Chapter 4

MC POV:

In a blink of an eye, another 2 years have passed. Today, I will become 5 years old.

People of this world normally undergo their aptitude test and awakened their talents at 7, this will be the time to decide whether a person is a trash or genius.

For the past 2 years, I have tried my best to upgrade my aptitude and talent. However, it is ridiculously hard to even upgrade my talent to the next level. "System show my status."

As today is my fifth birthday, I alongside with other 5 years old of the Gu family will be taught some lessons about cultivation.

"Tell the patriarch, I will be coming." I replied, as I tied my hair into a ponytail and exited the room.

Arriving at my father's hall, before getting the chance to knock the door, I heard words from inside the hall.

"Enter."

As I open the door, a room which was filled with bookshelves filled with different books, as many documents and papers could be seen on the table. A middle age looking man, who seemed to be in his 30s, was signing on a document. He has the presence of a wise emperor, in contrast to a war maniac he usually is, and the man opened his mouth.

"Chen'er as of today you are 5 years old, you will be given lessons regarding cultivation and will undergo physical training. You must understand that to be able to live in the blood filled path of a cultivator, you must have a strong mind and body." My father said as he stopped whatever he was doing and looked at me straight in the eyes.

"I understand, I promised to go through any kind of training that is needed." I replied enthusiastically , as I was also excited to finally learn about cultivation.

Hearing my reply, a smile covered my father's face as he said "I announce that from now on until your awakening ceremony, you will go through different kinds of training in order to strengthen your mind as well as your body."

"YES." Bowing down, I replied respectfully.

"Happy birthday my dear son." My father replied as he walked up to me and gave me a hug.
