9 Chapter 9.

Sitting down next to Lily, he crossed his legs while taking the remote from her. "Hey! I was watching that! Give it back!" She tried taking it back, but couldn't as the remote was in his left hand as she was sitting on his right.

His longer arms also helped in this. "You've been watching this all morning. How about you show me what you've learned in the past years?" She bit her lip while pulling her hand back.

'She's not confident in her cooking. Even though she takes lessons from some of the best, she still manages to think her food is mediocre..'

"A-Are you gonna hate it?" He placed his hand on her head and leaned forward. Their foreheads connected followed by a smile appearing on his face.

"Why would I hate it, Lily? As long as you try and as long as you're confident, you'll succeed. There's no need to worry when you do that, is there?" Lily pushed him away and covered her face. "Y-Yeah, you're right.." Her cheeks were beet red as Nolan looked back at the tv.

"Always be confident, Lily. You're a kent for christ sake. Our family is known for being strong willed and hearted. Though, you know that already, don't you?" She got up with a nod. She now seemed more motivated which made Nolan proud.

"I-I'll be right back!" And with that, she went to the kitchen to start cooking. Nolan had turned it to a news channel which showed that a group of people managed to rob a store and get away with it. Their deemed to be armed and dangerous and are to be avoided at all cost.

'I'll leave this one to the cops. I'm enjoying my day off..' He sighed while turning the channel. On this program was the hero, All Might, who was giving an interview while doing a podcast. 'See now that man...that man is the closest person to being superman in this world.

He's powerful and is also known as a symbol of peace and justice. Must. Be. Nice.' As he thought that, the doorbell had rung. "I'll get it.." He said while getting up and halting Lily from answering. He then walked over to the door and opened it.

"Nolan!" They jumped onto him to which he caught and held out. "Haru? What are you doing here?" Haru had white hair followed by wide light pink eyes. He wasn't any older than 6 and like stated before, very feminine even though he was a guy.

"I wanted to see you of course!" He forced his head into Nolan's chest and purred. 'Ah, I forgot to say that Haru...is a cat..' On his head was two white cat like ears. He had a white tail as well and sharp nails.

'He's closer to me than he is to own parents. The reason for this is because I used to baby sit him like almost everyday.' Him being part cat was what lead to him to be so close with Nolan. "You wanted to see me, huh? How sweet.."

He patted his back while closing the door. "Hey, Lily, Haru's here. Cook an extra big meal for us, okay?" Lily looked up and upon resting her eyes on Haru, she 'tsked'. Haru had did the same when he saw her, even going as far as hissing.

They exhibited an fighting aura on each other, Lily having that of God with a frying pan while Haru had a figure which resembled Nolan. "Hmp! I'll think about it!" She retorted while looking away. "I don't want your food anyways! It stinks!"

Haru stuck his tounge out at her while Nolan sighed. "I-It does not!" And like that, they went back and forth. "It does!" "Does not!" and so on. Nolan sat down on the couch while Haru made himself comfortable and sat on his lap. "So, Haru, I heard you're about to start school. Make lots of friends, okay?"

"Y-Yes! I'll make lots of friends and...and...I'll have a lot of girlfriend! That's...the most important thing, right..?" Placing his hand on top of Haru's head, Nolan smiled while giving a thumbs up.

"Absolutely! Getting one now is perfect because you can mold them to your liking! Smart, huh?" Haru rapidly shook his head as he took such wise notes. 'If mom heard this, she'd kill me. Yes, she'd manage to do it somehow..'

"I-Is that how you and Diana..?" Nolan snapped out thought and looked down at Haru. "Hmm... No, it actually isn't to be honest. In fact, I kept my distance from her in the beginning just to make sure I wasn't seeing things when she was 'coming onto me'."

"Oooo..." He shook his head while saying, 'I see..' Then out of no where, Nolan started pinching Haru's cheeks which caused him to groan. "Don't make the same mistake as me though. If a girl stutters once in your presence, then that automatically means she likes you.

Remember, you're very cute, Haru. Not only should you use it as an advantage, but girls will flock to you without you even trying!"

Haru was officially writing things down now. 'S-Such wise words from Master... This is rare!' Nolan checked his watch and noticed that only half an hour had passed.

"Well, anyways, just have fun, okay? And if you make good grades, I'll fly you to wherever you want. Sounds like a deal?"

Haru looked up and saw that Nolan had his finger over his mouth while winking. "R-Really..?" Nolan nodded which brightened his expression even more. "Okay! I'll promise you as well! I'll get the beautiful women and good grades!"

Nolan liked to hear this. 'He's like a little brother. With Lily, I always had to be protective. I limited her in a way. With Haru however, I can plant my seed in him....

Pause.

Not like that. I mean ideals. Yeah, ideals. Ah, where was I going with this again?' He shrugged it off as Lily finished her meal of eggs and bacon. Haru waited on the couch while Nolan made his way over to eat it. "P-Please enjoy.." She cowered off to her room to 'pack her clothes'.

'After this, I'll go ahead and meet with the others. Maybe I'll invite Haru out since I probably won't see him as often anymore..' And like that, he started eating. The food was perfectly cooked with the right amount of everything.

If Nolan had to critique anything however, it would be the presentation. It looked horrendous. 'Still slaps though. Good job, Lily..' He got up while while whipping his face. Haru was peeking over the couch as his claws sunk into it. 'I-I'll learn to cook as well!'

"Hey, Haru. Wanna go out with me and the gang? We're just hangin' out for the day. The more, the merrier.." Haru snapped out of it as his tail started wagging.

"Y-Yes! I'll love too!" He never went out with the group before as his parents thought he was too young.

They also don't like Nolan so theres that. They only gave him the job of babysister because he was cheap and close by. "Okay. Let's go then.." He held his hand out and like a cat would, ran up to it and held it. Haru purred while rubbing his head on Nolan's leg.

And the chapter ended as they made their way to the elevator.
