003 Like A Joke

"You came late again today?" protested Alfiano Gennaldy.

The man who was familiarly called Alfin, or Mr. Alfin.

"I'm just a little late, sir!" Aimee said confidently.

Didn't show lies with a serious face.

But not his name Alfin, if he didn't know Aimee was lying.

Alfin chuckled arrogantly.

"Tsk tsk tsk… do you think you can fool me? Absent at exactly 9:57. Did you call that just a little late?"

Swallowed her lips and didn't argue.

It was already 1 hour 57 minutes late. And this can be said as a record. Compete with the Boss who always came to the office at 11 or 11 past 30 minutes.

Aimee realized that Alfin had been watching her since morning. But, she was surprised when she just realized something. Frowned and thought again. Aimee looked at Alfin confusedly.

"You came so early, sir? What a surprise! Do you have some important work to attend to this morning?"

Plucked his fingers several times in front of Aimee's face. Alfin couldn't stop but showing an annoyed expression.

"You are my personal secretary! But you, have absolutely no idea what my schedule for today is?"

Cleared her throat once and was nervous.

Aimee hastily opened her agenda.

"You have an appointment with Mr. Mael from the Mad Empires company in 15 minutes. Go to the field at 2 after lunch. And back to the office to do the new job Mr. Harry gave you."

Aimee was silent for a few seconds after matching something.

Mael?

Wait.

Don't tell me that person is Cadmael?? Zavierro Kistan Cadmael? The man, who said he had business in this office?

They will have a meeting?

Zack will work with Theodore's company to do a 'Deluxe Season 2 Project in city B'?

Laughed out loud and denied it.

Aimee was sure all of that was impossible!

But...

"Excuse me, Boss. Mr. Zack has come to see you."

One of the female workers from the personnel department stepped into their midst and announced Zack's arrival.

Dorren always looked beautiful and neat in her elegant formal dress. Chose a bob haircut and hair color that she deliberately dyed blonde.

Aimee blinked a few times as she continued to hallucinate.

Zack?

Mr. Mael was Zack?

Whoa!

How could it be? And how can that be?

Aimee's brain felt like it was going to burst.

Just met him not long ago. Aimee had to accept the fact that she would be dealing with him after this! Whether she wanted it to or not?

And of course, Aimee didn't want that!

She wanted to accept but can't accept.

Didn't accept but that was impossible! Because her boss, Alfin intended to invite Aimee to join their meeting.

Aimee's stomach suddenly ached.

"Ouch! My stomach!" groaned Aimee.

Stared in shock and inclined his face to see what happened. Alfin looked curiously at Aimee.

"What's wrong? Your stomach hurts?" asked Alfin to find out.

"Yes, Mr. Boss. My stomach churned. And it seems that I can't accompany you to the meeting!"

Alfin walked forward a few steps and assessed. Asked once again with raised eyebrows and dissatisfaction.

"You seriously can't come with me and feel unwell?" asked Alfin disappointed because he did not want to be left alone to face the guest.

Alfin also actually had certain plans for Aimee. And didn't want Aimee to fail him.

But, Aimee actually wanted to dodge accidentally?

Hoho! Seriously!

Was this all a joke?

Aimee broke out in cold sweat. Wasn't good at lying. But also was not good at acting.

So what will Alfin think about her lie this time?

Kept staring at the other side when she was lying.

Alfin with a cynical look tugged the hem of Aimee's clothes. Pulled her out with her notebook and wouldn't let her go again.

Alfin was amazed.

"I know you're lying. And you're not very good at lying, Aimee. Therefore, don't make me laugh out loud at your totally unfunny jokes!"

Aimee looked weak.

It had been hard to resist and found a reason to get out of the problem.

Aimee was powerless to protest.

"Master Alfin! I'm not lying and my stomach really hurts! Why don't you believe me? And why do you keep putting my pride down?"

Pulling it like a pet and then touching it is also like an unhygienic object.

Indeed, in Alfin's shadow, what was Aimee's meaning?!

Aimee and Alfin stopped halfway to the meeting room.

Stopped the bickering for a bit. And provoked another squabble.

Alfin looked at Aimee indifferently behind his black eyes.

"I told you to work properly. Becoming a competent secretary, just like any other secretary in this office."

Aimee continued to listen.

"Now tell me, where is the fault? Where do I drop your pride? And where is the inconvenience I accidentally caused you?" Alfin grumbled.

Folded both hands in front of his chest. Alfin ignored several pairs of eyes who were watching them.

Aimee looked down.

Hated to be the center of attention. And hated when she had to look helpless.

Especially in front of this annoying boss!

Aimee lied again even though she knew her lie had been exposed.

"My stomach hurts! Why can't you understand and don't want to understand?" Aimee sulked like a child even though she was now in her 30-ish.

It was only a few days ago and Aimee was not happy to have to go through the complexities of her relationship with other people at such an old age.

Alfin raised his eyebrows and looked arrogantly.

"Your stomach hurts?" repeated Alfin with a mocking tone.

Aimee was indifferent.

"Yes!"

Nodded a few times and responded. Alfin didn't look surprised anymore.
