6 4. Killing something for the first time

As Xiu Ying and Hua talked, a third person walked towards them, limping from the sprain of their ankle
Hui who was searching for his sister while suffering from his previous injuries froze in shock as he saw his sister talking with the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. Now don't get him wrong, for Hui who usually travels a lot with his father, he has seen many different people ranging from horrendously ugly to breathtakingly beautiful but this unknown woman his sister is talking to is the most beautiful he has ever seen
Even the supposed beauties from the places he visited fails in comparison to this unknown woman
The howls from the silver back wolfs immediately brought him back from his daydreaming
[]Oh great we have blockhead of a person over here[]
"What?" Xiu Ying unconsciously said after hearing the bird
"What?" Hua followed confused
[]Oh yeah your the only person that can hear me. We can talk through our minds but we're not there yet[]
Hui walked or limped towards them while looking at Xiu Ying like a drunkard looking at a wine
[]Oh yeah i forgot to mention kitsune's are widely known for their beautiful and good looking appearances, one of the reasons why i wanted to teach you how to fight. Anyway this guy looks like a family member of that little girl[]
"Why is he looking at me like that?" Xiu Ying asked in a whisper
[]I dunno it's probably kitsune charm, kitsune's usually seduce people in those folklores[]
"A-ah hi my name is-"
Just as Shi Hui was about to introduce himself a silver back wolf appeared charging towards them
[]All right show me what you learned and burn that son of a wolf[]
Xiu Ying's tails wiggled as multiple fox fires we're summoned. Xiu Ying's fox fires flew towards the charging beast, as some of them disappeared due to lost of focus, many of the fox fires actually missed and only one managed to hit the wolf causing it to yelp and cry as half of it's face got burned off
Xiu Ying cringed after seeing this, as this is the first time she took a life in both of her life times
More fox fires were summoned and Xiu Ying ordered them to finish off the wolf, some of the fox fires missed but enough of them managed to hit the wolf causing it's demise
"H-how?" Hui mumbled under his breath after seeing her take care of the silver back wolf like it was nothing
"*sniffles* Take that ya big meanie" Hua said while hugging her brothers pants
[]You are advised to flee this place, silver back wolves usually hunt in packs. This one is probably a young one and strayed too far from the group to eat the siblings[]
"Uh do you know any place we can go?" Xiu Ying asked the siblings
"Oh uh from what i remember my father said the village we were supposed to deliver the goods to isn't that far" Hui said
"How far exactly?" Xiu Ying asked
"W-well i don't know but it can't be that far" Hui said while scratching his nape
"Dad said there were lots of flowers!" Hua said excitedly while raising both of her arms
"E-erm" Hui said uncomfortably
"Well what are we waiting for? Let's go before night sets in" Xiu Ying said
[(Point of view change to destroyed caravan)]
The smell of death littered the air as the silver back wolves feasted on the remains of the dead travelers
A unknown person wearing a cloak with a smaller person beside them stood a good distance away from the carnage, the taller person can be seen petting a wolf considerably larger than the rest
"Little Baihe, one of the wolfs seems to be missing" The larger person said while patting the wolf
"Huh but master, i thought i already called them all?" The little person now named Baihe replied
The taller person seems to think for a second before looking at Baihe
"*sigh* Younglings tend to be more adventurous than their older counterparts. Nevertheless send a couple of wolves to find the lost wolf, it's probably lost or something"
"Yes master"
"How many times do i have to tell you. We're on the same rank now there's no need to call me master"
"Force of habit"
Baihe then faced the iron wolf pack as they looked at him, then seemingly without a word said a couple of wolves paired up and left
[(Time skip with point of view changed to Xiu Ying's)]
Xiu Ying can be seen walking near a stream while carrying a sleeping Hua with Hui on tow
"Excuse me miss but i don't think i know your name yet?" Hui said trying to start a conversation
"My name is Li Xiu Ying" Xiu Ying said nonchalantly
"A-ah a beautiful name fitting for a beautiful maiden" Hui said with a blush
"Flattery will get you nowhere" Xiu Ying replied
'I might be in a woman's body now but that doesn't mean i like men now! I still like women!' Xiu Ying said in her thoughts
[] Isn't that what those characters say before turning gay? I mean i read a lot of yuri before and they usually say they're not gay before turning gay[] the bird said while looking at Xiu Ying from a tree
'Then i will be the first person to not turn gay after saying that' Xiu Ying thought with determination
[]I mean technically your a girl now so...[]
'Bloody ell'
[]Also congrats you unknowingly managed to talk with our minds[]
'Nice!'
While Xiu Ying had a whole conversation inside her head Shi Hui wondered why Xiu Ying's expression is changing for no reason
