Iemis did not speak anything further to the lives that stood before him. A great number of things could have been asked but when faced with a god even the strongest being would find it hard to push for answers. If Iemis was a god level being in their world they all knew well he could end their lives easily if the decision arose.

What was Iemis exactly? They had never heard many rumors when it came to the eldest among the gods. To be more precise the group could not keep from wondering why the god before them would allow his temple to become forgotten ruins. Most gods cherished the thought of having their temples worshiped. The eldest god among history was different.

The temple that worshiped Iemis was beautiful; yet the god left it hidden deeply out of sight from the world.

The words only lasted briefly. Fading away like a mirage with his own message before their very eyes the presence of Iemis quickly left the room. Where he had stood a wide door could be seen in the distance behind a pillar.

"He said below right? That must lead below the temple." Leo was the first one to bring up the words Iemis had left them with.

"Are we even sure that we should be following the words of that man?" Zoe muttered under her breath as she looked away from the group. Feeling a bit uneasy at the situation with the temple they were in.

"Right now we don't have any better option. We would have gone down to look regardless.. so Just consider the fact that the god pointed us in that direction as a warning that it's probably not going to be easy to deal with him." Daryl gently placed his hand on Zoe's shoulder to calm her down. It was hard for someone to not be affected emotionally after being in such a situation.

"Who in their right mind would have thought things would be easy to deal with here?" Leo mumbled to himself as he trudged towards the doorway.

Vorbuk could hear the sounds of crackling and popping as he followed behind Leo. The sound reminded him of his previous life when someone would make popcorn over a stove. Further they went into the tunnel it became dark. Flashes of blue and purple lights would randomly flash along the wall like lightning.

"Did you hear something?" The princess whispered to Vorbuk who was in his wolf form. She could tell from the look on his face without him responding that he too had sensed something strange about the direction they were going.

"Who are you?" A small yet angry voice called out to them from the darkness.

"Who's there?" Leo called out towards the voice as he tried to see who was speaking to them.

"I asked first!" The voice shouted harshly back at Leo.

There was a sudden pause in the conversation between everyone. It was strange. They could all feel that something was not right.

As the lights flashed around them they could get a faint glimpse of the size of the person in front of them. It indeed fit the tone of the voice that was shouting at them when Daryl thought of it. He knew he had to get Leo's attention to inform him of what he'd noticed.

"... Leo." Daryl said to get his attention.

"It's a child?" Zoe spoke Daryl's thoughts about the voice before he had the chance. She could naturally see better then the others in the dark so it was not hard for her to realize the one in front of them was a young child. In her eyes the kid was adorable but at the same time she could see how pitiful a state he was in.

"What would a child be doing down here?" Leo thought out loud what they were all thinking.

For a child to be alone in the temple.. Something's not right here. He thought as he tried to carefully consider all aspects of the situation at hand. The only thing he could do would be to discreetly view the child's status window and see if there were any abnormalities. That was his only option because the child could be controlled by the one they were looking for.

In front of them a small child slowly stepped forward. His black hair was messy and his clothes looked as if he was a homeless child. A look of hate was deeply rooted in the child's red eyes. It was almost as if someone had abandoned the child in the temple.

Vorbuk's body trembled slightly as he felt something was strange about the child.

"Don't get close to that child." Bredret's voice was trembling as he glared down at the child. It was obvious that he felt uneasy about the child. Given his personality most would assume he just didn't like children. That was not the case for Bredret. He could feel something was missing from the child.

"What's wrong with you? It's a kid." Zoe glanced back at Bredret. She was actually not surprised to consider the idea that Bredret possibly disliked children.

"There is no life in that so called child. His body is made of mana from a god. Though he may be a child.. You could say he's the child version of one of the gods that has been placed here. Technically.. we are currently in contact with a part of another god's subconscious. It's basically a part of him that is acting on orders from the main body." Leo's eyes were pinned on the child. Using his ability to view the status of the child before him. It was simple for him to see that the child was not human.

Everything began to shake as the building was filled with sounds of rumbling. Blue lights bursting forth from cracks in the walls, floor, and even ceiling above.

"What's your name child?" Vorbuk shouted his question at the child as he morphed into his human form. Catching a tumbling Isis in his arms as he moved.

What's your name child? A question the child had heard once somewhere before.

"Yes.. He once asked the same thing.. Hah.. ha.. haha!" The child laughed to himself as he recalled the day clearly.

In only the time it took to blink the temple around them was gone and they had found themselves within the world of illusion that was built around the child's own memories. They could feel the large amounts of mana pressing down on their souls. It felt suffocating but enduring it was the only option they had if they were going to break free from the illusion they had just been pulled into.

"Lets play~" The child said to them with a bright smile on his face. "I love to play~"

BOOM!

A massive head burst forth from the ground below. It's eyes were empty and black as it's tongue flicked the air repeatedly. The snake was large enough that the child's small body did not hesitate to stand on top of the serpent's head as a mount. With its body a filthy hot iron stench could be smelt in the air as patches of fire burnt where missing body parts were.

"Does.. this kid plan to chase us with a large undead snake?" Leo asked sarcastically as he took a step back.

"Looks like it." Vorbuk responded.
