020 The Weird Appearance

Doren waited for Aimee outside the women's bathroom cubicle.

Kept looking at her hands restlessly and didn't understand.

"I've said it many times. Don't act weird and mess up your appearance," Doren warned.

"Even though, you know Alfin is never happy when his secretary's appearance is messed up!" added Doren, reminded her.

Aimee answered the reprimand with short words.

"Yeah. I know. And I apologize."

However, this apology never satisfied Doren.

"Comes with a messy and weird appearance. Do you think Alfin will not reprimand you? Gave a stern warning and probably will..."

Doren hadn't finished her speech. The cubicle door was open. Presented the figure of Aimee who looked sad and uninspired. Aimee stared blankly at Doren.

"Probably what, Doren?" Aimee asked Doren to continue her sentence.

Doren was silent for a moment.

"Will fire me because he has 1001 reasons to fire his weird and insane secretary?" continued Aimee.

Put her clothes next to the sink, Aimee looked at her already much better appearance.

"Thank you for the clothes you lent me. I promise to return it as soon as I washed it clean."

Aimee looked into Doren's eyes from the mirror.

"But let's hope I don't return it outside the office," Aimee said quietly.

Doren frowned.

"Outside the office? Why? Do you want to take me somewhere to make up for your debt of gratitude?"

She shook her head weakly and wasn't in a position to joke.

Aimee answered Doren's question seriously.

"No. I'm feeling sure that I'm going to get fired. And there's no reason for me to return your clothes inside the office."

Doren sighed.

"Aimee," felt depressed and also frustrated.

"This matter is not as big as your fear. So don't think too much about it! And believe me, if Alfin will not fire you just because of a minor problem!"

Aimee smiled flatly.

"Well. If only this minor problem was the only thing I did to him..."

Doren looked at Aimee in surprise.

"Is there another problem? And you haven't told me yet?" asked Doren anxiously.

She shuddered every time Aimee got desperate.

Aimee shook her head.

"It is nothing. But, are my clothes really that bad? Why is he being so exaggerating? I just meant to…"

Before Aimee finished her speech.

Doren shouted.

"Aimee!! What's with the skin on your neck??!"

Aimee reflexively covered her neck. Forgot the other reason she was wearing weird clothes.

"Oh my god! I forgot! How about this? I can't let people see my allergies. They will question it and feel uncomfortable. Not to mention I have to answer their questions one by one."

Doren was restless.

"So this is why you're wearing that weird sweater in this hot weather and a long skirt?" guess Doren.

It didn't matter if Aimee wanted to wear a long skirt. As long as the skirt included clothes that were pleasing to the eye and did not invite wrinkles on anyone's forehead.

So it would be impossible for Alfin to reprimand Aimee in this way.

Told her to immediately change clothes and throw away old-style clothes.

Doren tried to give Aimee some steadfastness.

"Calm, please. Don't panic, and trust me. I have a way to handle it more elegantly. Because you're lucky the wound is only on the neck."

Doren took one of her clothing accessories stock. She took out a scarf and immediately helped Aimee to put it on.

"Now things look a lot better. Your wound is covered perfectly and you look more fashionable. Don't forget to tweak your makeup a little bit to keep it natural."

Aimee nodded happily.

She was lucky to have a friend who can be relied on in terms of appearance. Aimee also wouldn't talk about other bruises on other parts of her body so as not to worry Doren.

"So, have you treat the wound? Do you need a stronger ointment or go to meet the dermatologist?" Doren asked.

Probably meant to recommend a great doctor Doren knew. Aimee hastily shook her head.

"There's no need since I've applied a lot of medicine. And soon, I'm sure this allergy will disappear. I'm just a little hard to deal with the itching. But only sometimes. So there's no need to worry."

Aimee gave a very grateful look.

"Then, thanks for this scarf idea. And I was super stupid for not being able to think of this simple but brilliant idea. For almost half an hour, how can I cover up my appearance so as not to stand out or steal the show."

Doren replied quickly.

"You're attracting more attention than you should!"

Laughed and confirmed it. Doren took Aimee out of the toilet.

Returned to their desks and prepared for the morning meeting.

Alfin's gaze continued to annoy Aimee. It's been about half an hour. And Alfin hadn't taken his attention away from Aimee yet.

Gave the impression of being mysterious and difficult to read.

Not because of Aimee's much better appearance. Because after all the borrowed good clothes she wore. It wouldn't have much of an impact on her always-ordinary-looking appearance.

A long-sleeved mustard shirt that Aimee had rolled up neatly to the elbows. A gray knee-length skirt that matched the scarf Aimee was wearing. Then the bottom of the shirt that Aimee deliberately put into the skirt.

Should have enough for her to get praise or congratulations for having succeeded in creating harmonious and suitable words in Aimee's appearance today.

But, what was with Alfin's cynical gaze?

Was he still mad about what Aimee told him last night?

Unacceptable and impatient to give Aimee a cruel punishment?

When his cousin Harry Miles was giving a speech at the front. Planned all the work of workers and what additional contributions will be given in return.

Then the most important thing after that, what additional work will be the main focus and attention.
