When it All Comes to Blow

"So what you are saying is that......" Levi trailed off, looking at Nathaniel. "Yes, I'm the heir to the throne," Nathaniel replied. "I was born a bastard, between Rod Reiss and another noble women." He paused. "I am Historia's older half-brother." The room went silent. Here in there midst was not 1, but 2 royal family members. "Well why didn't you tell anyway sooner then, would of made things a lot easier, now we got to track Historia and Eren down." said Levi. "The time wasn't right, I was on a mission to find Hisotria for Rod, now I know why." Levi, grabbed Nathaniel suddenly, jerking him up on the wall. "WHAT do you KNOW?" He asked angerly. "I know where they are going, to my family's chapel, I can point it out." words rushed out of Nathaniels' mouth. "He seeks to bring back the Founding Titan's power into the royal blood line using Historia." "Founding Titan? Eh, what a name for Eren's titan," Hange commented. "No, not the one we see." said Nathaniel. "What do you mean?" asked Levi, setting Nathaniel down. "Grisha, Eren's father, stole the Founding Titan's power from the Reiss family 5 years ago, when the wall were falling." he paused. "He massacred most of the Reiss family, except Rod, to get to it." "Was it in another user?" asked Hange. "Yes," nodded Nathaniel. "My older half-sister, legitamite, Frieda, had it." Nathaniel looked around the room, the eyes boring into him, "I only know this because right after Wall Maria fell, well after my mother had passsed, he came to get me from my mother's estate." "He said it was time for me to know how to rule this nation. I had suspected he was king beforehand, but this confirmed it, lining up with the odd comments my mother had made before she died about him."

Now, Petra asked, "What did he teach you?" "The Truth, or most of it," Nathaniel replied, "He didn't tell me everything, about his other family, his other affairs, but he tried to sent me on a proper course to ruling this country from the shadows." "So why did you leave him? You were set up." asked Armin. Nathaniel, shaking a bit, now sat down at a bench. " He lost track of Historia, he told me about my only other living sibling, so I joined the military to find her. I also didn't like his teachings and views of the world. He seemed indifferent to the plight of the people, especially after Wall Maria fell. I wanted to be free from him and chart my own course in life, and fix the wrongs the crown has made."

So that was that, the rooms' fears were gone for the moment. They briefly thought they had another spie amongst them, but really not. Now they had to save Eren and Historia from the clutches of Lord Reiss. "What do you plan to do now?" asked Levi. "As I'm not as affliated as much with the 'Corps, I'm going to participate in the coupe that shall be happening soon." "Why is that? " asked Hange. "Shouldn't you be here with us, helping get back your sister and Eren?" "No," replied Nathaniel. "I am vacillating on being here or at the capial, but I'm leaning towards the capital. In my learnigs with Rod, he brought me there to familiarize myself with goverance, so me being there wouldn't tip them off, rather, it would allivate the fears of those we try to coupe."

"Are you so sure?" askend Hange. Nathaniel paused, looked down, staring at his feet, comtiplating. "If only, if only they knew," he thought. "Actions speak louder than words, so I shall be there, at the capital, for the people, for the truth," he said. " My father shall no longer be the hidden king of this land, for I shall be the revealed king, the public's king!"
