14 Chapter 14

When my sister came out of the machine, the first thing she did was run to mom, crying, and mom picked her up in her arms before starting to caress her head to calm her down. Swadloon looked quite concerned for my sister seeing her cry.

I looked at the professor, and he seemed quite surprised by the result and was in his own world.

I wanted to accompany our mother while she comforted my sister, but instead, I walked over to the computer that displayed the results on the screen and printed them.

This time, two sheets came out, and I started reading the first one.

[Pokémon: Buneary]

[General Type: Normal]

[General Egg Group: Field and Human-Like]

It is a very common Pokémon and usually lives in burrows for half a year after birth before becoming independent. But when they are in places with many predators, they live in a pack protected by several Lopunny during that time until they become independent. In addition, they have ears capable of attacking their enemies with a series of blows while rolling and unrolling them. These blows are very painful. They have so much strength in their ears that they can break rocks into pieces with their blows and can use ear-based punching moves, but they are usually very weak because their nature focuses on fleeing danger and only facing it when there is no escape...

I stopped reading this part and continued with the next.

[Location: cities, fields, and plains]

It is a very common Pokémon and is usually found in meadows and fields, but they can also be found in other places like forests. They are very popular among humans in general thanks to their cute appearance and because they are usually very easy to care for, so it is very common to find them in cities and they can be bought in Pokémon stores.

I moved to the other sheet.

[Innate Ability: Run Away]

Increases speed when a Pokémon tries to escape from dangerous situations, giving them the ability to escape from many dangerous situations.

There have been cases of several Buneary capable of fully controlling this ability to the point where they can use it in battles to greatly increase their speed or even in their daily life.

Speed increases depending on the danger and urgency to escape that the Pokémon feels in different situations.

In some cases, Pokémon with this ability have a strong sense that warns them when they are in danger and they immediately flee the place.

[Ability with the possibility of having: Klutz]

Pokémon with this ability are very clumsy and have difficulty using tools or other types of objects.

Pokémon have been registered trying to overcome their clumsiness by acquiring the ability to become stronger as long as they do not carry any objects.

Pokémon with this ability find it difficult to absorb energy from objects, but once they overcome this weakness with a large amount of resources, they can absorb energy much better than many other Pokémon.

[Compatibility Analysis]

Perfect compatibility: Normal, Fighting, Fairy

Superior compatibility: Ice, Electric, Fire, Water, Flying, Poison, Dark, Ground, Steel, Rock

Normal compatibility: Plant, Dragon, Bug, Ghost

Regular compatibility: Psychic

[Overall Rating: Buneary?]

A Buneary with a lot of compatibility that can be called monstrous compared to many of the Buneary already registered. It has so many compatibilities that allow access to many types of moves and may even be desired by the Elite Four to breed and make it a Pokémon in their main teams.

Additionally, it can adapt to many trainers thanks to its Normal type and its wide variety of compatibilities. It may be desired by many researchers to conduct investigations regarding its wide variety of compatibilities, although a physical capabilities analysis still needs to be performed for more information.

Because its body has not absorbed external energies, it has little tolerance for absorption, and there is a probability that it could mutate into a secondary type if it absorbs objects imbued with high-quality fighting or fairy type energy, thanks to its perfect compatibility with fighting and fairy types.

After finishing reading all this, I saw that mom was finishing consoling my sister. Meanwhile, Kurle seemed quite intrigued and trapped in his own thoughts.

I observed the computer screen, and it appeared.

[Do you want to make the results public, send the results to a Pokémon research center, or keep them private?]

[Note that to make the results public, permission must be obtained from the Pokémon trainer, or you may end up violating the law.]

After that, three boxes with the mentioned options appeared.

This is very concerning. I took a quick look at those in the room, and seeing that no one was paying attention to me, I started using the mouse and selected the last option. Then it appeared.

[To confirm, type (Accept)]

I typed it in the text box, and it appeared.

[Information stored]

[Select the security level]

[Gym Leader and Vice Leader]

[High-rank employees]

[Mid-rank employees]

Many other options started to appear, and I ignored all of them and only focused on the first one.

I selected it, and [Type the password designated by the gym leader for storage] came out.

How am I supposed to know that password? Should I ask Kurle? I looked in his direction, and he was still caught up in his thoughts. I simply ignored that idea and wrote the first thing that came to my mind, which was the name Liza uses when referring to mom. [Tifa]

[Correct password, information protected successfully]

[Due to the information about Buneary becoming the highest security information, it will be altered to decrease the registered compatibilities, and the true information will only be accessible to the gym leader and vice leader.]

It was much easier than I thought. It even makes me question the security system of this place.

I moved away from the computer and approached mom discreetly, who now looked smaller than me due to my current form, and it feels strange not having to look up to see her face.

I saw that Kurle came out of his thoughts and told us, "I'm going to tell Liza the results. You can continue analyzing Swadloon. You just need Swadloon to get on the platform and press this button."

He pointed to one of the buttons, and when he left the lab, we continued with the compatibility analysis of Swadloon.

When he left, we started Swadloon's analysis, and she had to get on the platform. My sister and I had to encourage her to enter because she was a bit scared due to Buneary's reaction. When she finally mustered the courage to do it, she crawled onto the platform, and then mom pressed the button.

While waiting, I approached the display cases and started looking at their contents.

There were several jars with their respective names.

Fire essence potion (Normal), water essence potion (Normal), electric essence potion (High). There was a wide variety of different potions, and I got quite curious. Maybe it wouldn't be bad if I drink one of them, but then I tried to control myself and avoided that impulse. I don't want to end up paying for that potion or owing a favor to Liza or Kurle.

I went back to mom, and we had to wait for some time until Swadloon's analysis was finished.

[General Analysis: Perfect compatibility with Bug and Plant types, superior compatibility with three types, normal compatibility with three types, regular compatibility with four types, inferior compatibility with four types, and completely incompatible with Ice and Fire.]

When it finally ended, she had the same reaction as my sister. So we had to comfort her a bit.

I picked up the sheet, and this time, no pop-ups appeared on the computer.

[Compatibility Analysis]

Perfect compatibility: Bug, Plant.

Superior compatibility: Normal, Poison, Dark.

Normal compatibility: Electric, Flying, Ghost.

Regular compatibility: Water, Ground, Rock, Psychic.

Inferior compatibility: Fighting, Steel, Fairy, Dragon.

Incompatible: Ice, Fire.

[Overall Rating: Superior]

A Swadloon with a lot of potential, although it seems to have evolved without absorbing external energy, which made it miss the opportunity to increase compatibility with its main types. Because its body has not absorbed external energies, it has little tolerance for absorption.

Is it just me, or does this machine discriminate against Pokémon with low compatibility?

"Now where do we go?" I asked mom, who still seemed quite distracted, and we don't have any guide who knows the place other than her.

"Lopunny (Let's rest in my room)." She seemed quite tired, and I wanted to give her a hug, but I think it would feel very uncomfortable to do it in this form, and I don't want to return to my Zorua form just yet.

"All right, let's go," I said before holding my sister with my hands and lifting her onto my shoulders. I always wanted to do this with some Pokémon.

Swadloon seemed like she wanted me to do the same with her, but instead, I carried her in my arms and started following mom for many minutes. We had to climb several stairs and go through many different corridors. There were many people who couldn't stop looking at me when they saw me crossing the corridors, and it made me doubt whether I should turn back into my Zorua form, but I couldn't do it in case someone saw me changing forms.

We reached a hallway that split in two, one with walls painted pink and the other blue. We took the pink one, and we saw many doors and several Pokémon wandering around, looking at mom with respect and curiosity. Until we reached the end of the hallway where there were several doors with the image of various Normal or Fighting type Pokémon, and on one door, there was an image with a Lopunny. Mom approached the door and touched what seemed to be a fingerprint scanner or something similar. She put her hand, and the door began to open.
