2 1. Reincarnation?

A guy can be seen walking through the street while checking his phone when a notification suddenly appeared on his phone

"A cultivation game?" He muttered while checking the content of the notification

'I don't remember signing up for this game?'

As he looks at the notification he decides to check out the game itself and finds it very interesting and decided to download the app

After the game finished downloading he starts the app and a message popped up

Beneath the message it showed a very beautiful kitsune lady and a bird perching on her index finger

That was when he randomly tripped in the middle of a crosswalk and touched the accept button

"Oh s***" He muttered as he looked at how much money he accidentally spent

While he was busy looking at his phone, he didn't realize that a truck was heading directly at him until it started honking while trying to get out of his path

Unfortunately it rained earlier and the road was still slippery, so the truck failed to stop as it ran over the poor guy, painting the road red

A beautiful woman resembling the kitsune earlier on the phone slowly woke up in a clearing as she looks around her with a dumbfounded expression

"Where am i?" She muttered to herself with her brows scrunched up as she put her hand to her chin

"Wait who's voice is that?" she asked as she looked around

A dumbfounded expression appeared on her face again as she brought up her hand to her face

"Wait, what the- whose hand is this?!"

With a panicked look plastered across her face, she begun looking all over her body

'Why do i have boobs?! Where am i?! What's with this clothing and voice?!'

While she proceeded to panic a chinese hwamei proceeded to fly down beside her while looking at the panicking girl

[]Hey over here![]

"Who said that?"

[]Down here![]

The woman looked around until she finds the bird

[]Yes i'm the bird[]

The woman looked at the bird with her mouth open in shock

"But how?"

[]By talking telepathically of course. I mean this bird isn't really fit to have conversations with hum-[]

"Wait wait wait wait wait, can you hold on a second and tell me what's going on here first?!"

[]I was about to do that[]

The bird flew up and perched itself on the shoulder of the woman

[]You have been reincarnated[]

"W-what?" The woman mumbled in disbelief

[]You see one of the higher being in the universe wanted to try being a human[]

"What's that got to do with me. Wait, don't tell me he stole my body or something!?"

[]It's not like that at all![] The bird quickly interjected

[]If he would've wanted a vessel there's hundreds of better ones than you![] The bird pecked the woman on the cheek causing her to push him off

[]He was the guy recklessly driving the truck and the court of higher beings decided that reincarnating you into another world would be a good enough compensation[]

The bird proceeded to fly and perch itself on the head of the woman

[]It was also decided to reincarnate you based on your last activity in your phone[]

While the woman tried to digest what she just heard the bird simply preened itself

"Wait, wait, wait, why can't i remember some of my memories?"

"What why!?"

[]It would've been quite a hassle if you stuck yourself to your previous life by endlessly complaining how you were previously a man and that your identity is your past self and not your current one[]

"That still doesn't give you the right to take some of my memory off!" The woman angrily said before grabbing the bird and throwing it

The bird proceeded to shrug it off and flew above the head of the woman

[]Hey don't blame me i'm not the one in charge. Also we only removed the ones that will stop you from accepting your new life here[]

The woman was seething as the bird landed on a nearby branch of a tree where it preened

[]By the way i guess you'll need a new name now[]

The woman calmed herself down and looked at her body before sighing

"I don't even know where we are"

[]We're somewhere in a place similar to china so a chinese name should do it[]

The woman put her hand in her head trying to think of one only to end up with nothing

[]How about Li Xiu Ying?[]

"Huh?"

[]Li Xiu Ying, Li is the surname while Xiu Ying is the name[]

The woman stares at the bird with caution

[]Hey don't look at me like that! I just thought about it ok![]

"Yeah sure..."

[]Peh! Just take the name! We have other things to do[] The bird said before flying away

The woman sighs as she proceeded to stand up

'I guess there's no other way' Xiu Ying tried to get the dust off her skirt when she felt something fluffy

'Wait what?' Xiu Ying thought as she grabbed her tails

[]What are you doing now?[] The bird asked as it perched on a tree branch

"Nothing, just surprised that i have tails. By the way what do i look like?"

[]Your basically the kitsune lady from that cultivation game you played[]

"Huh?" While Xiu Ying tried to remember what the lady looked like or where she's from, the bird flew down to her head and touched her ears

[]You know that cultivation game where you paid to get the kitsune pack, look you even have ears[]

Xiu Ying swatted the bird away as it flew in front of her

[]Are you done? Because we need to do some things before leaving and i don't know about you but it's pretty dangerous being in a cultivation world without a weapon[]

The bird flew as it guided Xiu Ying out of the clearing

Xiu Ying followed the bird towards the start of her new life at a different world

Xiu Ying: Well i mean i didn't really have that much going on for me, nor did i have any attachment to anything there

The bird: Wow that's a s*** character backstory if i ever heard one

Xiu Ying: Hey it's not my fault i was born normal ok

The bird: Yeah yeah don't worry there's still room for character development

Xiu Ying: Character what-?

The bird: Oh no look a distraction!

Xiu Ying: Where!?
