looking at Arata with worry.

Suddenly there was two bright flashes of night

And everyone shielded their eyes,well all except for Arata who was wearing glasses.

As the lights dimmed down,everyone turned to look and saw an unprecedented scene, Arata had two grimoires float before him,both with four leaves,both completely white with crimson clovers on them surrounded by a pentagram and a circle closing them both with writings in an unknown language.

"NO WAY!!THAT PEASANT OF A COMMONER HAS TWO GRIMOIRES?!", some fat noble child screeched while another noble spoke with shock evident," not only that but they are both four leaf clovers,what luck does this peasant have?"

Suddenly the grimoires took a stunning transformation as they were taking another form,they shrunk turning to leather,until they formed a pair of gloves that promptly put themselves onto Arata's hands.

"I shall use my new powers to become the next wizard king!!", Arata announced to which cheers were heard.

" ahem…and that concludes the ceremony,my the odd ever be in your favor!"

-2 hours later-

" we'll brat let's go,we're gonna test out your new abilities!" Merleona said as he was grabbed by a fiery lions paw.

"Well everyone I'm planning on borrowing Arata for the rest of the day and may come back tomorrow.", she said before running before they said anything.

After both people were out of sight Noelle turned to Nozelle," brother I wish to speak with you about something."
