21 New York, State Of mind

[Three weeks later]

It has been a long time since he arrived in this world.

He already enslaved all the darkseekers in this town and has even moved to a new, larger city than his previous one.

At the entrance of the city, there was a sign: "Welcome to New York."

This was the State of Mind, New York.

After a zombie apocalypse, New York City lies in ruins.

Once bustling streets are now deserted, littered with debris and remnants of the chaos that ensued.

Skyscrapers stand as silent sentinels, their windows broken and their interiors dark and lifeless.

The once vibrant neighborhoods are now overrun with weeds, with only occasional signs of struggling plant life breaking through the asphalt.

As for the army behind Gusto, they were his new mates.

The army he created using his seeking dominator Eye is now under his total, absolute control.

Throughout his time in this world, he hasn't encountered a single human.

He is unsure whether humans have survived or not.

If the human race has gone extinct, then his goals from this trip cannot be achieved, as he cannot bring those zombie-like creatures with him to the tower.

If one of those Darkseekers caused an infection in his tower, then all creatures would turn into zombies if they didn't have a strong immune system in their bodies.

Maybe he will create zombies in the future.

Thinking about it, zombies are half dead, half alive, so they are the fusion of both laws of life and laws of death.

By using those two laws simultaneously, he will create an undead creature like a zombie or a skeleton.

Of course, with his current powers, he is still far away from that level.

He has to keep on building his tower and accept players to simulate his growth and unlock new laws.

Back to reality, just as he was about to take a small walk in the new city, the sun started to rise in the sky.

This was his biggest weakness; the Darkseekers have an allergic reaction toward any type of light, especially the light of the sun.

The moment he makes any interaction with the sun, he will feel his skin boiling with an intensive feeling of pain.

This is why Darkseekers choose to move only at night.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a golden dog appeared running towards the end of the road.

It's Gusto's first time losing control over his Darkseekers.

They ignored his orders and started running behind the golden retriever.

Opening his third eye, Gusto saw a big red dot waiting for the Darkseekers at the end of the road.

The red color was under the road, which means "bombs."

Just as the zombies stepped off the red zone, a huge explosion occurred, wiping out the whole army without leaving any trace.

This plan cannot be done by Darkseekers, so there must be someone else here.

Someone smart enough to organize such a plan. A human most likely.

Gusto kept on using his Seeking Eye looking for the golden dog.

The golden retriever had already left the zone of explosion by this time.

The lust for blood of Darkseekers was stronger than Gusto's authority.

This caused the zombies to follow their instinct instead of his orders.

Left with no army behind him, Gusto's strength has taken a huge blow.

Now he would be the aim of any living beings in this town if he didn't recharge his strength.

Of course, this plan cannot be done now, as the sun is starting to rise.

In a secret lab deep under the earth, a black man was wearing his laboratory gloves and his glasses while experimenting with his new product on his lab's rats.

It's been three years since the breakout of KV in New York.

In those years, he spent his time either doing experiments to create an antidote for this virus or hunting Darkseekers in his city.

It's been three hours since he left his previous hunting session.

He came with the plan to use his last family member, Sam, as bait for Darkseekers before bombing them.

The thing he found interesting was one of the Darkseekers that refused to follow his bait.

In fact, that Darkseeker seems to know the existence of bombs somehow.

"Maybe I am just imagining..."

It's been two days since his last nap.

Maybe he should take a little time to restore his energy.

Closing his eyes, he directly falls asleep.

BOOM... Robert Neville woke up from his deep nap with the sound of something getting destroyed in his lab.

Holding the gun that he keeps next to his bed, he started walking toward the source of sounds.

The location of his lab is well-hidden from Darkseekers; finding him is nearly impossible.

This is what made him so confused.

Walking inside the room, he found that the roof was completely destroyed.

It's like someone jumped above him and destroyed it.

Suddenly, the Darkseeker emerged from the shadows, its movements fluid and predatory.

Its eyes gleamed with a feral hunger as it locked onto Robert, its twisted features contorting into a sinister snarl.

Robert tightened his grip on his weapon, a crude blade fashioned from scavenged materials, and braced himself for the onslaught.

The Darkseeker lunged forward with lightning speed, claws outstretched and teeth bared.

Robert dodged and parried, his movements fueled by instinct and survival.

The clang of metal against flesh echoed through the desolate streets as the two adversaries clashed in a deadly dance.

Despite Robert's skill and determination, the Darkseeker proved to be a formidable opponent.

Its ferocity was unmatched, and with each strike, it pushed Robert closer to the brink of exhaustion.

Blood dripped from wounds on both sides, staining the pavement crimson as the battle raged on.

In a desperate gambit, Robert managed to land a decisive blow, driving his weapon deep into the Darkseeker's chest.

But even as the creature staggered back, mortally wounded, it seized the opportunity to deliver a final, devastating strike.

With a savage roar, the Darkseeker lunged forward one last time, its claws tearing through Robert's defenses with lethal precision.

Pain surged through Robert's body as he felt the life drain from him, his vision blurring as darkness closed in around him.

As he collapsed to the ground, Robert knew that his fight was over.

Despite his valiant efforts, he had fallen in battle, another casualty in humanity's desperate struggle for survival against the relentless forces of the night.

It is a huge blow for all humans...

As for Gusto, he stood up looking at the corpse of his opponent...

His chest was damaged from the attacks of Robert...

He needs some time to recover completely...

He was able to find his hidden spot through his Seeking Dominator eye...

To be honest, he was a very hard enemy. In the future, he must prepare better for any opponent.

As for now...

[Are you sure you want to unleash your Will in this world?]

"Yes..."
