7 Chapter 7 - Ozpin

Inside of what appeared to be an interrogation room

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

(female)???: "I hope you realize that both of your actions will not be taken lightly. You put yourself and others into great danger.

Ruby: "They started it."

Shallot: "Anyone has cookies. I'm hungry."

The female looked at Shallot then got back to what she was saying.

(female)???: If it was up to me you would be sent home with a pat on the back ... and a slap on the wrist.

She then took her crop and slapped it onto the table making Ruby jump back.

Shallot: 'She seems like the dominatrix kind.'

(female)???: But there's someone here who would like to see you both.

A middle-aged man with tousled silver hair and thin brown eyes walks in. He has a light complexion and sharp facial features. Interestingly, he has black eyebrows, suggesting that he may have had black hair when he was younger.

(male) ???: Ruby Rose ... you have silver eyes.

Shallot: "Yes she does and they look quite adorable.

Ruby just looks awkwardly from that question.

(male) ???: So, where did you learn to do this.

The silver-haired man shows a video of Ruby taking the guy through the window and Shallot knocking out two armed men with one attack.

Ruby looked at the screen surprised at what the guy next to her had down that looked so effortlessly.

Ruby: Signal academy

The silver-haired man looked towards Shallot.

(male) ???: And you?

Shallot: "Well it's a long story ... I fought Grimm and people ... well not that long of a story I guess. If your wondering who taught me. I'm self-taught except for one weapon, the chain scythe but I can't tell you her name. Grammy doesn't like people bothering her after all.

The silver-haired man looked amazed for a second then turned back to Ruby

(male) ???: "They taught you to use one of the most dangerous weapons ever designed."

Ruby: "Well, one teacher in particular.

(male) ???: "I see."

The silver-haired man placed the plate on the table but noticed that half of the cookies were already gone.

Munching could be heard from the side of Ruby and they all turned to look at him seeing cookie crumbs all over his mouth.

Shallot: (stuffed mouth) "Wh ...at?"

Ruby looked at Shallot then just looked down at the plate before grabbing one and eating it before shoveling the rest in her mouth.

(male) ???: "It's just that I've only seen one other scythe wielder that skilled before ... a dusty old Qrow."

Shallot: "I've seen better."

The silver-haired man raised an eyebrow at that.

Ruby was mumbling with cookies in her mouth.

Ruby: "That's my Uncle."

Ruby choked a little on the cookies she was eating.

Ruby: "Sorry. That's my uncle Qrow. He's a teacher at Signal. I was complete garbage before he took me under his wing and now I'm all like"

Ruby started making Kung fu moves and swinging her arms around and Shallot started scooting away from here so he doesn't get hit even though it wouldn't hurt him.

(male) ???: So I've noticed and what does an adorable girl like you doing to at a school designed to train warriors.

When Shallot heard about the school training warriors he started getting excited thinking about if anyone there can give him a challenge. He soon calmed down and noticed that it seems they forgot about him so he decided to take a nap until he can get some real food so he can eat himself into a food coma.

Shallot continued nodding off while hearing them talk until he couldn't hear anything anymore. He was pretty sure that he was only napping for about five minutes when he was being shaken and he opened his eyes to see that he was still in the same room but it seemed that the conversation had been finished.

(male) ???: "Do you know who I am?"

Shallot: "The Wizard of Oz I presume."

Ruby chuckled next to Shallot at the pun that Shallot had made and started thinking of her sister.

(male) ???: "I am Professor Ozpin. The head of beacon academy and I wanted to know what your name is sir."

Shallot: "Sir? I just turned 16 last week."

Ozpin: "Well you have quiet the developed body for someone only 16."

Shallot: "I come from a clan of warriors."

Ozpin directed his hand towards the woman on his side and introduced her.

Ozpin: "This is Glynda Goodwich and is a teacher at Beacon academy but is more of a representative."

Shallot: "I'm Shallot no last name. I didn't want to be susceptible to the death note. Nice to meet you.

Shallot turned towards Ruby before asking.

Shallot: "Hey wanna be friends."

He stretched out his hand for a handshake and Ruby shook his hand.

Ruby: "Sure"

Ozpin looked at Shallot not expecting him to ignore him so much after knowing about his identity.

Ozpin: Shallot would you like to attend beacon academy and what is a death note?

Shallot thought about it since he came here originally so that he could get into the school but he doesn't have any records about him. Over the years he has done more mercenary work and not student type of work.

Shallot: "Sure, hopefully, there's someone strong there since Grimm doesn't give me a challenge anymore and a death note is ... just take it as a joke.

Ozpin was surprised that he had decided that he join so that he could fight someone strong and not doing it to protect people and just put the thought about the death note away inside of his head later.

Ozpin: "At Beacon Academy, we train people to become hunters and huntresses so that they could save the lives of others. If you attend you will have to do the same thing."

Shallot didn't have a problem with saving people since he has the strength and wouldn't ignore someone that was in need. He has been going around the last 13 years telling people that "With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility" he shouldn't be a hypocrite."

Shallot: "I can do that. After all "With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility" and those that abuse their power will eventually be consumed by it."'Plus I'm pretty sure I've created a terror-stricken society over in anima from looking at the moon while traveling. I'm so glad I learned to control my Oozaru form before becoming training physically.

Ozpin liked these words then gave an understanding nod while seeming to think about something. He did have one more question for Shallot though.

Ozpin: "I have seen in the video that you had a scythe and was told by Ms. Goodwitch that you seemed comfortable with it. Who taught you to use your scythe."

Shallot just smiled thinking about trying to recreate all the weapon from Ninja Gaiden but just loving the combo strings for the Eclipse Scythe the most and that is specialized in taking down big enemies. He had created a katana in the image of the dragon blade and the others but matching their counterparts but after the imitations broke he decided to stick with the scythe for the past 3 years.

Shallot: 'Although I still do have my version of the dragon blade which was bathed in the blood of the white fang, cannibals, and bandits to make it ... Ahh ... good times. It's a shame I had to leave it in anime since it draws Grimm towards it but at least I know no one can wield it but me since even some of my blood in inside it.'

Shallot: "I'm pretty sure that you've never heard of him but his name is Ryu Hayabusa. He taught me how to wield and use multiple weapons but the Scythe was the best one for tearing through a horde of enemies. I've been fighting life and death battles for the past 4 years to grow stronger against Grimm."

Ozpin was amazed but also knew of other children who would fight just to survive but was also interested in this Ryu Hayabusa.

You can show up with Ruby tomorrow to go to Beacon Academy and I hope you find it as exciting as you may think it to be.

Ozpin and Glynda then led both of them out of the room and sent them on their way for the night.
