2 II: Where do we fall, people?

"I see some of you are upset! Well, let me tell you something, having a broken item or ability does not make you powerful, have you ever thought about what you are as an ordinary person? Unless you have gained knowledge of some energy, all your power is based on your stamina or your vitality.

So no, not because you have a pair of Rinnegans will you automatically become the God of the New World, don't be stupid," Lord Referi said with a serious tone, looking at those 'graceful fools' in the crowd.

"On the continent where you will be sent, there are not only creatures, but also intelligent beings, iconic places, and many secrets. Killing or discovering this place will give you points, which can be stolen from others when you kill them.

These points are useful at the end of the Battle Royal if you survive. Contrary to what you know, you only have to survive for one year, but... if you don't reach the point quota, you will be eradicated, your existence will be erased, and all your non-omnipotent parallels will disappear from all possible realities," his deep voice startled the participants, then they realized.

This was not their chance to transcend all existence, get a harem, and hang out, they would go into a fight, a constant struggle for survival. While many still had delusions in their heads, the wiser ones understood the underlying danger, they knew that literally, their entire existence was at stake.

"Ohohohoho, I always like to see the faces of despair on these humans," said a blurry figure, around him were other different figures, but strangely they all shared a strange bond.

"I'm not surprised by that from you, Nyarlathotep," replied a humanoid with the face of a hawk and one of his eyes shining like the sun.

"You're boring, Ra," all the figures replied, Nyarlathotep's avatars were very connected and were him and not him at the same time.

"This is interesting, Uhm! I want it to start already, Uhm!" cried little Zeno-Sama, who was held on his lap by Daishinkan.

"It will start soon, now the humans will choose where they will appear," Daishinkan said to calm the little king of everything.

"And now it's time for you to choose your appearance! The information about the continent and its zones will be narrated by the great Joseju, whom we ask to record the information in exchange for a wish," Lord Referi said, and although many of the reincarnates did not understand, some did.

"Don't tell me..."

"No, I don't think he..."

"WHERE DO WE FALL PEOPLE?" they all heard that infamous question in their heads, obviously coming from the screen in front of them.

"On the continent, there are different zones with different biomes. They are marked with a legend that indicates the level of danger. From easy to hell. The higher the difficulty, the higher the reward, but the lower the odds.

Scattered throughout the map are mysterious chests sponsored by Samantha Maxis who has reached the multiversal level, so you can find any weapon that is not divine.

There are chests everywhere, hidden areas, secrets, opportunities, and tragedies. There are places inhabited by creatures called "bosses", so be prepared to roll like in Dark Souls.

There are settlements of intelligent beings like humans, elves, orcs, dwarves, and so on. Come on, it's a generic fantasy map set in medieval times, so be careful, these are not simple NPCs, if you get killed because of your stupidity, it's your fault.

"Now, WHERE DO WE FALL PEOPLE?" Joseju's voice was no longer heard in their heads, but no one said anything, they were still processing the information received.

"You said there are elves? Yes, I want my busty elf waifu loli!" shouted a guy whose appearance we can all imagine, so we'll spare his description.

"I HAVE A RINNEGAN, JOIN MY GROUP AND I WILL TAKE YOU TO GLORY!" shouted a man with purple eyes and an arrogant expression worthy of his possible last name, Peng.

"Join my group! That guy won't even be able to use those eyes, I have a Boosted Gear, so I can power them up in battle," a female voice said, attracting attention.

613 also looked at her, feeling intrigued; she was a woman with a slender and toned body, blonde hair with brown eyes, wearing a black top that showed off her chiseled abs, and a pair of gym pants. Noticing the attention around her, she waved her left arm, causing the distinctive Sacred Gear to appear.

"This cry, accompanied by a green glow, echoed loudly, demonstrating her power. Even though some of them did not receive a powerful ability at first, they felt that the woman's presence had increased.

"Fucking bitch! Only we men are the main characters in these stories, surely some random person is writing this in some parallel world, do you think her readers would want her possible protagonist's leader to be a woman?" said the Rinnegan boy, unaware that he didn't even have a real name in this story.

"Oh, you seem uncomfortable, surely getting those life-sucking eyes was the luckiest thing that ever happened to you, wasn't it?" scoffed the woman, whom we will give a proper name later in the story.

With the conclusion of this little discussion, groups and factions began to form, no one wanted to do this alone, and while you could get points for killing another participant, those types of situations would most likely not happen until the middle of the year, so at least they had some time where they could fortify themselves without worrying.

"Maybe I should look for a group as well..." Seeing those guys with broken skills, incredible lineage, and even weapons that were considered divine, 613 regretted his luck a bit, but then that thought was pushed out of his mind.

"No, spin is present in even the smallest components of matter, how can it be less powerful than the lineage of a dragon god or a noble spirit like Excalibur? I just have to grow... and I even have extra medical knowledge and sword skills, even if it's only for execution, but something is something," 613 said to himself quietly, then decided to approach the blonde with the boosted gear.

There were a dozen people around her, a small group compared to the hundreds the Rinnegan boy had gotten, but he felt more like this girl. In a small group, he could stand out more, and the boost from the Boosted Gear might come in handy.

When he got close enough, he raised his hand and got the group's attention.

"Partner, do you have leprosy, why are you all covered?" asked a young man holding a red and white ball, a Pokeball.

"No, but my world was destroyed by the sun that melted all humanity with its light and melted people into fleshy amalgams that wanted to make me see the 'light,'" 613 replied with a bit of sour humor, but his words startled the others.

"Damn, you're from SCP's world, and your world got fucked up by SCP-001 When Dawn Streaks, my condolences," said a burly man, holding a talisman, the Bull's.

"Oh yeah, when that creepy transmission interrupted absolutely everything, I didn't believe it until I saw my parents and my girlfriend in a very intimate contact, you know, body to body... fuck, I couldn't do anything, it was something I couldn't avoid" 613's eyes watered, he did his best to hold back his tears and that abrasive feeling of emptiness and pain in his chest.

The shock of death and his resurrection were over and now he faced his memories, his overwhelming emotions. He did not want to cry in front of these strangers, but even if he tried to find humor in his misfortune, he could not help it.

Then he felt a touch on his shoulder, it wasn't like the light breaking through the darkness, but it brought him out of his stupor and made him stare at the one who had touched him.

"We have a chance to get stronger, to get better, and who knows, maybe we will go back to our original worlds, maybe you will find a solution," the blonde comforted him, but they all knew that this might never happen, but a little hope was welcome in a situation like the one they were in.

"My name is Marie, what's yours?" she asked as she noticed 613's emotions calming down.

"I don't want to go by that name anymore, just call me 613. I feel that if I survive, I will deserve a new name, a new life, but first I must overcome this situation," he said with a forced smile, noticing the understanding and sympathy in his new companions' eyes.

But inside he laughed, he mocked.

Even though he was crying and sad, he used this momentary weakness to give himself a tragic image in search of positivity.

He was not a legendary protagonist, cold and calculating, but he wanted to live, he wanted advantages, he wanted points. He cannot miss this opportunity to become stronger, to achieve his goals, and one of them is to become powerful, powerful enough to be one of those beings who watch from the stands.

"Then we must choose where to appear, it must be well planned and it must be advantageous for us," Marie said, separating herself from 613 and looking at the others gathered with her.

"It is time to choose where we will fall."
