6 6. A Royal Request

Artisan sighed as he reclined in his home on Tamaran, gifted to him by the royal family due to his help in repelling the Citadelians. He has also helped them repel further attacks by the Citadel. Due to his help the people of Tamaran see him as their hero and saviour.

He also helped develop more weapons for them to use against the Citadel, not much since they are already powerful and he doesn't want to influence then too much. He plans on leaving the planet however as he wanted to explore more of the vast space.

And that is why he is currently meeting with the royal family as he is planning to leave two days from now. He is standing in front of the king and queen in the royal chamber as he has just told his plans to them.

"But it hasn't been such a long time since you had come to our planet. Can't you stay for a bit more?" Mythus asked him when he heard about the plans.

"I agree with my husband Lord Artisan. We were able to repel the forces of the Citadel so effectively because of your help. You are a saviour to us." Luand'r said to him with an imploring look.

"That might be so. But you and your people are powerful enough with your own natural abilities as you are. The technological advancements that I have given you will serve you well. Above all, I also wish to continue my travels in the vast universe." Artisan said to the king and queen.

The two rulers looked at each other before they turned to look at the Artisan.

"Very well, it is still your choice of whether or not you want to stay here. We are grateful and thank you for your help against the Citadel." Mythus said to him in a respectful and grateful tone.

"Tamaran will always be indebted to you, great Artisan." Luand'r said with a respectful tone as well.

"Thank you for understanding. However, I am willing to give you this transponder. Should you come across anything that might be too much or too dangerous for your people to handle, you can use this to call me." Artisan said as he pulled out a transponder.

"Really?" Mythus said surprised at his words.

"Yes. This will make sure that I will get it's message. I will show you how to use it." Artisan said as he walked to the two.

He then showed how the transponder worked to the two of the rulers as they memorized it as he have it to them.

"Only use it when in an extremely dangerous situation. I will come towards this planet the moment I get the signal." Artisan said to them with a calm face.

"We will make sure to use it only in emergencies." Luand'r said to him seriously.

"By the way, Lord Artisan, I had not taken this topic with you because I believed it wasn't the right time but I wish to request something from you." Mythus said to him seriously.

"What is the request?" Artisan asked him curiously.

"My mother, the previous queen Talathus had been taken as a slave by the Citadel during an attack in the past. I want to request you to save her from her fate." Mythus said to him in a pleading tone.

"Do you have a portrait of her and some information?" Artisan asked him seriously.

"Yes, I do have them. I can show you." Mythus said relieved as he stood up.

Mythus and Luand'r then guided Artisan to a room where a portrait of Talathus and information regarding her has been kept. Artisan immediately remembered every detail regarding it before he looked at the rulers.

"I will immediately go and try to free your mother, if she is still alive." Artisan said to the king seriously.

"Thank you." Mythus said to him with a bow.

"Don't thank me yet. I will go to the Citadel now and try to save her." Artisan said as his armor formed around him.

"Thank you. Shall I assign guards to accompany you?" Mythus asked him after that.

"No. I think it would be best if I was anonymous." Artisan said as he looked at his armor.

His armor then changed into a black colour as it has less protrusions like before. (A/N: The first ascension Armor of Odysseus.)

"I see. Then I shall wish for your success." Mythus said to him with a nod.

"Thank you for accepting the request of my husband." Luand'r said to him with a smile.

"Do not worry about it. I will immediately go to save your mother." Artisan said as he looked at the king.

He then turned around and walked away from them as he did the calculations and made a plan of action.

'Time to cause some chaos.' Artisan thought to himself as he smiled.

Time skip

It was pure chaos in the Citadel as their systems have been attacked leaving them in a slightly vulnerable state. It also didn't help that a very fast spaceship with powerful weapons were attacking them as well, said ship belonging to the Artisan of course.

"What kind of ship is that!?" One Citadelian shouted as it was trying to attack the Artisan's ship.

"I don't know! Our systems were also attacked as well!" The guard near the last one shouted back.

The Artisan's ship was flying in zig zag and in other maneuvers as it flew through the sky and shot and destroyed many of the Citadel and the people as well.

While this was going on Artisan is moving through the Citadel's slave quarters as he is freeing them and giving them information about the ships as he moved from one cell to another as they all ran away. After he was done in there he couldn't find Talathus.

This caused him to narrow his eyes as he blasted out of there and then scanned the more pivotal parts of the building and he got a reading as he flew towards the upper part of the tower as he blasted the wall and enter it. He was met with a ton of guards as they pointed their weapons at him.

But he raised his hands and his armor changed as they shot at the Citadelians and killed them as he flew through the hallway and smashed through a door as he heard a scream.

He looked inside and saw a Tamaranian who was bound in chains as she is looking at him in fear. He raised his hand and blasted the chains as she was freed as she looked at herself in shock.

"I have come to save the slaves. Come on." Artisan said as he reached her and picked her up as she yelped.

'She seems to be malnourished.' Artisan thought to himself as he looked at the thin woman.

He then blasted the wall in front of him as he flew out of it with her in his arms as she held onto him in fear. He watched as the slaves he had saved were boarding the ships that he had hacked into as they were flying away.

The Citadelians were trying to stop them, only for his ship to intervene and protect the former slaves from their captors. He flew quickly as he called his ship as it flew to him as he entered it with Talathus with him.

He placed her on a seat and the seat belt held her as she watched him as he went to the console and started to command the ship as he attacked the Citadelians as he gathered attention on himself as he flew the ship and destroyed the enemy ships while allowing the slaves to run away.

"Good. All of them escaped." Artisan said to himself as he saw them flee away.

He also didn't waste any time as he shot a massive attack which destroyed a good chunk of the large building before he turned his ship and around and disappeared from the view of the Citadelians.

The Citadelians themselves were looking at the direction in which the ship went as they couldn't believe what had just happened in a few minutes.
