Reincarnated as a Spore!

A man was born into a world full of hate and despair, not so different from our own. Trying his best to fight against fate, he managed to squeak past death, and was given a second chance. It might sound like a classic story, does it not? Well, you are half right. The man is exiled, betrayed, and is left to die on the streets. By sheer luck, he managed to land himself inside a world of magic and opportunities, one where he can take full advantage in. Follow this unknown soul to the ends of his new playground, attracting beauties left and right. If you are wanting a story with some comedy, action, adventure, and major harem elements in between, then this is the book for You! This book does contain sexual content, but is far and few between. As it is a slow burn story, please do not expect action to start at the very first chapters, and trust me, those action scenes are good. The MCs character may be a bit irrational and hard to understand at times, but all that will weave together towards the later chapters. P.S (Cover art is not mine. Doggos?!

Now let's try something new. Since I can't see anything with motion, or anything new that has been moved on top of my already Imprinted area, I have to create a new way to see moving animals or stuff like that. And I have found the perfect way, I think. As I have so many spores now, to reduce my size and also have a better sense of what is around me, I can create tiny strands, by the billions, into very thin lines that can go on for miles, if I want them to.

For now, I am going to put them on a perimeter around my true body. Decreasing my size, I release billions of tiny strands, invisible to the naked eye. If someone were to see the strands, it would look like a thick ball of green and white surrounded by a cotton-candy-looking sphere, sort of like a super-thin forcefield. This should be a great warning in case something is passing by me or coming at me without malicious intent because I can sense even without these strands.

With the mastery I have over the strands, I can keep them in this state everlasting, whether the wind is blowing or not. The only thing that could pose a problem is someone or something strong enough to cut an almost atom-size spore or crush it into dust. The only other weaknesses I can think of are the natural elements, like fire, water, air, or other things like that. Since there might be something close to magic here, that might also be another weakness. So basically, anything in this forest besides the ones who can use magic, cannot kill me.

The reason I say this is that I'm LEVEL 721! Like hell, anything in this forest that has reached this level would be way dead. Then again, I have a great advantage time-wise. 10 years in my time is only half a year, give or take. The math may not be spot on, as I do not have a calculator. That would mean that anything that has lived for a year in human time would be decades old in Spore Time. Anyways, that is irrelevant for now. Now, time to find more animals to Memorize!

Feeling like a giant cotton ball, I rolled around for a while before I found my first specimen. It looked exactly like the Stomp Hoppers that I found a while back inside the temple. Without wasting time, I ambushed it, expecting a big fight, because all I was was a big spore, right? Wrong!

As I mimicked the giant ax that tried to kill me, I sprang into the air using the plates from the Ballers as a springboard. While in the air, I did an exaggerated morphing animation, sort of like slowly stirring oil in water. Since I was about as light as air, I could do it for longer than if I weighed as much as a human. After having my fun at morphing, I made the ax, bending it behind me before letting all the tension go and the force sent me crashing down on the opponent.

The opponent, which was the Hopper, sensed the danger way too late. Hearing the whooshing air above his head, he opened his mouth to either try to eat me whole or strike with his tongue. I would not find out anytime soon, because before he could do anything, the ax, which was about the size of the Hopper itself, chopped it cleanly in half. Kind of disappointed, but kind of expecting this, I looked down in dissatisfaction as the oversized frog bled out.

'Now I can't fucking use it!' I thought. The whole point of finding these little shits was to memorize their entire structure so I could morph myself into something more ergonomic. Now I had a cut in the half frog. Still, I could use this.

Wrapping a rope of my bone spores around in, I dragged both pieces of gore and flesh behind me. I am going looking for a mountain to hopefully have a cave in it. Not looking back at all the viscera leaking out of the two halves, I rolled faster to hopefully not be followed by the scent of blood. Finally finding a mountain with a sharp face on it, I decided that it was not worth going from mountain to mountain trying to find a cave if I can just make one myself.

Using the same structure of the ax, and changing the head to one of a classic pic, I did the same thing I did to cut the frog in half, except on the ground and back and forth. With the loud ringing of metal against rocks, it took hours of HT to complete creating a cave large enough to hold the frog and all of me in it comfortably, and also a back section tall enough and wide enough to continue my experiments. It looked like complete shit because it was dug out by only a pic, but I can renovate it later when I have more body compositions to use. Storing both halves in a little crevice in my 'Specimen Lab', I deposited some of my trillions of spores in the first part of the cave.

Using the Coalesce skill to hole up the cave with big boulders, which I can do now that I have maxed out my skill, I left the cave to find other monsters, this time being more careful to elongate the fight and make sure to leave the enemy in one piece. While wandering around the forest, I tried training my reaction speed with my extensions by rolling with maximum speed, trying to not hit the trees. This endeavor proved to be much harder than I thought and hit more trees than I would like to admit. I hit over 50.

When I finally got the hang of it, I heard multiple howling. By hearing, I meant the vibrations in the ground. That was how loud their howling was. I tried to halt my movements as fast as possible, tearing up the ground as I thickened my extensions into a spear, like ropes, shooting them into the ground to halt my high-speed rolling.

Luckily, I was not rolling downhill. That would have been another story. Anyways, after I finally slowed myself down, I 'listened' to the howling again. After a couple of minutes, I felt the howls again, not too far away from my current position.
