Chapter 2: Refining The First Step!

After thinking of the possibilities, there was determination painted on Su Yun's face.

Time was running out.

All of his theories should be put into practice.

After some thought, Su Yun decided to start refining his skin first.

Grabbing a pen and paper, Su Yun started to draw and put everything into plan.

To live long was everyone's hope for the future, there was no one who did not yearn for it.

A new world might be born if people gave their all and fought for it.

An hour later, Su Yun looked at the paper he was working on and a faint smile slowly appeared on his face.

According to his calculations, he found that this possibility was achievable.

If Su Yun told other people of his advanced idea, no one would ever regard him as a normal person. They would think that he was a lunatic.

And it's not like anybody else could execute this kind of plan anyway.

There was no one in Shadow Moon Base City who had the same forging experience as he does.

Everything came from Su Yun's [ 100 Times Brain's Computational ] ability.

It made all of these impossible ideas possible.

More importantly, Su Yun discovered that in the process of planning, there were actually no problems that he hadn't predicted. It was as if he could envision all the possible problems he might have faced and solved them all in his brain.

Everything seemed to be so ordinary, so smooth and so easy.

Then there was the mysterious [ Yellow Flame ] firearm, a super powerful weapon that could adjust its temperature at will and at any time.

With these abilities in his hands, Su Yun had more confidence in what he was going to do.

He began looking for leftover materials that were not used for forging weapons.

Su Yun realized that his materials were all of poor quality.

Low-grade materials not only had a lot of impurities, but their value was also very low. Due to a high level of impurities they have, it caused the refining process to be very troublesome and unmanageable.

It would take a lot of time to forge using these low-grade materials.

These materials were basically like pieces of junk on the street that no one will ever want.

But what other choice does he have? The only thing that Su Yun could do now was to make the most out of the things he had.

So, Su Yun made a few minor changes to his original blueprint.

He replaced all the materials with the lowest grade materials that he had and used them to its fullest potential.

He first carried out the most basic refining procedure.

He began to focus on using the hammer in his hand, slowly processing.

After all, this was the first time he was trying to forge skin, so he should be careful when executing his plan.

If anything happened, the loss would be greater than the gain!

Then, Su Yun began to wield the [ Yellow Flame ] to forge the skin.

The temperature of the flame that wrapped around the material was over a thousand degrees celsius, while the temperature of the flame that was attached directly to the skin was only a few dozen degrees celsius.

The firearm was one of the thirty-three Divine Flames of Heaven and Earth. It had all kinds of magical abilities, and one of them was to control the temperature and position of the flame at will.

Su Yun took advantage of this ability to make this project.

And on his arm, the refined skin emitted a faint green light.

It glowed as if it was an extraordinary weapon.

Su Yun pinched it. He didn't feel any pain.

His skin's defense seemed to have increased by a lot.

Su Yun casually picked up a weapon from the ground and gently tried to cut through the new skin.

There was no scar to be seen on his arm.

It was as if he had not been hurt at all.

Not even a white line appeared on his skin.

Su Yun was very satisfied with the current results. 

Although he only made a small progress, it was also a big step towards success.

Now that it could resist the attacks of ordinary weapons, he would definitely be able to make it resistant against stronger things as his ability improved.

This meant that his calculations had been correct.

And since he was on the right track, he would continue to work hard on finishing the whole thing.

Right now, he had only refined a small piece of skin. There were still a lot of things that he needed to do in order to refine the rest of the skin on his body. 

He could not slack off!

Su Yun then fell into a deep focus as he continued his work.

Su Yun was so immersed in refining his own skin, that he did not forge any standard weapons that day. There was not even a single business that came knocking on his door.

But, Su Yun was not worried. To him, this was even better.

The next day, Su Yun remembered that Li Song was about to come in a few days to pick up the standard weapons he ordered. He quickly used the time to forge the weapons instead.

After all, he was still relying on forging these weapons to support himself.

Perhaps after a day of forging his skin, Su Yun's forging speed was dozens of times faster than before. In less than a day, the remaining four weapons were all finished.

Su Yun even used his new firearm to briefly upgrade these weapons.

Once finished, he threw all the standard weapons aside and continued refining his skin.

Su Yun discovered that his refining skills had improved by leaps and bounds.

Usually, it would take him three to four days to forge a weapon. Now, in less than a day, he could forge four weapons.

The quality of the weapons was even higher than the ones he used to make.

If Su Yun was willing to spend more time and effort into it, he could even refine all of these standard weapons into a transcendent-level weapons.

However, the price of these standard weapons was already fixed. There was no need to do such an unrewarded task.

On top of that, the[ Yellow Flame ]'s energy was limited.

If he spent it more on other unnecessary things, he would not have enough energy to refine the skin.

If not for his firearm's slow recovery, Su Yun would not know what to do.

On the third day, most of Su Yun's skin had been refined.

On the fourth day, Su Yun finished refining all of his skin, and it was glowing with a faint green light.

On the fifth day, Li Song arrived at his smithy with a few people behind him.

"Old man Su, how are the weapons coming along? If you haven't reached the quota, I'll lessen your burden to five pieces next month," Li Song shouted arrogantly by the door as he led everyone in.

"Come in! The weapons are at the door. Take them yourself," Su Yun said indifferently.

A look of surprise came over Li Song's face at Su Yun's reply.

Last month, Su Yun had needed to delay his submission for two more days.

This time, Li Song had deliberately come early in order to lessen Su Yun's weapon manufacturing quota, so that he could get other blacksmiths, who had a cheaper price, to do them instead.

Who knew that this fellow could actually finish it a few days earlier than he had expected.

Li Song rubbed his bald head helplessly and said to the people behind him, "Let's go in and take a look. We'll know if he is telling the truth."

When he inspected one of the weapons, he discovered that it was of extraordinary quality.

Were the rest of the weapons in the batch also of such high quality? 

Li Song smiled at him.

He should show some respect to this old man. If he ever became a blacksmith one day, his attitude might even benefit him.

After sending those people away, Su Yun continued his work on his skin.

After today's refining, he discovered that his skin's glow had started to slowly change from bright green to light blue.

On the seventh day…
