Enigma resolved

I invited him over for dinner. To take care of unfinished business. We had joint accounts for our vacations, our old appartement and so many futile things. He - surprisingly- accepted and here he was in front of me. The man who took me for granted. He had no effect on me, not anymore.

I knew what he was doing. Just like when we met; touching his beard, licking his lips, three buttons undone. He was attractive but not for me. I learned the hard way how not to fall for vultures.
