Chapter 46: Beast Horde (2)

It's the next day and I've heard about a beast horde approaching this city from Hong Yu, it seems when the city lord heard of this he immediately he called a meeting with all sects and clans in the city.

Right now him and almost every cultivator in the city are going to intercept the beast which is two days away. Other cultivators will be joining as well, normally those who wants to get some martial beast cores to sell.

This is also a good chance to capture some live specimens along with gaining some more martial beast cores to make some more weapons.

But I'll need a new face and weapon and to upgrade the formations in my inventory to increase storage space.

Right now I'm in the plains south to the city, up ahead is currently a huge amount of Martial beast heading towards the city.

My appearance right now is tall young man at least 5'10 with a muscular body, tan skin, short brownish-black hair and lime green eyes. I was currently wearing a black and red robe's had to fit in somehow.

"The city's defense should be here in about a three to four hours." I said as I look back, it took a while to change my body like this especially with changing the colour of the light was a pain in the ass.

I eventually just used a formation to keep it together, it's too much trouble multi-tasking so many colours especially certain details, especially in a fight, I'll need to buy the transformation jutsu when I go home.

"Alright then let's start." Raising my hand I create a gigantic formation to which lightning clouds started appearing.

And no I'm not using Kirin. Though soon Lightning clouds started raining down however instead of hitting the land below it bended and flew towards the formation.

Soon multiple formation circles formed underneath it, more forming as Lightning flowed down into hand.

Soon the lightning formed into spear like weapon. "Good it seems my calculations were correct."

What I've done is just use my runes to manipulate true lightning. Manipulating elements not created by your qi is hard to control except for earth, but lightning it's impossible, but with runes I'm able to kick that rule in the balls. Still though I won't be using this yet I need to capture a couple martial beast.

I won't be taming them like I did Fenrir. Reason why is because of the problems Beast Tamers face.

Beast Tamers are cultivators who tame martial beast, what they do is to tame a martial beast they try to make a deal with it, by giving into it's every need.

Some skilled beast tamers are able to earn the respect of their beast and walk side by side as equals. However if your beast isn't satisfied it can or will betray.

It's sort of a good thing I tamed Fenrir when he was a newborn. Though beast Tamers like the idiots they are normally try to go for a strong beast instead of steadily raising one from birth.

Well most don't.

Sighing I activated my sharingan though it couldn't be seen due to the hard light projection.

I then used a martial card called Volcano blade. Which created a literal blade of lava. Gripping both my new weapons, I dashed towards the beast horde.

Seeing me running towards them some of the martial beast didn't stop. They simply fired their attacks at me. I used my [Surfing Cloud Step] to dodge them and as I closed the distance I began hacking, slashing and stabbing my way through while also dodging using my foot work technique.

They couldn't even keep up, while attacking I didn't forget to store their corpses in my inventory.

While attacking a lion martial beast with golden fur, it shot a golden beam of energy at me but I dodged it. Multiple other martial beast then surrounded me and attacked me all at once.

My eyes trailed all over them trapping them in various genjutsu as I killed them all and stored their corpses.

While fighting them all a feeling of euphoria washed over me as I sliced through the large number of beasts. Unknowingly a smiled was etched onto my face as I kept killing martial beast.

Soon a Lightning blast from a tiger martial beast hit me in the back, but I didn't slow down I ran towards it and tried cutting off it's head with the lightning spear.

But the attack was blocked, fortunately the tiger still got damaged, so I attacked with the volcano blade charging it with flame martial qi enhancing it's power.

The martial beast tried blocking again but it lost it's arm instead. The tiger roared in pain as I killed it. It's blood covering my face.

I then returned to my killing spree.

With Hong Ji.

The city lord was worried and confused at the same time, just now he saw gigantic formation appear in the sky along with the weirdest lightning storm appearing in the same direction as the beast.

The other sects and clan elders wanted the same answers as he did so the army ran towards the location as fast as they could.

What they saw surprised them as all. As one man was completely fighting through the large numbers of martial beasts.

"Leio, Duan, Frog, Flower and Fan sects, secure the perimeter, hundreds of martial beasts are avoiding a direct battle with that stranger, so deal with them every one else kill as much of them as you can!" said the city lord dishing out orders.

It seems in his stupor Ken Hai forgot to secure the location of the battle.

I just received a blow from a martial master level beast. Staggering back I smiled as blood trailed down my lips. I was currently shirtless as blood rained down my body along with a number slash wounds burns and so on.

Haven't run into any ice type martial beast yet though. Guess it's due to them not being native to this region and it's not winter as of yet.

Infront of me stood bear with giant rocks jutting out it's arms and back it was atleast. Two times bigger than a grizzley bear which is which is 6-7 feet, so it's about fourteen feet.

Without a word I summoned a large number of runic circles around it and fired off a large number of elemental attacks at the creature, I took a while but I didn't stop until it dropped dead.

Feeling a tingling sensation at the back of my head I duck and dodge a spike made of earth which was thrown by monkey, I surrounded it with runic circles and killed it.

I think this enough, I took out a couple beast cubes which were alot smaller in size. They can adjust their sizes like a PokeBall.

I began throwing them at different martial beast. Capturing them as they teleported back to my lab.

Soon the other cultivators started arriving and after a couple of hours the martial beast started running away from the pack spreading out the horde.

"Youngster who are you?" asked an elderly man with long black hair and a thin mustache.

"Jun." I simply replied as I activated a formation under my feet and teleported home.

That day the name Jun spread throughout the Black Turtle continent.
