What it means to be you

Have you ever felt so hopeless, that it started eating your soul till you drop dead silently? The same thing was going on with Anne. She was sitting at a corner of the bed in a gloomy manner with a knife in her hand. She was staring at the knife so intensly as if she was measuring it's sharpness.

' Why is she holding it like that? Does she want to die if yes then why? ' Caesar tried to look around the room to find a clue. He found a strange cuboid looking item which was spitting light from it. He was amused. When he took a close look at it, he found some foreign words which were written in it. Strangely, he could read it clearly. It was written that if she wants her parents alive then she had to marry that person.

Caesar frowned staring at that gadget. ' Marry him? Such a lowly person to use threatening as a way to marry someone ! ' He tried to call her, " Hey! Why does he want to marry you? " But there was no reply. The dream was replaying her memories so it was impossible for her to hear his words. Suddenly he found some bruises at her neck. He leaned at her to find the truth and was astonished. There was clear sign of abusement. He picked up that gadget in a hurry and try to find some more information but except the name and image of that person (Rehnold TR) , there was nothing there. ' Geez, he looks old. She is his daughter's age. ' He had no option other than wizardry. He maybe not as good as Christiano in wizardry but he was well skilled in the spect of information leaking curses. He used to use this curse to reveal informations from his enemies.

He chanted some verses and a hollow space appeared in front of her eyes. He touched her forhead leaning to her eyes. He saw her sitting in a cafe drinking coffee , then suddenly the image started fading and appeared a man. ' What the.. Was she drugged? ' The man took her inside a large mansion where there were many guards . "So she is finally here", said Rehnold. He grabbed her waist and took her in his bedroom. Slowly, slowly he took off her dress and mated with her. Anne was blinking her eyes that time which means she was awake. The drug made her unable to move her limbs. Tears were oozing out from her eyes the entire time.

Caesar quickly stepped back gasping for breath . He was frozen at the spot for a moment. ' How can someone do something so inhumane? Did it really happen with her? ' He wanted to hug her and console her, but there was nothing he could do at that moment except watching her from a far. He squeezed his hand , took a deep breathe and tried to organize all his thoughts when someone started knocking at the door.

" Aish the food is ready quickly come over to eat at the table and why have you locked the door? Come quickly. " By the sound of the person it seemed to be her mother calling her for breakfast. ' So her name was Aish in her previous life. ', he gave a meek smile which was half filled with melancholic darkness. Anne who was sitting there, hid that knife below her bed cover and unlocked the door. As the light fell on her, her face became fully visible . She had long thick black hair . Her eye's structure exactly resembled her eyes in Anne's form except her iris which was black like onyx.

The day turned into night, Anne was once again lost in the four walls of her dark bedroom , thinking about what she would do. ' Why does not she take legal help? ' ,just when he was thinking this he recalled what he saw during the day. ' There were many guards at that bast#rd's mansion. He must be someone powerful. Looking at how shabby Aish's house is, it would be difficult to win against him. ' He took a sigh in despair.

Anne picked up the gadget (The gadget here is a mobile phone. As mobile phone is something which was still not introduced in Hetrem, for Caesar it is nothing but a strange gadget.) and dialled a number.

" I agree to the marriage but please do not harm my family. " The entire time she was speaking , her hand was shaking. Caesar was angry. ' Why did she agree? Can not she ask help from the emperor. If I were the emperor at thar time I would have slaughtered that basta*d countless times. ', he grinded his teeth.

It was easy for Aish to commit suicide and have a peaceful death but what after that? What would happen if she dissaperead? Her parents who did nothing wrong would be tangeled in her misery and get an unfortunate death by Rehnold. Rehnold was a famous underworld gangstar infamously known as 'Ikka'. When Aish told her parents about the marriage thing, they were utterly shocked. Why won't they? He was in his late 40's while Aish was a mere college student. There was a huge age gap between them. They continuously asked her if she had any issues or trouble due to which she was taking a step like that but she did not answer a single question. She knew that they would give up their life for her, so she kept her mouth closed. And in a period of one month she got married with Rahnold. The entire time, Caesar was present there watching as a spectator. The more the days were passing, the more he could feel her pain. The pain he tried to understand all these years.

The day she was wedded with him, was the day her life in the golden cage started. In the wedding night, she was forcefully dragged to the bed by her hair. He even whipped her till blood oozed out from her skin. Her pale skin turned red. She was screaming the entire time asking for help . Caesar wanted to slap him to death, use that same whip show him what pain means but he could not do anything. He never felt that much helpless in his whole life. Caesar could no longer watch that horrible scene and went away from that room.

It was till the afternoon, she slept in that dreary room. When it was afternoon, she came from that room and sat at the dining room to eat . Caesar was standing next to her, he could no longer hold his tears when he saw the bruises at her neck and her arms. Even her hands were shaking when she picked up the spoon to eat.

Suddenly he felt someone's precense. ' Is it that basta*d again? I swear I am going to kill him this time. ' He turned his head to look out when he discovered a boy standing at a corner. He gasped as he saw him, who was having chestnut brown hair with dark brown eyes covered with rimmed spectacle. ' That boy...! ' His brain started hurting as if sudden burst of cells were occuring.

His body which was at Hetrem started having seizers. Christiano was bewildered. " What is happening , why is he having a seizure too? " , asked Caroline grabbing Christiano's arm.

He was himself shocked to give her a reply.

' What is even happening there? Is he getting his past memories too? '

Now both Caesar's and Anne's past life's memories got mixed up but it was only him who could see his past life's memories. Anne who was still in the dream of night bloom curse could only watch her past life memories unfolding one by one. Now the dream began from both of theirs perspective.
