Chapter 33

Parents worries about their child falling in love in an early age yet they contradict themselves when their child begins to get older.

A lot of parents have urged their child to marry, of course blind date is a necessity and something that is even advertise in TV. That's how much parents value seeing their child marrying and having a family of their own.

Blind date.

Maybe if I went into a blind date, I could have found someone else, or maybe I could be someone's wife now. Who knows? It's useless to think about what if's yet we still think about it from time to time.

Today, I already know A'liu's blind date partner, he's Zhu Rong Heng, a researcher from Canada who just got here for the sole purpose of looking for a spouse. It was his and every other parents wish to set their children to marry.

I remember Zhu Rong Heng because he's a gentle and principled man, I heard of his accomplishments in the country's technology and the fact that he's someone who adheres to filial pity and a responsible man.

In the script A'liu would act arrogantly and dressed herself flamboyantly without any care. She would express her outmost annoyance at this blind date and because Zhu Rong Heng is a typical boring man with a very gentle demeanor but behind those gentle smile lays a hidden sharpness.

That's what supposed to happen, but I'll give my all to prevent it from happening.

He's not like An Yi Wei who was cold and intimidating, he's a respectable and sociable guy with a very gentle manner.

But be careful of his gentleness because one may be drunk off of it and may never remain clear headed.

Just for this moment, let there be some kind of miracle, I don't dare say the word hope in fear that I'll be used to that feeling again.

"Where are you going?" I stop for a second before taking my sling bag with me and turn to him.

"I'm going to accompany A'liu today" I fished out my keys and didn't wait for his reply.

I was about to reach the door and leave when I heard him calling my name.

"Caia" I look at him in confusion, he's not a busybody, his time is so important it wouldn't be wasted with just silly talks.

"Yes?"

"I'll come with you" he was about to stand when I hurried over to his side.

"No it's fine, we'll manage, besides you still have work to do" I averted my gaze towards the table filled of documents.

"It's fine, I think I need fresh air just to get my system going"

If you want to get some fresh air you can get out of the house and go to the garden to walk or drive away from here.

"You'll just be bored by us-"

"You don't want me to come?" I was cut off by his words as I stand there with a surprised look before smiling.

I understand, I think I get a bit out of out of character this past weeks, maybe it's because of that fact that some things had change and that lead me into thinking that it's fine for me to change as well.

"Of course I do, I just worry that you'll get tired and bored, besides I'm helping A'liu on her blind date today" I said gently, still trying to figure out what wind blew in him that made him like this.

"I'm fine, just give me a second" he didn't even wait for me and went out to change.

I took my phone out and sent an apology to A'liu, in no time, she sent me a message with bold characters stating her anger at the blind date and my 'oh so wonderful husband's company'

"Let's go" I was taken by my sleeves and in just a second, we were out of the house.

I look at his side face, his eyes were still apathetic and it was still the oppressive aura he's exuding yet it was a bit unfamiliar now.

Something has truly changed and I'm a bit fearful of the now unpredictable future.
