His brows furrowed furthermore when he saw her whole figure shaking, is she that afraid of me?

He had never harmed her nor embarrass her, no matter how much she clamored for him for justice, he never take an action to settle her.

She's the one whose mind was filled with nothing but immoral thoughts, why is she the one getting angry? He already explained and took the time to advise her friend, even tolerating her friend's absurd statements.

She remained her stoic expression yet he can see the storm of emotions she kept on hiding.

The silence ensued, the sound of the ac humming was the only thing that filled the silence and before he could think, his lips had already opened.

"What happened to you?"

She blinked her eyes, the calm encasing her pupils before saying "I'm fine, just... how about you? What happened?"

Eyes darkening, he lowered his face and brood over the events that happened earlier.

It was an embarrassment for him, falling into someone's trap and letting her see him in a pathetic position.

"I've already dealt with it," he said in a clipped tone, reigning his anger inside. "I'll sleep on the sofa you- you can sleep here"

She smiled politely before laying on the bed with her back facing him, his eyes filled with a burning desire to ask her some questions.

But he didn't, he'll wait for her to say it herself, thinking about those questions of him till exhaustion finally got on him.

His jaw tightened after seeing the futile search from the other day. The matter isn't solved and it's making him cranky.

He looked at his secretary before spitting out cold words.

"Keep searching till you find something"

The secretary's eyes wanted to shed tears, the matter regarding the CCTV from the other day was like searching for a pin in an ocean of haystack.

Nothing was found as if it vanished its traces in the world.

The secretary left and he was the only person in this office, his face as cold as Antarctica as he recalled the events before.

He was socializing with another businessman, trying to gain projects and their cooperation before being called by his mother.

He left her in a bad mood, her words were too much, even for him.

"You two are not young anymore, your time is enough. I believe your wife is up to your taste, right? So why is there no movement in her stomach then?"

Because of that, he drank a bottle of vodka and before he knew it, someone knocked into his body. The soft body met his feverish figure, the perfume on her body was intoxicating till he heard her talk and he was soon out.

He didn't know what happened and just blackout, it felt like he was being controlled without his consciousness.

Then all of a sudden, he was facing a door with his hands already on the knob. His body felt feverish, he felt intoxicated even though he doesn't get drunk that easily.

His mind immediately kicked in and stepped out of the room, even though stepping out was tantamount to the feeling of a magnet being pulled.

The next thing he knew, he was doused into cold water by none other than his wife.
