Reborn in the Pages: Rise of an Emperor
Erebus of Zephyria, a former king from the mighty Zephyria Empire and the most feared man in his world, was a warrior who valued both combat and the wisdom found in books. After exhausting all the literary works in his kingdom, a witch gifted him “The Return of the World’s Strongest Hunter,” a book set in a modern world, 200 years after a Holy War between angels and demons.
In this new world, the celestial mana of angels merged with Earth and humans, giving rise to hunters with extraordinary abilities. On the other hand, the corrupted mana of demons fused with a select group of inherently malevolent humans known as Djins.
Betrayed by his own brother and killed in battle, Erebus awoke in a world that wasn’t his own but felt strangely familiar. He reincarnated as a member of the Eclipse Clan, one of the three major clans dominating the hunter society in the modern world. However, to his surprise, he wasn’t a respected warrior as in his past life; instead, he was a failure, even despised within his own clan.
Now known as Eiji within the Eclipse Clan, Erebus looked around, recognizing the irony of his situation. “So, I, the great king of Zephyria, am reborn as an outcast in this new world,” he mused with a bitter smile. “But does it truly matter? I, who was once the most feared, will rise to the top again. I shall become the king of this world as well.”
