Chapter 4 Foxy

“Ahhh!”

“Master! What’s wrong?” Garren asked in surprised, thought that there might be someone attack her.

Master? Why would that dragon call her master? I know this dragon is no ordinary beast, and he is much stronger than her. Why would he call her ‘Master’? To top it all off, she’s a demon! The nine-tailed fox thought.

“Waaah, Garren! This is not my face! Waaah!” Zerha shouted as she touches her face with both hands.

“Ah Master, you got reincarnated, remember?” said Garren in a poker face look.

“Huh? Oh yeah, ha-ha-ha!” how could I forget? Zerha thought.

Garren merely gave his master a pitiful look.

This master of mine is somewhat stupid. Sigh. Garren said to himself.

Zerha looks at her face again in the reflection of her's in the water. “Wahaha! I still have a beautiful face! Waha!” She exclaimed. Long white hair with red highlights, pair of red crystal eyes, small pointed nose and a natural colored lips. Woah, this face is gorgeous, although my face from the past is beautiful as well, Zerha proudly thought.

The fox approached Garren and spoke in a low voice. “Hey, why did you call her Master? There’s no doubt that you are stronger than her. And reincarnated? What’s that mean?”

“She saved my life.” Garren answered, but didn't tell the Fox about the raincarnation thing.

“What? She’s a demon! Why did she save you?” And how did a demon entered this place?! I have been guarding the entrance of the cave since then but haven't seen her entered once, the fox thought in confused.

“She’s different from the others, and she’s more powerful than I am.”

“She’s a demon! You cannot trust her!” The fox got angry, why would the dragon wants to serve a demon like her? Demons are one of our enemies, the fox thought.

“I know.”

The fox didn't say anything and just keep silent. She started to observe Zerha's every action, even though the dragon trusted her, the fox is still cautious about her since she's a demon.

“Garren, let’s go! I want to leave this place. I can hear creepy noises.” said Zerha and feel chills over her body.

“Okay, Master!” Garren quickly turned into a small dragon and flew over to Zerha’s shoulder. They were about to leave when the fox called the dragon. “Wait! Do you want to leave the place? Who is going to protect this place? I’m sure the others will come and get all your treasures in here!”

“Ehhh? Garren, these are all yours? Why didn’t you say so? Here, I’ll give this back to you.” Zerha handed her backpack to Garren, though he refused to take it back.

“It’s all yours, Master. I give all my treasures to you.”

At Garren’s words, Zerha jumped in joy. “Yay!”

Garren was about to cast a spell to collect all of his treasures in the cave when the fox stopped him. “What are you doing? You protected the treasures on this cave from humans and demons for how many years! But now you’re just gonna give it to her?” I'm mad not because I want the valuables, but because she's a demon and I don't think they know each other for a long time and he will give the treasure to her just like that? The fox thought.

“Yes, I also want to leave this place. Do you want to come with us?” Garren asked.

He wants me to come with them? “As much as I want to leave this place, I can’t because this water is what keeps me alive.” The fox suddenly felt sad. I also wants to come with them so that I can observe if I can trust this demon, but this poison is killing me.

“What do you mean?” Garren asked in confusion.

“Humans! They poisoned me! Now I don’t know how much time I have left. This water only slows down the poison flowing in my body, but it didn’t make the poison disappear.”

Zerha heard what they were talking about and approached the fox. “What if Garren heals you? He has healing powers, right?” Zerha looked at Garren to confirm.

“ I'm sorry, Master, but I can only heal myfself.”

“Is that so? Then let me try to heal you.” Although I'm not quite sure if I can remove the poison from the fox by using healing powers. Zerha thought and walked up to the fox, who quickly took a step back.

“I would never trust a demon like you!” The fox growl at her.

Ouch! It really hates demons? I want that fox to become my pet! Its tail is so fluffy! I want to hug it! Ahem, I'm just crazy about something fluffy.

“You can trust her. If you still want to live, then trust her.” Garren said.

“Yes! Yes!” Zerha nodded vigorously.

The fox looked at Garren, who nodded at it encouragingly. The fox trusted the dragon, so it walked closer to Zerha, even though it was still doubting if Zerha could be trusted. Nice, I just hope it will work, Zerha placed both of her palms on the fox’s head and started to heal it. A bright light came out and vanished after Zerha removed her hands from the fox.

“How was it? Do you feel better already? Is the poison gone? Did it work?” Zerha felt nervous, because she wasn’t completely certain if she was able to remove the poison with her healing powers. But the fox suddenly froze and spit something out.

“Waaah! What is that? Are you okay?” She asked in surprised.

“It looks like she spit out the poison! You did it, Master.” Garren said amusingly.

“I’m glad I did it.” Woah, I can't believe I'm doing something impossible in this world, she thought.

All the doubts the fox was feeling about Zerha are gone after she heal her, and suddenly the fox desire to become her guardian. “Please let me be your guardian, too, Master.” The fox bowed to Zerha. I don’t know why, but I felt something about her. The fact that she can use healing powers that usually demons don't have, she must be different from the other demons. Is this the reason the dragon wanted to become her guardian? The fox thought.

“What’s your name?” Zerha asked.

“We beasts don’t have names,” the fox said.

“I see. So can I name you? Are you male?”

“I’m a female.”

“Okay, then. Your name will be Foxy!”

“F-Foxy?” The fox got surprise since the name ‘Foxy' is too obvious for a name to a fox.

“You don’t like it?” Zerha suddenly feels down.

“I like it, Master. Thank you.” I don't have a reason to be picky about names, I'm still glad someone named me.

“Okay, then. Let’s go!” Zerha shouted and started to walk, but Garren stopped her. “Wait, Master.” Garren cast a spell, and suddenly all the rare treasures in the cave moved towards him. “This is all yours, Master.”

Zerha’s eyes sparkled with joy. “Waaah! Really, Garren? I hope all of these will fit inside my bag. This backpack is almost full.

Huhuhu my dear treasures.” She feels sad with thought that she can't bring all the treasures.

“I can make you storage item, Master,” the fox suddenly said.

“Waaah! Really?” Ah, but what's a storage item?

“Yes, but I need some of your treasures to make it.”

Zerha nodded at her, and the fox began making the storage item. Materials were flying

towards the fox’s paw and slowly formed into a ring. “It’s done, Master.” Foxy gave the ring to Zerha.

“Eh? It’s a ring? How can I put all the treasures here?” Is she joking? I thought she's making a big bag or something, but a ring? How could the treasures fit inside the ring?

“Wear it, Master. I put an enchantment on that. Every time you want to collect treasures or materials, it will automatically activate it. Just point the ring on the things you want to stored.”

“Try it, Master!” Garren said excitedly.

Zerha nodded and pointed with her index finger which she put the ring. Suddenly all the rare materials and treasures were stored inside the ring.

“F**k! This world really is magical! This ring is so cool!" Zerha exclaimed in excitement. Foxy is amazing, she can make magical things! But...“... how can I take them out?” She asked.

“Try to double-tap the diamond, Master.”

This ring looks like a wedding ring, Zerha thought. Zerha tapped the ring twice, and something popped up.

What the hell? It’s like a game interface! You can see the items inside this ring! Foxy is really amazing! “Waaah, Foxy! You are so cool! Thank you!”

“Ha, I’m good at that!” Foxy replied proudly.

“Okay, since we are done here. Let’s go!” Zerha said.

The trio started to make their way towards the exit. As they headed out, Zerha took a deep breath upon seeing the scenery outside the cave. “Wow! The view is so beautiful. It seems so peaceful.”

Both Garren and Foxy merely faked a smile at Zerha’s words. P-peaceful? This place is far from the word peaceful, the two thought.

“Hm? Is something wrong?” Zerha asked when she noticed their reaction.

“A-ha-ha nothing, Master,” Garren and Foxy answered in unison.

“Where do you want to go, Master?” Garren asked.

Oh yeah, I didn’t think of that earlier. Since I already got reincarnated in this world, I should find a place to stay. “We should find a place to stay first."

“There are three options. The Haria Kingdom, the Demon Kingdom, and the Beast Kingdom. Maybe you should choose the Demon Kingdom, Master, since you are a demon.” Garren

explained.

“But how about us? Demons and Beasts are not on good terms!” Foxy said.

“We also can’t enter the Beast Kingdom, because Master is a demon,” Garren replied.

“How about the Haira Kingdom? What kind of kingdom is that?” Zerha asked.

“The Kingdom of Haria is where humans live. But you can’t go in there either, Master, because they are demon hunters. They possess some magical powers; that’s why they can defeat demons and beasts. But whatever you choose, you don’t have to worry, because whoever dares to harm you, we will kill them, Master!” Garren declared, wearing a serious expression.

“Yes! You can count on us, Master!” Foxy chimed in.

I don’t want to cause trouble! And why the hell are the three kingdoms not on good terms?

“Do you have some ability to---“ Zerha stopped mid-sentence when they heard something.

“What was that?” Zerha asked.

“Looks like someone is fighting,” Garren answered.

“We should leave, Mas---“ Foxy didn’t finish her sentence when somebody suddenly crashed into a tree.

“UGH!”

The trio looked at the person who crashed into the tree in front of them.

“Is that...angel?!” Zerha shouted in surprise.
