Reincarnated! The Blind and Deaf Boy

The boy never needed, never wanted anything with his life. He is unlike "normal people." Not that he knew what his life, nor what his world really was. He couldn't see, he knew not of beauty, nor of atrocities. He couldn't hear, he knew not of spite, nor words of tongue. He needn't think much, for he knew no words or images to think with. He only knew desire, sensations, and pain. What would he do when he had the ability to see, hear, and do much more than "normal people"? Would he even understand it?

'Uh... I think I broke Tyr,' I thought to myself, as Tyr began to foam at the mouth.

*

Tyr took in a deep breath, the calm of the ocean once again returning to her. The other teachers looked confused, but if they had seen Ruto's stats, who would blame her for such a reaction? Completely ignoring the existence of title's with stat modifiers attached, the kid even seems to gain 2 points for his stats every level. This is generally... well, it's unheard of at such a young age. Ruto's potential for growth is abnormal, to say the least.

"Do you have no common sense...?"

Tyr was struggling to make sense of such a genius. It takes those that pursue a more scholarly approach years of magical study since their childhood to reach level 100, gaining them base stats of 100. This is excluding the additional buffs a scholar may receive from magic spells, classes, and equipment, which may even raise stats to the 200's. This is all dependent on the magical aptitude and financial situation of the scholar. Even those that walk on the path of adventurer's take a couple years of non-stop monster grinding to grow to level 50 and tame their skills, but newbies usually don't even fight monsters their starting years.

Ruto, however, would take less than half that time considering the experience required to level up increases exponentially from level 50 and above. Tyr had tried to convey similar information to Ruto, although she watered it down even more due to his young age. Ruto, however, was able to get the gist of his unique gift(s) despite that.

'I am a cheater. '

Yes, that seems to be the 'logical' conclusion that Ruto has come to.

Ruto twitched his ears in mild curiosity as he asked, "So... what is a class? "

Try took another deep breath, formulating the words to explain classes to a child, "Well... " before she stopped and simply laughed, "You'll find out later, don't worry."

Tyr decided to finish with the remaining students and explain our living arrangements, before giving him an answer.

(Introduce some of the main school cast.)

A familiar blue glow continued to fill the room as the new students made their way to the stage, a look of awe bubbling up into the gazes of many that looked on. Many have never even seen active mana, let alone a magic tool capable of drawing out that dormant energy. Aria and Eric were definitely no exception to this, and each had the same fantastical feeling encapsulated in their eyes. There's no point trying to describe the complicated look on Tyr's face as she glanced towards Ruto and then looked at the stats of the kid's that had split off from him.

'There's no way they could be that far off from mine, we literally all lived together.'

It wasn't hard to notice this, but one would have to be paying attention to see that their were many people around the outer edges of the room. This makes sense considering there would have to be enough teachers in the room to help out the kids of all ages get to where they need to be, but it was obvious that was the case entirely. There were also other kids and teenagers calmly leaning against the walls of the auditorium in a relaxed manner as their gazes scanned the crowd.

'Scouting out the noobies?'

There was no use worrying about that now. About midway through testing the entire population of the auditorium, a group of teachers herded those that had already finished to a room juxtaposed to the auditorium.

A woman in complete black with long flowing silver hair smiled gently towards the crowd, "Line up nicely for me, please. Soon we'll be handing out a wristband, which will make it easier for you to get adjusted to the school grounds and to your stay here. If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask me, Lilia Arteise."

She worked quickly, and with elegance seeped into her every step. It didn't long for her to fashion the cold steel-like apparatus onto each student's wrist. Each would work as a simple magic catalyst, as well as function as a schedule, map, and dictionary for the students.

[Notice Regarding Today's Events]

[The Time is 6:42 AM]

[From 6:30 AM to 8:00 AM, students are expected to prepare for their first school day : eat, shower, get dressed, and look over their schedules.]

[This is the hot season, so make sure to wipe yourself down well after showering.]

Ruto was the first to wake and was soon greeted by the message above, a function of the wristband he had received from Ms. Arteise earlier. The trio have about an hour and a half to get dressed, eat, and complete their preparations for the school day. Aria's golden hair was still sprawled across the bed without a care for this, her mesmerizing azure eyes gleaming towards him as they slowly blinked away the grogginess of the morning. Unable to resist, as if he would even be resisting in the first place, Ruto cupped her little face with his hands, causing her ears to flick adorably above her head. The heat and embarrassment were practically palpable as her emotions engulfed her cheeks and passed into his hands.

"W-w-what arrrre you doing meow~?!" Aria rolled over her r's purring as she was overwhelmed by a sudden assault upon the fluffy members atop her head.

As a demi-human himself, he recognizes the sensitivity of their ears. That is exactly why he did such a thing, as it would be the optimal play to draw out as much cuteness as he could from his lil sis.

"Hrm..." Eric groaned, the world making itself known to his tired mind.

Of course, her cute protests also work as a method to wake Eric up.

[The time is 6:47 AM.]

On the bed, melted into a pile of yellow fluff and white frills, laid Aria.

"Whoops, it looks like I did tease her for a good bit, huh..."

"Hell yeah, you did," Erin said groggily as he attempted to stretch out his weariness on the hard wood floors of the dorm room.

"Hey, c'mon, we gotta go eat and get ready," Ruto replied as he attempted to shake Aria from her pet induced stupor.

"Mr-mrrrow~," Asuna meowed, clearly not in the condition to leave the room on her own.

'Man, I don't wanna end up having to carry her all the way to the mess hall... I should've thought this through.'

Eric seemed to have read the guilty party's thoughts as he gave him a thumbs up saying, "Go ahead, we will catch up with you when she is... back to normal."
