Chapter 2
Today I'm kinda excited for school as I have a few friends. And I'm more excited to maybe spend some time with Michael he's so sweet just hope he doesn't have a girlfriend.
I do my usuals in the morning dress up in my new uniform. I'll show those students my perfect shape.
I go downstairs greet everyone we pray and start eating. I and Nate get in a taxi as usual.
I was walking to my class on the way I met Michael.
"Hey cupcake" he smiled
"Hey" I smiled shyly.
"Ummm I chatted you up yesterday you didn't reply" he said with sad eyes
"Ummm sorry my battery ran down" I said
"oh I thought you were snubbing me" he said
"no why would I" I asked and he shrugged
"Ummm how about I take you out on Saturday if u have nothing doing" he asked scratching his head feeling nervous. Omg his he asking me to go out on a date with him.
"I h-have nothing doing sure we could hangout" I replied happily
"ok I'll call you"
"be expecting that" I smiled showing my dimples
"love your smile and you have dimples just like me" he smiled cutely
"yeah thanks for the compliment" I blushed
"see you around cupcake" he said touching my cheek and I felt this spark that was too much to push aside with these annoying butterflies dancing and celebrating in my stomach
"bye" I said blushing I know if I was a white I'll be as red as a tomato by now.
"How far na" Stephanie said walking towards me
"I'm good how bout you" I replied
"never felt better " she said giving me a knowing look
"so you guys stayed up all night chatting, right??" I said smirking
"of course now do you know the best part he recently broke up with his gf" she informed me of something I already know
"good for you"
"Ehen I saw you and Michael together abeg gist me now" she said smiling omo this girl go like gist o definitely my type.
"Omo he asked me to go on a date with him" I said squealing happily
"Oh really" she said teasingly with her eyebrows dancing up and down.
"yes I'm just so happy he even calls me cupcake" I replied.
We were now entering the classroom "the badass girl of the class has come o" a student screamed
"oshe see how she walked out on the teacher now" another student screamed.
"I didn't mean to be rude or anything my head was banging and I had to visit the sick bay I didn't have the strength to explain to that mean teacher" I laughed
"you know she wasn't expecting you to answer that question like did you see the look on her face when you answered it" Caleb joked and we all laughed
"she's also hot" another student chirped in and I just rolled my eyes
"we have like 30mins before the teacher comes in so let's just play truth or dare I'm bored" a student said
"I agree with that the teacher does not like coming early sef" Stephanie said and we gathered around a table the new boy is here too and he's playing
They spined the bottle it landed on Caleb "Caleb truth or dare" a student asked "truth"
"do you love Amara?"
"Love ke? I haven't actually loved just crush or like. So I just like her she's nice and everything we've been dating for a while now and we have- u know she's ok I like her but not love abeg" the bottle was spined again it landed on the breathtaking new boy
"Seth truth or dare" a student asked oh so his name is Seth.
"Dare"
"I dare you to kiss Reeva. Wait Reeva your name river as in water"
"Ummm no Reeva as an in R-E-E-V-A" I spelt it out for them
"Nice name" Seth said smirking at me and I just smiled in return
"Seth your dare" a student said
"Yh I haven't forgotten" Seth said. He walked over to me and kissed me it was a short french kiss gosh his lips are soft we pulled away with him smirking at me and some students were whistling.
We did a few rounds and a teacher came in we settled down and he started teaching.
Soon it was break time I was so happy because I was really famished. I walked with Stephanie to the cafeteria and she took me to a table with some of her friends from art and I think one or two from my class
"Hey guys this is Reeva" Stephanie said talking to her friends
"Hey we've heard about you Reeva I am Cedar and this is Troy this is Olamide this is Ayomide and this Destinie"
"Hey" they all chorused
"Hey guys nice meeting you all" I said
We ate our food I felt my phone vibrate and I checked the message.
Michael: hey cupcake wassup u ain't eating with us
I blushed and replied: ummm yeah eating with my friends

Michael: awww cupcake cares🥺 anyways I'm good hbu
Me: I'm cool talk later gotta go bye✌️💜
I and my new friends talked and laughed for while before retiring back to our classes.
Classes went on as usual during my free period I went to the library I wanted to read physics. On my way I met Seth.
"Hey pretty" he said
"Hey handsome 🙃" I smirked I can be a flirt sometimes
"I enjoyed the kiss you know" he said and I just shrugged it's not like this is my first time kissing
"So what you doing in the library?" he asked me
"Want to read physics" was all I said
"Noticed you are one smart ass" he said
"Thanks"
"You know I could use some tutoring" he smirked
"Whatever" I shrugged
"See you around bye princess"
"Bye" I read my books till it was school over and I went to my brother's class.
"Hey bro" I said walking towards my brother in his class earning a few started from the seniors especially the girls *jealousy*
"Hey sis how's classes"
"Fine, abeg me am tired o I want to go home" I said
"Why the rush?" Michael said walking towards us
"I'm really tired right now and I want my bed"
"I can take away all your tiredness you know" he said smirking and I just smiled
"Michael we gotta go see you tomorrow" Nate spoke immediately putting an arm around my shoulder and I just rolled my eyes this boy can be over protective
"Ok bye Nate see you tomorrow cupcake" Michael said winning at me
"Bye" Nate and me chorused and like that we went home.
I went up the stairs to my room to change to house clothes. I went downstairs to eat with my family and the smell of jollof spaghetti and fried meat filled my nose Oh God how I love spag.
"Mom this smells nice" I said sniffing the air
"Thanks sweetie come help me set the table"
"ok ma"
"Mommy will not kill me with her sweet and scenting food God I will not die" Zara chirped
"I swear" Zoe screamed
"Let your mother not hear you swearing o" Nate said almost immediately
"Abeggi" Zoe hissed and Nate rolled his eyes lol that boy.
We sat the table and started eating when I finished I went to my room.
I checked my phone for messages and I got one from Stephanie and one from Michael and I smiled.
Stephanie: didn't see you after school
Me: I went to Nate's class
Stephanie: Why didn't you call me now??🥲
Me: I couldn't find you after coming from the library
Stephanie: ok talk later gotta go
Me: ok bye✌️💜
Michael: hey cupcake
Me: hey how are you
2mins later
Michael: I'm good cupcake hbu
Me: I'm good
We chatted for a while and then I decide to read my books a bit as the smart ass I am and then I slept off.
Things went as usual throughout the week going to school and all. Today is Saturday and guess what today is special, I would be going on a date with Michael.
He said I should meet him at 'lozzy mall' at the food court at 12. Gosh I've got a lot of time to prepare and my parents aren't at home Stephanie is coming over to help me prepare more like coming to see Nate but who cares.
I need help here I haven't gone on a date before cuz I was going to Kings and Queens Academy boarding school before coming here.
Like who goes on dates in a boarding school I didn't even have a boyfriend then.
I rush to the bathroom have my bath and brush my teeth go downstairs to eat and come back up to read before Stephanie comes she's coming by 10. Stephanie arrived at 10.
"Hey babygirl" she said walking into my room this not being the first time she's here and I'm sure my parents know her now.
"Hey how you doing?"
"I'm good, you good let's get to business"
We searched for what I would wear.
We suggested, that since he said I should meet him at the mall it's gonna be casual so I should dress casually which I was happy with cuz I don't always like wearing formal urrgh.
We choose a black crop top with off shoulders, designed black leggings and my shiny sneakers I don't want to over dress so *shrug*.
"Now lemme apply your makeup" Stephanie chirped
She finished doing my makeup gosh I look pretty.
"Omg you look pretty" she said
"Thank you I said" I actually looked really good my hair was braided with gold attachment that stopped at my back I wore a band and let my hair flow.
"You are welcome sweetie now get going lemme go and talk with your brother" this girl ehn.
"Ok bye" and with that I left I arrived at 11:55am he was already there.
"Hey cupcake you look breathtaking" he gasped.
"Thank you handsome so what are we doing"
"Let's watch a movie and after that we can come back here to eat".
"Ok"
We picked a very funny cartoon it was fun we even held hands fed each other pop corn his a good guy cuz he didn't try any funny business or maybe he's just buying my trust.
Guys are smart and girls are foolish in most relationships 🥲.We went back to the food court we ate and when we were done he offered to pay and I let him pay.
Abeg I'm not one of those girls that will argue with you about why they should pay instead of the guy if I offer to pay once due to my humility 😂 and you don't agree I will I will let you pay. Abeg who no like free food. This is Nigeria, haha.
"It was nice going out with you this date was perfect" he said
"Yh I enjoyed it too"
"Ummm before some guy steals my space we usually have dinner night in our school third week on Saturday night and people go with dates so would you mind being my date" he said rushing the whole thing
"Yeah sure" I said smiling at him
"Good so I'll pick you up from the gate of your estate I'll call you I don't want your parents being suspicious" he said and we both laughed.
We held hands while walking out of the mall and I felt that spark and butterflies celebrating in my belly God this guy.
I went home so happy Stephanie was already gone so I texted her the whole thing. God today was amazing squuuueee ✌️💜.
