09 REIGN OF EMILIA- "Happy birthday" pt 1
AMANDA'S POV:
"Holy mother of god! you look gorgeous!" Hailey exclaims, we were getting ready at her house.
I stare at myself in the body length mirror. She was right, I was gorgeous. My dark brown hair was slicked back and I was wearing a knee length, Royal blue, 3D butterfly dress and my black platform heels stiletto pumps that made me feel like I was walking on air.
It is 7:00 at night now. The girls and I spent the whole day at the spa, getting our hair, nails etc. done.
"Thank you." I pause. "So. Please tell me you have gifts?" I give the girls a questioning look. They all gave me an apologetic look. Not to be dramatic, but my heart fell.
"We're sorry, it's just that we just met you and we didn't-"
"It is fine, really. It is no big deal." I say giving them asad smile. They all looked at each other before bursting with laughter.
"Are you kidding? Of course we got you presents!" Hannah exclaims. At the mention of presents, my heart started moving again. The best part of a birthday is the birthday presents.
"Really?" I smile. I could practically feel tears in my eyes.
"Don't get too happy yet. We are not giving them to you. At least not until we're at the party." McKenna deadpans.
My heart fell again.
Okay maybe I am exaggerating.
"Fine." I mumble.
"Well. The guys are downstairs, let's give them a cliché entrance, shall we?" McKenna says.
"We shall" I smile.
"Ace is gonna lose his senses when he sees you." Hannah comments.
"Ace already does not have any sense." I chuckle.
"Mhm, mhm. What's the deal with you two anyway?" Hailey ask.
"What do you mean. There is nothing going on."
"Yeah right, don't give us that crap. The tension between you two could be cut with a chainsaw." she deadpans.
The image of the kiss Ace and I shared earlier popped up in my head, causing my cheeks to heat up.
"It is nothing, we were always like that." I lie.
"Yeah, yeah, Em. You're as red as a tomato right now. Something -did- happen didn't it? Spill." she says. Giving me a serious look.
I hesitated for a minute before confessing.
"Okay, we ugh- We kissed, but that was just a birthday kiss. Which makes everything worse but, that is all."
"You kissed?" they all yell in unison.
"Great you guys, yell even louder, I am sure the whole of Manhattan can hear you."
"Sorry" they say again.
"You kissed?" they whisper-yell this time.
"I told you. It did not mean anything." I mutter
"Well it didn't mean "nothing" Hailey says.
"He said it himself, it was just a birthday kiss. Besides, it is not like I 'like' Ace. We are just friends and he is an Asshole. Or should I say 'Ace-hole'" I say.
"Who knows, maybe you guys can have that bad boy good girl relationship." McKenna giggles.
"Nah" I mumble. "Anyways, let us go"
"Yup, come on"
And with that. We all headed out of the room and to the stairs.

ACE'S POV: (Yup, you read right.)
"What is taking them so long?" I ask, taking a drag of my cigarette.
"Do you really have to ask? They are girls. It's natural." James says, leaning against the staircase.
"Okay guys we're coming down." I hear Hailey's voice. I look up the staircase to see Hailey at the top of it. To be honest, she was beautiful, but wasn't the person I was waiting for.
"Damn babe. You look gorgeous." Noah says when she reached the bottom of the stairs and giving her a kiss, causing her to blush.
Soon their was McKenna, then Hannah. They both looked great, but again. Not the person I was waiting for.
"Okay fellas, brace yourselves, here comes the birthday girl herself." Hailey explains, gesturing towards the staircase, where Emilia comes out next.
My breath caught in my throat and my heart immediately started racing.
She was gorgeous.
She was wearing a royal blue dress with 3D butterflies on it. Her slicked black back hair cascaded down the middle of her back.
She walked down the stairs with so much dominance, she could bring any man to his knees.
"Damn." I mutter under my breath but loud enough that the guys could hear it.
Alec did a wolf howl and Michael made a whistle which made me glare at the two for a split second before darting my eyes back towards her.
"You look great." Levie comments.
"Great? she looks Amazing." Michael says and the rest of the guys agree.
"Thank you, guys." she smiled.
I had to say something, I can't just stand here, staring at her like a fu*king creep.
Come on Ace, say something.
SAY SOMETHING!!-
"You look okay, I guess." fu*king idiot, it would be better to say nothing at all.
Her smile fell and she stared at me with no emotion.
"Whatever." she mutter, rolling her emerald eyes. "Let us go." she says, walking past me and through the front door.
"Smooth move man."
"Yeah, way to go."
James and Michael says, causing me to groan.
I have no idea what is wrong with me, I mean. We were talking over the phone like we've known each other for years.
I couldn't wait to see her in person.
I can't believe she managed to kick my ass. Twice.
The day after we met, I spent an extra hour in the bathroom, reciting what I would say, in the mirror.
Yeah. Wuss, I know.
Yet I always seem to fu*k things up with her.
I'm an idiot.
Wait. Why the hell do I care anyway? Not like I owe her anything.
Oh, right, it's her birthday, that must be why I'm feeling like this. Yeah, definitely.

AMANDA'S POV: (At James' house.)
"Ready?" Hailey says.
"Yes, just open the darn door already." I yell.
James opens his front door before saying:
"Welcome to your first official high school party."
As soon as he opens the door, I am greeted with the smell of alcohol and sweat and the sight of drunken teens, grinding on each other.
It's not even 10 o'clock yet and people are already drunk.
"Wow, this must be fun."
