48 Complex Situation

Abel sighed as he looked at Robin who was looking at the logbook with a burning gaze. He helplessly gave it to Robin before warning.

'' Don't slow your training cause of reading! Also, tell me anything useful in it.''

''Okay.'' Robin hurriedly took the book as if Abel would just change his opinion next second and stole it back. Abel saw a festival in the distance and walked here casually as he took a plate of food and ate it on the way. Abel saw people in the crowd whispering about Bernard and Dark Moon and was confused.

' What is Bernard doing here? He should be with Cavendish, close to Jaya.' Abel frowned as he whispered to Robin.

'' Take the masks out, also we should get rid of the dyes.'' Robin nodded as she understood Abel's intent. İf they went to spoke with Bernard openly, even if they were in disguise it would take too much attention and people would speculate. Disguise only covered their hair and Abel's skin colour. İt didn't completely hide them. 10 minutes later Abel and Robin went towards a table and Abel shockedly watched the situation in front of him.

'' You guys are too fucking slow! I need more pizza! Come on move your asses!'' A little kid was ordering everyone as if she was the queen of this island. The servers didn't hesitate to run and fetch a dozen more pizza's. Robin was seemingly used to the ridiculuness of the crew as she smiled and sat on the table reading Noland's logbook. Abel looked at the pink haired kid closely once again.

' İsn't she....?'

Abel checked 5 more times in a daze and only then went next to Bernard and sat beside him. Bernard who was only focused on food saw Abel and a big smile appeared on his face.

'' BOSS! This kid was bullied but I saved her! You don't need to worry!''

Abel laughed at the ridiculusness of the situation.

' You saved a future supernova! Well, whatever.'

'' Good job! Let me speak with her a bit.''

Abel immediately took Bonney from Bernard's lap and put her on his lab. Bonney's heartbeat raised in anxiousness.

' Fuck! İs this guy that famous super rookie called Abel?'

Bonney put on an innocent expression as she looked at Abel with teary eyes. She muttered with a soft and anxious voice.

'' Big brother! I-I... was just hungry. I'm sorry if I bothered you.'' Her previous arrogance was already gone.

Abel looked at her amused.

'Still roleplaying? Well, two people can play that game!'

Abel spoke with a warm and caring voice as he patted her head.

'' Don't worry, little girl. You are safe with us. We are great adventurers that punish pirates and help common folk! This handsome brother will help you out. Tell me where are your parents?''

Bonney panicked but still kept up her act.

''T-They are close to here! Big brother doesn't need to bother!''

'' Oh, that's good. I will escort you there then!''

Bonney was very panicked as she cursed inside.

' I should have left when I ate 25'th plate! This fucker just won't let me go.' Bonney's eyes turned cold as she thought.

' Abel or whatever, once you are a child, let's see how arrogant you will be!'

Bonney sneakily tried to touch Abel's hand but she was shocked when Abel's hair, like a snake binded her two small hands and didn't allow her to touch him. Abel lowered his head to Bonney's ears as he whispered with a soft voice.

'' You are a very naughty kid... Jewelry Bonney.''

Bonney jumped with panic, shame and anger. She immediately turned into her adult form as she cursed.

'' Since you know, why are you acting!? Fucker! Let go of my hands!''

' Relationship formed with Bonney(İntermediate character). Current relationship -20(Angry)

Abel looked at Bonney speechlessly. ' You started it in the first place...'

Abel spoke relaxedly as he kept eating from his plate while his hair still cuffed Bonney's hands.

'' Why would I let you go? After you used my reputation... Do you think Dark Moon is a jok-''

Before Abel could continue Bernard's furious roar shook the place, some pirates and servers around were so scared that they fell to the floor on their butts.

'' YOU ARE THAT THİEF! GİVE MY FOOD BACK!''

Abel sighed as he signaled at Robin. Robin closed the book and explained patiently to the Bernard.

'' Bernard, this woman is the same person as that kid you ate with. She can change her ag-''

Bernard smiled as if he figured it all out and cut Robin off.

'' OH! So she is a big kid! Since you are a kid I will forgive you.'' Bernard declared as he patted at the adult Bonney's head. Bonney stood there dumbly as Bernard patted her head. The servers and pirates who were standing up from the ground once again fell to the floor, this time from shock.

'Brother... you can't be serious right?'

Robin gave Abel a pitiful look.

' Can I give up?'

Abel sighed. Explaining things to Bernard was an extremely complex affair. Even Abel couldn't do it so he didn't expect Robin to succeed in the first place. Abel nodded at Robin.

' You can.'

Abel turned to Bonney as he spoke seriously.

'' So... How do you intend to repay for using our reputation?''

Bonney glared at Abel as she shouted.

'' I don't have money or whatever! What do you want!?''

Abel looked at her thoughtfully and spoke his mind.

'' Well, you can still pay back with your body.''

Bonney's face turned crimson red as she screamed at Abel.

'' FUCK OFF! Pervert!''

People around also watched it with pale faces as they whispered.

'' As expected... what a ruthless person!''

Abel was confused from the outburst before he understood the situation as he explained disdainfully.

'' I meant to recruit you. Who cares about your body!? Your beauty is not on par with my handsomeness! Stop dreaming about impossible things!''

Bonney's chest rose in anger as she glared at Abel furiously.

' Who dreams about you? Such an arrogant bastard!'

She gritted her teeth as she declared.

'' I refuse! I invite you to a duel! İf I win, you must not pursue this matter anymore!''

'' Fine.'' Abel immediately agreed as Aranruth appeared on his hand without releasing Bonney's hands.

Bonney's face turned pale as she hurriedly explained herself.

'' I didn't mean fighting! How can you fight with a girl!? You didn't even release me. You are such a shameless bastard!''

Abel looked at Bonney with a dark face.

'' You have such a dirty mouth. The first thing you do once you board the ship should be to wash your mouth with pepper!''

The reason Abel wanted to recruit Bonney was simple. Abel realised that signing in with minor characters was not rewarding enough anymore. He wanted to keep Bonney close to farm relationship with her. Second reason was Bonney's ability. Abel didn't care much about her potential as a fighter but her ability could allow him and Robin to disguise themselves much easier. Her potential also shouldn't be too bad since she was a supernova from Luffy's generation. Each supernova at least reached officer lvl in canon.

Bonney looked at Abel as she spoke. '' Talk about that once you beat me! I invite you to an eating competition! Do you dare!?''

Bonney immediately choosed her best ability as she challenged Abel with an arrogant smile.

'' Sure.'' Surprisingly Abel accepted it casually as he sat down beside her. Bonney frowned as she looked at him.

'' Don't break your promise later on!''

'' Don't worry, I never break my promises!'' Abel confidently declared as they started eating at the table under everyones stunned looks.

' How did it come to this...'

Bernard cheered from the sidelines with a loud voice.

'' BOSS! Don't lose to a kid!''

People around after a while got out of their shock and watched the situation curiously.

Abel and Bonney kept eating for 10 minutes nonstop as Abel started to struggle as his stomach bulged. Bonney ate 3 big pizza slices while giving Abel a disdainful glance. Abel smiled to himself.

' Well, it is about time...'

' Seimei Kikan!'

Abel's bulged stomach returned to it's usual muscular self as if nothing happened. People surrounding them looked on with dumbfounded looks. Bonney's mouth opened wide as the pizza in her mouth dropped to the floor.

'' W-What the fuck!? What kind of weirdo are you?''

Abel glanced at her arrogantly.

'' I was only playing around just now. They call you a glutton? You are too weak! I can beat 10 of you one after another!''

' Relationship updated with Bonney. Current relationship -30(furious)'

'' İt is not over yet!'' Bonney declared with a red face.

10 minutes later Bonney started to feel full and glanced at Abel's bulging stomach. ' He should be done, right?'

' Seimei Kikan!'

'' FUCK! You are cheating! This is cheating!'' Bonney exploded in fury at Abel. Abel looked at her mockingly.

'' How am I cheating? You were the one who proposed the duel! Don't cry now.'' Bonney gritted her teeth as she kept on eating.

2 hours of nonstop eating later...

Bonney fell to the floor with an unwilling face as she muttered.

'' I give up. You are a freak of nature.''

Abel proudly stood up as he patted his belly.

'' Losers always have excuses!''

Bonney felt her blood pressure raising again but before she could explode Bernard patted her on the head while sincerely explaining.

'' Kids can't win against adults. You should grow up first!''

Bonney's anger diminished as she once again became confused. She sighed deeply as she laid on the floor exhausted. She started reconsidering her life choices. She couldn't comprehend how she ended up in such a ridiculus situation.

'' JYUUU!'' Just at that time Abel heard a sound and turned towards Barbossa and Nana who was looking like they just went out of war. There were bruises and dirt every part of their body, Nana's face was especially pale.

'' Oh, you caught it. Good job. We don't need it for the time being though. We should first modify our ship. There is still some time until we reach the sky.''

Barbossa looked at Abel with his mouth fully open in disbelief.

'' Captain... Didn't you tell us we had only 2 hours?''

'' Well, I just told it casually so that you try your best. How can I magically guess the time?''

Barbossa sighed deeply and he heard Nana whisper to him with a shaky tone. This last revelation from Abel was too much for her.

''I think... I will puke.''

Barbossa's face turned pale as he screamed.

'' Fuck! Stay away from me!''

Abel didn't care about them anymore and was about to call Cavendish when he saw a figure stumbling towards them carrying what seemed like a corpse. Abel understood after seeing the corpse is Heisuke.

'' Why are you carrying around a corpse with you?'' Cavendish rolled his eyes as he kicked Heisuke in his stomach.

'' AH! Sorry, mister Cavendish I fell asleep while you were dragging me... M-Mister Abel, is that you!? P-Please turn my wife to her normal self! I am willing to do anything for her sake! Please help me out this once!''

Abel was stunned but didn't miss the opportunity and spoke as he gave him a den den mushi.

'' You are the overlord of Jaya? From now on any interesting rumor or information, directly tell me.''

Heisuke sighed in relief as he spoke.

'' Yes, yes. İt is just a small deal. Thank you!''

Heisuke then turned to Bonney expectantly waiting for her to make her move.

'' İt is not permanent, anyway. Dumbass.''

Heisuke was stunned as he looked at Abel hesistantly. Abel frowned as he looked at Heisuke.

'' We already made the deal. Are you backing off?''

Heisuke sighed deeply. ' Why am I always at a loss?'

'' Of course, of course. I will keep relaying you information from now on.''

Abel was satisfied as he gathered the crew to the ship. After everyone was on the ship sitting on their kitchen table Abel started speaking.

'' To go to sky we need to catch the 'Knock-up stream'. Which happens to be 15 days away. But, we first need to modify our ship to do that. To implement the theory behind it and modificate the ship succesfully is not easy. The most relaible people to modify the ship are at Water 7. Our next destination is there as well.''

Robin sighed as she spoke.

'' You are right. But while you were unconciouss in Alabasta something big happened there. This might be more complicated than we think.''

Abel frowned as he asked Robin.

'' What do you mean?''

' What happened this time!?'

Robin spoke as everyone listened.

'' Revolutionaries revealed the information that Franky was innocent with evidence. Water 7 demanded an explanation from the government and demanded İceberg to be escorted to Water 7. Government refused to give a clear explanation. That's why people of Water 7 protested against World Government... This angered the government and all sea trains that made Water-7 self sufficent were banned from usage. Government also bought all the quality food via blackmarket, cutting off their profits and supply until Water-7 city represantative Paulie apologise to them the bans wouldn't be released. I heard the city still protests to this day and many people are affected by the crisis. They don't even have enough things to feed themselves let alone constructing ships.''

Abel was stunned as he tried to process all the information.

' Water-7 and Paulie are really daring to publicly denounce government.'

Abel sighed as he thought about a solution.

' İf I help them out, it will probably anger the government but if I don't help out no one will probably bother to modify the ship in their hard time.'

Abel sighed and was about to declare his decision when a government bird hit the glass few times. Cavendish who was beside the window opened it. The bird dropped a letter in the middle of the table and stood on top of Bernard's head.

' Abel, captain of Dark Moon, the rainbringer of Alabasta. We recognize your strength and influence and invite you to take a seat among the 7 warlords of the sea. Upon accepting, your autharities and limitations will be as following....................İf you refuse, sent this letter back in 3 days with an explanation. İf you don't give an explanation, you will be treated as if you are a regular pirate and hunted down.

Abel who took the letter sighed deeply.

' Sooner than I expected. So... they want to gauge my intentions, and if suspicious eliminate me.'

Abel took out a pen and a blank paper and started writing.

' Time to practice my bullshitting skills'
