Well, At least Someone is Having a Good Day.

"Hey, isn't that Phil?" While walking and trying to find a hotel to stay Sakura saw a familiar figure standing in the streets.

< It certainly is master. >

"Hey, Phil what are you doing here?" Sakura shouted across the streets.

Phil who was standing anxiously flinched at Sakura's shout. He looked towards Sakura and finally noticed her.

"Oh, Miss Sakura," Phil said crossing the streets. There was lingering awkwardness and hesitance in his tone.

"So, what are you doing here?" Sakura asked.

Hearing this Phil blushed a little. "I am waiting for someone." His blush got a little deep saying this.

'Waiting for someone?'

< It's most probably a date. master. > Astra interjected.

'Oh, ho!'

"Waiting for who?" Sakura asked.

Phills blush intensified. "I...I am waiting for Aeolia."

'Wow, that encounter escalated to a date.' Sakura couldn't believe that act could lead so far into a date. Truthfully Sakura could have told the truth to the girl, but Sakura felt Phil was a good person, and besides Aeolia wouldn't believe her in the first place.

After asking about the date Sakura came to know that the chemistry between Phil and Aeolia has been going quite well. Phil was excited because it was his first date ever. And for Aeolia, she seemed a little too protective of Phil. Sakura could just hope things between them could work out.

Seems that Phil was a little worried about the situation in the city. But Aeolia didn't want to postpone the date.

'You know, I am worrying more about Phil rather than the girl. Aeolia might just be a yandere in disguise.'

< Master, is wise. >

'Pft, I was just joking!' Sakura chuckled.

Wishing Phil good luck on his date Sakura departed. At this point what Sakura could grasp about Phil was that he is a very straightforward person. He is that childish cringy energetic teenage boy that you would find in any high school. He doesn't think before doing things. And is just overall a very generic person.

"Anyway, where do I find an inn now?" Sakura strolled throw the city visiting the inns on the way. Most of them were either not taking reservations or were closed. This situation was turning out to be a pain in the head.

"What is the meaning of this!!!" Fredric shouted out of anger and threw the letter on the table.

It was a war invitation from Jester. The clown man from the Blood Messenger organization.

What Fredric couldn't understand was how this guy had the guts to challenge him. Till this point, Fredric had strictly maintained how many troops Jester could keep near his territory. There shouldn't be more than two hundred or so troops with him. Why is Jester challenging him without proper backup?

Fredric couldn't figure it out. He hasn't fought a war in his life. Maybe his father or grandfather did but he did not. But even with his shallow understanding of war, he could see the problem in Jester's war invitation.

Fredric sat down and tried to think what Jester could be planning. He might not be the most brilliant but he wasn't dumb either. Fredric again and aging read the letter trying to see what was the problem.

Suddenly he noticed something. "Hm?" He flipped the letter and there was a text on the other side.

There was a sentence written there.

"After killing your son it will be your turn." It was written in red ink.

Upon seeing the text Fredric's face went dark. 'So, it was you who sent that little girl to kill my son!' He thought. It was clear to him now. Why would a prodigal little girl who can defeat the head butler and the guards kill his son? Fredric concluded that Sakura was sent by the blood messengers to assassinate his son.

He felt an indescribable rage in his heart.

"Jeeesssssterrrrr!!!!!!!" He shouted at the top of his lungs with a face full of bloodlust.

"Achoo!!!" Sakura sneezed.

< Are you alright, master? >

"Yeah, I am fine. Is that cinnamon? " Sakura looked at the brown tree bark-looking things which were protruding a strong smell of cinnamon.

< It might be. >

Sakura wasn't really familiar with clinamen as she didn't like them. But to see it in another world was kinda weird.

"Anyway, what was I doing again?" Sakura went away from the stall selling cinnamon as she concentrated on the thing she was doing. The cinnamon was too high priced anyway.

Finding an inn.

So far she couldn't find a single one. It even looks like the situation is getting worse as the day continues. The mass panic was getting kinda out of hand and the people were starting to leave the city. it has to be considered that it took just a single day to escalate from a rumor to a full panic. The stores were shut. Those who are still in business were selling things at a really high price. All in all, things aren't looking good.

According to Astra conflicts like this can become a full-blown war if not handled carefully. Sakura didn't have any idea about how all this works and she didn't have any interest in it as well.

"Argh! Why now, can't they have mass panic after I am gone?" Sakura was frustrated not finding a place to stay. She hated this conflict that arose out of nowhere.

"Astra what should I do now?" she asked frustrated.

< How about buying a house, master? > Astra suggested.

'Yeah, but I am underaged. And I don't have any identification papers as a native citizen.'

< Age restriction laws don't apply here, as for the identity documentation, you can just forge it in the system. >

'You sure nothing will go wrong?'

< I am pretty sure master. There's no internet here. So, the documents are verified with seals. The system can create identical seals and legitimate documents for you. And it doesn't cost that much EP. >

'Well, I will give it a try, if you say so.' Sakura sighed. In her previous life her father one time bought land in the countryside. He had planned to make a house and move there after retirement. And Sakura had witnessed the grueling process of buying land. It wasn't easy. It took her father around two weeks to fully own the land. In that time her father would go back and forth with the lawyer.

This left an impression in Sakura's mind that owning land was hard. Not to mention you have to pay taxes every year.

Simply put, it was a hassle.

But Sakura decided to try it since there wasn't much she could do.
