“So what do you want me to do now?” Zerha asked the soul.
“Of course, the first thing to do is to become more powerful!” The soul declared.
“What I mean is, what is the first step in getting stronger?”
“Oh, ehem… When you say the first step, hm… Perhaps you need to defeat a strong human first. If you successfully defeat them, we will find more humans that are more powerful than the first one!” Zerha was shocked at these words. Is she insane? It was the first time that the demon queen would be teaching someone how to become more powerful. Since it was her first time, she did not know what the first step to making someone strong was. The demon queen merely frowned and did not say anything.
“I-if you refuse to make that promise, I will not help you get your revenge! And if you kill me, we don’t know if you would be able to find another demon like me.”
“There are numerous demons that I can possess or command, though. But since I am already in this body, why do I need to find another? That is just too troublesome.” The demon queen
sighed. “Just spit it out.”
“W-we are at the Haria Kingdom…”
“What?!” The soul shouted.
I’m doomed. Zerha began trembling more.
“Wait, what is the Haria Kingdom?”
“Huh?” Zerha was stupefied. What? Doesn’t she know that the Haria Kingdom is the place where humans live? “Haria Kingdom is where the h-humans live…”
“Did you say, humans? Why are you here? Huh? Oh wait, are you planning to attack some of the humans and consume their souls?” You are such a cocky demon. Do you think you can defeat them? The demon queen thought.
“Of course not!”
“Huh? Calm down. If not, why are you here, then? So this room you are staying in is for humans? How did you get in here? If they spot a demon like you, they will attack you immediately, am I not right?”
“Ah, yes. I’m in human form right now.”
“Are you messing with me?”
“N-no. Y-you said that you can see whatever I see, right? I will look at myself in the mirror so that you will believe me.” Zerha quickly walked to the mirror and looked at her reflection.
The demon queen was shocked by what she saw. She is not lying. She never thought that a demon could turn into a human. She was confused about how Zerha managed to do such a
thing. “You. How did you do it? Or perhaps you are a human?” The demon queen suddenly grew cautious. Zerha felt shivers run down her spine at the sound of the demon queen’s cold voice.
“I-I’m a demon.” I’m just a human in my past life, though. “One of my friends turned me into a human so that we could stay here at the Haria Kingdom. Please don’t attack any of my friends or humans that we will see. Or else I will no longer help you get your revenge! Or maybe I’ll be the one to consume your soul!” Zerha said that, though she was not very confident that she was capable of consuming the soul of the demon queen.
“You, a weak demon, dare threaten me?”
Zerha started sweating profusely. She could feel the demon queen’s dark aura at that moment.
If she is a demon, then why does she look like a human when I saw her soul earlier? It does not have any demon horns, though I was certain about her being a demon when she touched her horn that day at the cave. Hmm… There is something wrong. But never mind, I am too lazy to think about that. The demon queen thought. She sighed. “Fine. I will not attack any of them…” But it depends. If I see a human that suits my taste, of course, I will devour them.
After hearing this remark, Zerha’s face brightened, and she began to think that the demon queen was not that awful.
“Tsk. Let’s go. Tour me around the Haria Kingdom. Ah no. Let us go to the Demon Kingdom.”
“What?!”
“What is it again?”
“Ah, nothing…” Initially, Zerha was shocked by the demon queen’s order to take them to the Demon Kingdom. She didn’t want to encounter more demons, though at the same time she thought that perhaps it would be a good thing to go to the Demon Kingdom since she was planning to find the demon queen’s original body.
“Then what are we waiting for? Let’s go to the Demon Kingdom! I wonder what that kingdom looks like now.”
“Okay. But don’t forget your promise, that you won’t attack any humans, especially my friends!”
“Yeah, yeah. Just go already.” Why would I attack her friends? If they are good demons, I won’t lay a finger on them.
As Zerha opened the door, she saw Sage standing outside. She was startled upon seeing him. She forgot that he was outside the door and wondered if he overheard the conversation that she had with the demon queen. “S-Sage.”
“Milady, are you going somewhere? Please allow me to accompany you.”
When she noticed that Sage was not behaving unusually, Zerha thought that he didn’t hear anything. But she was also confused as to how he was not able to hear anything coming from the room when he was standing right outside the door. “Did you not hear anything inside the room?”
Sage frowned. “I apologize, Milady. I did not hear anything. Did someone attack or threaten you? Where is he?” He asked as he suddenly emit a killing intent.
“N-no. Just forget I asked anything.” Sage is scary when he’s being serious. Zerha gulped.
When the demon queen saw Sage, she suddenly noticed how powerful he was. She could feel strong dark magic coming from him. “Hey, weak demon. Is that boy a demon as well?” The demon queen asked.
“Yes.”
“Huh?” Sage asked.
“Nothing! Where are the others?”
“Perhaps they are still in the living room, Milady.”
They walked downstairs and headed to the living room. As they arrived there, they saw Ecanus and Garren beating each other while Foxy was watching them with a distressed look.
“I’ll be going somewhere---" Ecanus and Garren suddenly stopped fighting upon hearing Zerha’s voice.
“Where?” They asked in unison. Before answering their question, Zerha looked around the living room to see if there was anyone else around. When she saw no one, she spoke up. “I’m going to the Demon Kingdom.”
“What? Why would you go there, Master?” Garren asked.
“I-I need to check on something…”
“Then let us come with you, Master,” Foxy said.
“What? No, you can’t!” Zerha shouted. They are beasts, and as far as I remember, they have told me that beasts and demons are enemies.
“Why?” Garren asked.
“You know why.”
Garren suddenly remembered that they were beasts. They couldn’t enter the Demon Kingdom without being attacked.
“Then let me go with you!”
“Ah, especially you, Ecanus…” He is an angel. Even if he comes with me in human form, they will still attack him. Zerha also remembered how weak Ecanus was at that moment.
“Hey, weak angel. Can’t you just change our appearances to make us look like demons?” Garren asked.

“When will you be back?” Ecanus suddenly asked.
“Oh? Haha, are you going to miss me, Ecanus?” Zerha asked teasingly.
Ecanus was startled by this question, and suddenly his face turned red. “W-what? I’m just asking!” Ecanus fumed.
Zerha laughed. “I’m just joking. I don’t know when I’ll be back. Oh wait, where is the Demon Kingdom, by the way?” Come to think of it, I need to tour the demon queen around the Demon Kingdom, but I don’t even know where the Demon Kingdom is. I don’t know the names of the places inside the Demon Kingdom either!
“What? You don’t know where the Demon Kingdom is? Pffft, hahaha! How could a demon like you not know where your own home is?” Ecanus laughed.
While listening to their conversations, the demon queen was confused as, to why Zerha didn’t know where the Demon Kingdom was situated. She suddenly felt suspicious of Zerha.
“Do not worry, Milady. I know where it is.” Sage said.
“Oh okay, then. Let’s go.” Zerha sighed in relief.

The two of them left and walked through the public market of the Haria Kingdom. Zerha noticed a poster of a familiar face posted at one of the stalls. She walked over to take a closer look and was shocked by what she saw.
W-what is this? Isn’t this me in my demon form? She thought in shock.
“Milady, I am afraid that there are posters of you all over the land of Haria.” Sage and Zerha looked around and saw that there were many posters posted everywhere.
What the f*ck? I became a wanted demon?!
