His voice was like the light leading me out of the dark tunnel that I was in and all I could think about was Sterling and how he was trying to comfort me.

I snuggled up to him while trying to wipe my face clean. I was pretty sure I looked horrible at that moment but I didn't care, I just wanted to be with him.

"I'm so sorry for ruining tonight. Everything just suddenly became hard and I had this horrible flashback; I'm sorry,"

"You worry too much. We could totally do this some other time,"

"Yeah, we could," we sat there in the silence; each one of us left to our own world of thoughts but it was still a comfortable silence and neither of us wanted it to end but then, all good things must come to an end.

My stomach grumbled indicating that I was hungry and so was the baby. I was about to get all freaky on Sterling and I forgot the existence of this bun in the oven..

I face palmed myself multiply times..

"Looks like someone is starving,"

"Yeah, feed us now,"

We both laughed at our foolishness as we headed to the kitchen to whip up anything we could find.

What a day it had been and it was just the start of a new week…
