Waking up again after what felt like a long nap, Scaly rolled around the small space inside the hole for a few seconds before getting up. Not taking long to discover that the wound left behind by the large cloud nest bird had already disappeared.

Hehe, now I can start hunting for monsters again!

Smirking happily after this realization, Scaly wasted no time as she pushed aside the small stones blocking the entrance to the small hole before she rushed back down towards the beach of the island to search for more powerful monsters to kill-

Unfortunately, just when she was about to try and search for more powerful monsters, she ended up face to face with a sun crab.

As her body moved on its own to kill the sun crab, Scaly only hesitated for a fraction of a second before biting into the sun crab. Consuming the entire crab in only a few bites before she lifted her head with a satisfied expression plastered all over her small face.

However, the moment she lifted her head, she discovered that there were close to a dozen sun crabs lazily moving around in the sand no more than a few meters away from her.

No! I have to fight the temptations!

Doing her absolute best to stop herself from running over to enjoy another feast, Scaly reluctantly turned around and made her way away from the beach with the spiral staircase and instead decided to go somewhere else to search for more powerful monsters.

If she continued staying around the spiral staircase where the sun crabs were plentiful, she feared that she would never be able to get anything done before she drove the sun crabs living on the beach extinct.

Although… Considering that she was currently inside a dungeon, something like that would never happen. Meaning that she might end up stuck at the beach until she grew tired of eating the sun crabs-

Barely managing to convince herself of how bad it was for her to continue staying on the beach covered in sun crabs, Scaly came face to face with another crab monster…

[Description: A crab made of stone and tastes like stone. Nothing special outside of the fact that they look like small moving rocks. Often found in mountains.]

If not for the fact that the description of the stone crab in front of her clearly stated that the stone crab wasn't delicious and instead just tasted like a stone, she might have felt tempted to try and see if it was as delicious as the sun crab.

Killing the stone crab to see how much exp she would get, Scaly was disappointed that it wasn't even the slightest bit different from the sun crabs. The only difference between the two outside of taste was that the stone crabs required for more strength to kill, as they were essentially as hard as the stones and rocks that they looked like.

With this in mind, they weren't even worth the trouble of killing, as she would end up using far more power to kill them and end up exhausting herself before she even had the chance to encounter a decently powerful monster that could help increase her strength.

In the end, she decided to ignore the stone crabs that were present everywhere on the mountains that covered the small mountains as she continued to search for a stronger monster to fight and increase her level…

NOTHING! WHY IS THERE NO MONSTERS OTHER THAN CRABS ON THIS ISLAND!?

However, after searching the entire island for over two hours without finding a single monster that wasn't a crab below the level of six, Scaly could not help screaming in frustration inside her head as she crushed a passing stone crab in her anger.

Even though she understood that she could go to other islands and try to hunt some of the monsters that the humans were hunting, she also understood that doing so would inevitably end up landing her in a possible fight with the humans, something she wanted to avoid after seeing how the humans always came swarming whenever one of them were in danger.

Outside of that, there was also the fact that she had no idea how to swim. Making it close to impossible for her to reach any of the surrounding islands without the help of some of the wooden things that the humans used to travel between the islands and to hunt down powerful monsters below the surface of the water.

After all, even though she might have known how to swim before her reincarnation, she had absolutely no clue how to swim as a lizard…

As she was contemplating whether or not to begin learning how to swim on her own, Scaly suddenly spotted one of the larger wooden floating things used by the humans crashing into the beach filled with the sun crabs before a group of humans descended on the place and began catching all of the sun crabs and bringing them back on to the wooden thing.

This… This might be an opportunity…

Feeling like an opportunity to leave the desolate crab island had appeared, Scaly wasted no time as she rushed down from the mountain towards the beach with the spiral staircase and sun crabs. Not intending to let the humans leave together with her only chance to leave the island.

Although she could remain on the island until she learnt how to swim on her own, she had no idea how long it would take. Not to mention, even if she learnt how to swim, she had no idea how to fight in the water… And considering the massive monsters she had seen the humans fighting on the sea, she wanted to avoid fighting in the water if possible…
