It was practically good advice. If Shin would transform into a flame wolf, then he would have nothing more to worry about.

Indeed, the fire would have no effect on his body due to which he would easily be able to save the other wolf that had been trapped.

Shin wasted no time, he almost immediately used his skill to transform despite not knowing what the Flame Wolf would be like.

A thing to note, Shin really hated hot stuff so was not Flame Wolf a fire type? Wouldn't that cause him inconvenience? 

The answer is no, the moment he would become a Flame Wolf, he would no longer have trouble with the heat that was being generated from the fire in the surrounding.

That was why it was safe to assume that he wouldn't have any problems after transforming into that.
