Rachael's POV

Everything has been happening so fast since I met Devon; one minute I'm inches away from death and about to be sacrificed for an archaic ritual I know nothing about, and the next minute I'm being paraded around his pack as their next Luna. All on the same day! Despite how confusing and fucked up this whole situation was, I had to keep a smiling face and wave to my adoring public. 

Because I knew the consequences that awaited me if they sensed this whole thing was a charade, it was hard enough to get them to believe the lie, but somehow Devon managed to pull it off as well as schedule a date and make preparations for our wedding. I should just be thankful that I am alive.
