1 Reincarnating

The 16-year-old boy, named Jack, had never believed in life after death or the existence of reincarnation. But as he took his last breath in the middle of a robbery gone wrong, he found himself standing before a beautiful, glowing figure with long flowing hair and wise eyes that seemed to hold all the wisdom of the universe.

"Who are you?" Jack asked, unable to believe what he was seeing.

"I am the goddess of reincarnation, Jack. And I've come to tell you that your death is a mistake. You were not meant to die in that robbery."

Jack couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"What do you mean, a mistake?" he asked, struggling to understand what was happening to him.

"You were supposed to live a long and fulfilling life, Jack. You were meant to go on many adventures, make new friends, learn new things, and discover your true purpose in life. But your untimely death has robbed you of these opportunities, and that's where I come in. I can offer you a chance to start anew. All you have to tell me where you want to go, or who you want to be, and I'll take you there."

Jack couldn't believe his luck. He had always wanted to be a very powerful person, and now this goddess was giving him the opportunity to be one.

Jack had always been a huge fan of the anime 'Overlord'. He spent countless hours watching each episode, reading up on the story and lore of the anime, and even cosplaying his favorite character, Ainz Ooal Gown. He was fascinated by the concept of being transported to a fantasy world and becoming a powerful warrior, ruler, or mage.

Without hesitation, Jack declared his desire to be reincarnated as Ainz Ooal Gown, "I want to become Ainz Ooal Gown! To be exact the time when he got transported to another world, and the NPCs became living beings!" fully expecting his wish to be denied. However, to his surprise, the goddess nodded thoughtfully and said, "Very well then, your wish shall be granted."

Before he knew it, Jack was surrounded by a bright light, and he felt himself being pulled through a vortex of colors and sounds. When he opened his eyes, he found himself sitting on a throne, dressed in a black robe.

'There's no way this is happening!' Jack...or rather Ainz thought.

Despite his now skeleton features, the look of surprise was evident as he slightly waved his skeleton hands in front of him. This catches the attention of Albedo near him but he is so focused that he didn't notice.

'Am I actually...?' suddenly his thoughts were interrupted.

"What is wrong, Momonga-sama?" Ainz heard her sweet voice.

"Huh?"

"Momonga-sama?"

"..." Albedo was standing in front of him, and he stared into her beautiful golden eyes. He was too stunned to even move or respond to anything she was saying.

To be honest, Ainz never expected Albedo to be so stunning in real life, even though she looked hot in the anime. Suddenly a passive skill of his calmed him down.

"Momonga-sama...? Speak to me, is there anything wrong?" Albedo looked worriedly at Ainz, "If there is a problem, I will do anything in my power to fix it."

As she gets closer, her big chest catches his attention. It bounces around and that makes him shy for a few moments before he calms down.

"Well...No, nothing."

"..."

'What should I do? Should I follow what the real Ainz did?' Ainz thought.

"Sebas."

"Yes."

"I need you to step outside and confirm the surroundings, report anything different, even minor things. Don't stray too far away and avoid unnecessary combat, and also take one of the Pleiades with you."

"It will be done, Momonga-sama, and I would like for Entoma to accompany me, her web traps and hunting abilities would come in handy for either a fight or a retreat situation."

"Umu. I agree with your choice. You both may go."

Ainz looks at the Pleiades, the combat maid squad of his. All of them seem to be waiting for his order.

"Pleiades, go to the 9th floor and be ready to guard it from possible attackers."

"Right away, Momonga-sama." Yuri replied.

Yuri, the vice-captain of the Pleiades, is the one to answer the order. One by one they leave the room to head to the 9th floor as per Ainz's orders.

"What shall I do, Momonga-sama?"

"I need you to gather all the guardians, except for the ones on the fourth and the eighth floor, to the fighting arena on the sixth floor. An hour from now should be fine." Ainz replied to Albedo.

'For now, I'm going to follow the routine. I still want to get comfortable here, so I'm just going to do what the real Ainz did...for now.'

"Understood, Momonga-sama." She says with a quick but decisive bow.

Now Ainz is sitting on his throne, alone, staring off at the end of the hall.

'Though I will follow what the real Ainz did, it doesn't mean that I can deliver his role as he did...that means that he guardians and everyone may betray me..nah, they are too loyal, I should know this by now.' He thought.

He stands up from his throne. "Let's look around, I only saw this place across the screen of my monitor...and it was animated."

After walking through his new home, Ainz finally made his way to the sixth floor, to the fighting arena.

"Aura."

"Welcome, Momonga-sama."

Ainz looks around. wanting to find Mare, the cute boy, dressing as a girl. (A/N: Yes, he is cute, what about it?)

"I was hoping to speak to Mare. Can you find him for me, Aura?" Ainz asked.

"Oh!" Aura turns around and begins to scream loudly.

"MARE! Stop being rude to Momonga-sama! Get down here right now!"

A voice from afar screams back, his head is barely visible from here as he tries his best to hide.
