14 Cleaning Up

Even though Abel didn't care much about the wasted immortal grade pill anymore he still lectured Nami so that things wouldn't repeat itself. Even though Abel was a petty and shameless person, he would mostly boast to scam relationship from kids, otherwise boasting was not much useful, rather disadvantagous. After Abel lectured Nami and farmed some relationship from Kaya and Merry he excused himself and left the mansion. Abel was not sleepy so he decided to practice vanishing step and try to improve the skill until morning.

Roughly 7 hours later...

'Ding! Congrulations host for improving the skill vanishing step with continuous usage. Agility increase improved to %30'

' Only %5 increase for so much trouble. Well, whatever.' Abel left the beach when he saw the sun already rose. He was a little tired, even though his stamina was very high, using vanishing step for 7 hours took a toll on him. 'I need to get stronger as quickly as possible. I am messing with the canon so much, things will get unpredictable soon enough because of my meddling.'

Even though Abel knew messing with canon was disadvantagous, to get stronger soon he needed to form relationships with major characters. And messing with canon was the most profitable way. 'Well, that is not the only reason.' Abel was not someone stupid. He knew that as long as he laid low, visited a lot of islands and didn't interract with canon characters, the story would stay same. At that time he could join Luffy's crew and farm relationship with all the major characters while visiting all the important islands. But even while knowing all this, he still didn't choose that route. Because even though Abel was shameless, petty and could do many things to gain power, at his core he was also free-spirited and arrogant. He would never allow anything to restrict his freedom and do whatever he wished. As long as he felt something was restricting his freedom he would immediately abandon it. Even the system wasn't exempt from this rule, if in the future Abel finds out the system is restricting him he would abandon it without any hesitation as well. That's why he didn't want to stay under Luffy or any other yonkou and farm points quietly. He would rather turn the world upside down in his own way than to live a life he wasn't satisfied. 'Usopp's mother is alive. Usopp and Nami met very early, the storylines with Kuro, Alvida and Morgan are probably also gone by now. And other changes that I haven't considered...' Even though Abel knew that he was breaking the canon in major ways he wasn't upset. He was happy instead. 'Rather than waiting for canon to unfold and leave my fate up to Luffy and others, I would rather break everything and create my own fate.'

While Abel was walking deep in his thoughts he saw Usopp whe was sitting on a rock crying, Nami was trying to cheer him up beside him. 'Sigh... What is it this time...' Abel felt that dealing with these 2 was more exhausting than fighting with others.

''Brat, what is wrong? Every time I see you, you are crying. Aren't you going to become a brave warrior of the sea? What is this nonsense, tell me.'' Abel asked as he sat beside Usopp as well a little annoyed. Usopp hurriedly wiped his snot and tears to his shirt hurriedly hiding his face.

'' N-Nothing is wrong. I am not crying.'' Usopp refused to answer.

'...'

'' Sigh, disciple, what is this all about?'' Abel asked Nami helplessly.

'' He told villagers that he saw Ghost's face and wanted to be a hero like him in the future. No one believed him and they all mocked Usopp.'' Nami answered immediately under Usopp's angry glare. Nami didn't care. 'Don't glare at me boy! Between you and teacher, I will choose teacher of course.'

'' Well, why are you crying than? Do you think you can't do it? Have some confidence in yourself.''

'' B-But... I am not like you at all. I don't have any skills, I am not brave, I have nothing. I can only lie... But no one believes my lies too.'' Usopp said with teary eyes.

'Sigh...' Abel really wanted to ignore him and leave but he knew he wouldn't be able to help it in the end.

'' Brat... Do you think lying is useless? Bullshit! Lying is one of the greatest skills in this world! You just need to practice more. Here let me help you... Tell me a lie.''

Usopp looked at Abel suspiciously. 'İs lying really useful...?' Usopp took a deep breath and tried.

''I-I have 8000 subordinates! Get lost, unless you want to die!'' After lying Usopp looked at Abel expectantly for praise.

Hours passed by as Abel lectured Usopp at the art of lying. Just as he was about to end the lecture he saw Merry hurrying towards him with marines behind him.

'' Ah, Mr. Ghost. Your underling Captain Morgan and leader of this island's branch Captain Douglas arrived.''

Abel helplessly ended the lecture to speak with these two.

'' Brat! So you are the one they call Ghost. How dare you call me your subordinate!?'' Before Abel could speak he was greeted by Morgan's furious roar.

'' I just called you my subordinate casually. You are not deserving of that position. How about I call you my dog?'' Abel insulted him naturally without even getting up. Everyone looked at him shocked as they became anxious.

'Ding! Congrulations for forming a relatonship with Morgan(minor character). Current relationship -30'

'' You bastard! Just because you are from headquarters, don't be arrogant!'' Morgan was already in terrible mood when he learned someone called Ghost captured Kuro while he was treated as an underling and sent to clean no name subordinates. His reputation was already damaged after Kuro found alive and this Ghost was rubbing salt to his wounds constantly.

'' You, a person who was promoted based on a fake report, and me, who is a young elite temporarily in this position that will advance in a few months. Comparing our status I can indeed be arrogant, no? How was Kuro's underlings? Did you manage to finish the job this time, or are they alive as well?'' Abel didn't care as he kept insulting his ego in front of his subordinates

Morgan gritted his teeth as he looked Abel furiously.

'' I made contributions as well! I found where Kuro's underlings were located. You can't take away my part.'' Morgan exclaimed angrily. He didn't want this person to steal all contributions, otherwise he will likely be demoted.

'' Do you mean the paper you found? İt was me who left it behind. You were so incompetent that I gave you some assistance. But you played the underling role well, saving me some trouble.'' Abel countered calmly.

Morgan's whole face turned red as he looked at Abel with hatred. Then he remembered something as his face turned suspicious.

'' So you were in Shell Town that day. Coincidentally my marine emblem was stolen that day as well. Boy, show me your emblem!'' Morgan said coldly.

'' Hahaha, you are accusing me? Very funny. You are so incompetent that you got your emblem stolen! Do you think, you are qualified to know my true name, when no one here doesn't? Well, if you can take the emblem from me, I won't have any excuses. How about it, do you want to try stealing from me?'' Abel mocked as he watched Morgan's face turn more and more black.

Blood dripped down to the floor as Morgan clecnched his fists in anger, dugging his nails to his palms. He wanted nothing more than to pounce on him and beat him up but his body didn't move. He remembered when Kuro beat him up easily and knew he was not a match for Ghost who beat that fierce pirate alone. There was an awkward silence as everyone looked at Morgan waiting for his response. After a very long and awkward silence Morgan turned around with his body trembling and said to his subordinates. '' We are leaving.'' His subordinates looked at him complicated. They have never seen their Captain so humiliated before, and he didn't even retalliate as he escaped the scene after being scolded. His reputation that he built step by step was crumbled in just 2 days, starting when Kuro was revealed alive to his scolding in front of his subordinates.

'Ding! Relationship updated with Morgan. Current relationship -90(Deep hatred)'

Before Morgan left Abel signed in with him but didn't check the rewards yet. He turned to Douglas who was sneakily trying to leave as well.

'' Did I say you could leave? Sit down.'' Abel ordered coldly. Douglas gulped as he sat down in front of Abel. Even Morgan who had a fierce reputation was scolded until his reputation was in shambles. He was naturally cowed by this young marine captain.

'' When was the last time you visited Shell Town?'' Abel asked casually.

'' Ah... İt was 2 months ago sir.'' Douglas was confused but still answered honestly.

'' Tell me, what is your job?''

'' Eh... I-I am a marine,sir?'' Douglas was getting more and more confused.

'' What does marines do?''

'' We... administrate justice,sir.''

'' Good. So, in my next report to headquarters, do you want me to write that you are blind or corrupt? Which one is correct?'' Abel asked coldly.

Douglas was stupified and it took a long time to understand what was going on. Abel was talking about the corruption in Shell Town where Morgan and Helmeppo did whatever they wanted. Douglas was of course aware of it but... he didn't dare to go against Morgan and kept silent. He was panicked immediately.

'' S-Sir, please give me a chance. I-I will be better, I promise. Please, I beg of you.'' Douglas started begging as he kneeled on the floor. Abel looked at him coldly and scoffed.

'' I will give you a chance... Make a report, detailing every misdeed committed by Helmeppo and Morgans and sent it to headquarters. İf the next time I read newspapers, they are not in jail... The consequences will be unimaginable for you.''

'' Y-Yes sir. I understand. Thank you for your mercy.''

Abel nodded at him as he gestured him to leave. ' It is time to clean up these people. I already signed in with them, since I broke the canon as well they are useless.' İn the past Abel didn't care about this minor characters because they were very weak, and he thought they wouldn't threaten him. But even if it was a small possibility if one of these people figure his race out or eat some powerful devil fruit they would come back to bite him in the ass. Abel didn't want this to happen so he started cleaning. After the marines left, only Merry, Usopp and Nami was left next to him. He turned to Merry.

'' Bring me to Kuro.''

'' Yes.''

After 10 minutes Merry led Abel to an abondoned storage room in the mansion. Kuro who was tied up looked at Abel with eyes full of hatred. He opened his mouth and sneered.

'' Ghost... Even if it is the last thing I do, I will make you pay. I will never rest until you are a real ghost!'' Kuro screamed hatefully.

Abel sighed as he sat in front of him.

'' I know... So, it is time for you to die.'' Abel broke Kuro's neck without any change in his expression. He looked at Merry's terrified face and ordered casually.

'' Clean up.''
