Although the swamp alligators would be hard to deal with, it would be far easier to hunt them down compared to trying to hunt for monsters in a place filled to the brim with powerful humans. Especially considering that there seemed to be an endless stream of new humans travelling down from the spiral staircase piercing the sky above and into the settlement located at the base of the spiral staircase.
